silverfir
I hope and pray Super Zan-Zan has not been affected by the dreadful fires in Israel. But thanks for his hard work and all the best if he has decided to leave. I am using his files every day. kozlek
I am well. I decided to get back the code to assembla so other developers could make improvements to this project. Will do it later. Don't want to discuss this project here any more. If you have something to say do it on assembla. oSxFr33k
There is no need for that, I won't post here again. Thanks. evolve and let the chips fall where they may... I too have kernel panic's with only one of the kexts from the package. NVclock. I have to remove that kext when using it with either 9800GTX or 9500GT nvidia cards on either gigabyte MBs or asus MB in my signature. Just so you know you are not the only one observing this. Its a great project but is far from being finished. WHat sux is when you are right about something your comments may get criticised especially when the people who are hard at work with this project do know there are some issues that need correcting. They are the ones who work hard at this project and I can see how they may get testy but we actually do the beta testing for them to help correct code, and without us how can the code be perfected!! DarwinX
I was merely pointing out an alternative to novices that were continuously having problems with this particular project due to lack of support and development. It was in no way a critique of anything at all. Besides, both projects are directly linked and related to each other and in fact are quite identical, which I have always been aware of as I have been using the modified FakeSMC.kext from the branch on ProjecOSX. Why get defensive over a suggestion? It is counterproductive, we are all here for the same cause. MacKonsti
Guys, I think perhaps it's best to lock down this thread, as there seems no point in posting for something that's frozen or moved elsewhere (assembla as dear mozodojo pointed out)... M@dMac
perhaps this thread isn't locked yet 'coz maybe they are expecting this {censored} of his mother to get into sense and offer some kind of apology, which wouldn't matter anyways... :sighs: cheers to anyone related; great project! I would be it appears we have the same motherboard and the versions I have from earlier don't appear to want to work with it. Did you compile the plugins as well? I would be interested in those or even the ones you are using at the moment if you can upload those as well, thanks. Slice
These are compiled from assembla. Here is Rev. 439 with X3100 plugin. X3100 works if you correct dependency on FakeSMC v1.0.0. Maniac10
I don't get fan control with r439, I tried fakesmc, intelthermal, and it87x (inside superiofamily). It works fine with the older version (from slice), my system is in my signature, do you need more info about it? dino7777
Hello, now me too have switched from Slice's FakeSMC in S/L/E to new in E/E. I have only one issue: I use a nVidia 9800GT that gets recognized well (always in second attempt, but anyway). Only that I do not get fan values for the GFX and that the sensor temps seem quite low. I usually have values inrange from 20-max30 degrees Clesius?! I remember that with with Slice FakeSMC the G92 gfx cards made some trouble, i.e. was some work to get them working well with monitoring. Looks for me like still the G92 makes some (little) trouble. Is there any benefit if I put all other monitoring kexts in FakeSMC as plugIns? Cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/234452-hwsensors-project/page/11/#findComment-1611103 Share on other sites
