[GUIDE] Making a DSDT.aml for Dell XPS M1330, XPS M1530, and XPS M1730
DarwinX replied to immo's topic in Laptops
Based on your terminal output, your system does not show any kext conflicts. Also, I believe that the HDADisabler.kext has been obsolete for quite a while. Again, your sound stuttering issue might be caused by some incorrect settings within the VodooHDA.kext Info.plist. Within the aforementioned Info.plist., change the Boost from 1 to 0 and Vectorize from YES to NO. Also, try this latest VoodooHDA.kext-v2.8.7.zip -

Install this into your System/Library/Extensions/ directory: BroadcomAppleBluetooth.kext.zip I believe that his sound stuttering issue might be due to some incorrect settings within the VodooHDA.kext Info.plist. Within the aforementioned Info.plist., try setting the Boost from 1 to 0 and Vectorize from YES to NO or vice versa. -
Both FakeSMC.kext versions Info.plists appear to be identical short of the version number and yet the problem persists. For now, I will simply continue using the older FakeSMC.kext version 3.3.1. Thank You for your work!

Bungo, you are absolutely correct as usual. Upon closer inspection of the message presented by the Chameleon at boot up, it turns out that the newer Chameleon revisions support the hidden /.IABootFiles directory which contains a com.apple.Boot.plist as well as unusable kernelcache file which Chameleon attempts to unsuccessfully load. Deleting the aforementioned directory successfully resolves this issue. Thank You, Bungo!

iCloud, AppStore, iMessage NOT WORKING !
DarwinX replied to MacLova's topic in OSx86 10.10 (Yosemite)
The appropriate and successful solution already exists. If you are unable or unwilling to implement it, it is no one's fault but your own. Hackintoshing does require some degree of effort and understanding and the aforementioned iMessage guide is actually very simple and straightforward but does require some effort and time in order to comprehend it and implement it in your specific system. How else would you expect anyone to help you? Bottom line, no one will do your work for you. If you want a fool proof operating system, go back to Windows or get a real mac. -
Nothing else has changed. I have tried your latest HWSensor automatic installation package as well as extracting the package with Pacifist and then installing the resulting appropriate kexts via Chameleon Wizard. I have installed both versions several times using the same installation methods, and rolled them back to the previous version several times even running Disk Utility each time for good measure. In both instances, there are no permission errors and kextstat and System Information both show the FakeSMC.kext and its plugins installed correctly. Each time, the latest FakeSMC.kext version 3.4.0 causes a black screen upon system Wake while FakeSMC.kext 3.3.1 presents no such issue. In the past several years, I have never experienced any issues with your branch of FakeSMC HWSensors, and I have also never experienced black screen upon system Wake for any reason. Absolutely! Read and implement this elaborate iCloud/iMessage guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303073-pattern-of-mlb-main-logic-board/ How else could anyone help you? -

No to all of the above. No kernel panic, but on any Chameleon version above 2401, the boot loader simply refuses to load the kernelcache file located in the /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches directory on my secondary partition (disk0s4) which is my main system. Instead, the Chameleon entirely ignores the kernelcache file and reloads all kexts with each boot up. Again, this issue does not occur with any lower Chameleon revisions -- the kernel cache is correctly read and utilized. /dev/disk0 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *320.1 GB disk0 1: EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1 2: Apple_HFS OS X 10.9.5 138.5 GB disk0s2 3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s3 4: Apple_HFS OS X 10.8.5 180.0 GB disk0s4 5: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s5 No, should I? <dict> <key>CSTUsingSystemIO</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(0,4)</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateTStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1680x1050x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v</string> <key>ShowInfo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>2</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>Universe</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>1</string> </dict>

Beginning with the Chameleon revision of approximately 2401, the boot loader fails to utilize and load the kernelcache on my secondary partition. The kernelcache itself is NOT at fault as this ssue does not occur with any Chameleon versions prior to 2400. Please advise.

Your latest FakeSMC.kext (3.4svn-r751) causes a black screen upon system's wake from Sleep. Reverting to the previous FakeSMC.kext (3.3.1svn-r748) version completely eliminates this issue. Please advise.

iCloud, AppStore, iMessage NOT WORKING !
DarwinX replied to MacLova's topic in OSx86 10.10 (Yosemite)
Good luck with that. There will never be a "Simple FIX" as this is not a simple issue. If you are unable or unwilling to put in the requisite effort, you will not have iMessage/Facetime. -

Here is the latest VoodooHDA.kext version 2.8.7 with both Boost set to 0 and Vectorize set to NO in its Info.plist. This kext with the above mentioned options turned off ought to resolve your stuttering sound issue with the VoodooHDA.kext. VoodooHDA.kext-V.2.8.7.zip -

He is referring to the MacBookPro5,1 section of the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext Info.plist which he replaced with the customized power management details specific to his NVidia GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB (Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)/Device ID: 0x0407) while entirely removing the previously present GFX0 section.
