i know! and i think you knew i knew! i fessed up somewhere else that this was my primary source of info for this thread. It is a great site. there was another great one called osxaudio.com but it reinvented itself as a digital audio site for all platforms, leaving a big gap in the internet.....

Most of the ReFX stuff has been ported to UB: Vangaurd, quardaSID, NEXUS.

Also the PSP crew: Vintage Warmer, Nitro, Lexicon, Neon.

I saw a few Arturias mentioned earlier in the thread but my CS80, minimoog, and moog modular are working.

My Ableton Live 6.0.5 still crashes sometimes on OSX...

My supatrigga and my live cut arent working like they should... Ive used these effects for years now and the ppc livecut was a bit shakey but the UB doesnt even play audio through when audio is on the fly instead of pre-rendered... I still use XP a lot for making music because it is stable and my plugin Library is quite ridiculous. I couldnt live without Dblue glitch, Jackdark stuff, Livecut, supatrigga, Voxengo tools(love em), and BBE sonic maximizer....

Picked this trick up from somewhere, don't know if it has been posted here, but you can get Power PC (non intel) VST/VSTi/AU plugins running on intel machines (leopard, tiger, whatever) with your sequencer of choice by doing the following;

Grab the last PPC version of RAX (I think it's Rax v1.2.3... from memory) (newer versions are UB and will not work in this scenario it has to be the PPC version)

when you open Rax it will now run under Rosetta Emulation on your intel mac/hackintosh.

your PPC plugins will be detected and run in RAX :) nice!

now route any required midi channels from your sequencer to RAX via IAC...

route any audio channels between the sequencer and RAX (not actually necessary unless you want to record output/add more fx in sequencer).. or vice versa via PLASQ's wormhole plugin (it's free now too).

Theres likely to be a fairly sizable CPU hit due to rossetta but not really that bad if you're a using multi-core CPU (and only tested Spectrasonics Trilogy so far myself).. and if you wanna use a particular plugin BADLY.. it could be worth the price..

all respect to whoever worked this procedure out in the first place.

I decided to add this one.

A decent emulation of the ugly Roland SH-101. and guess what... It's a freebie here.

thumb_tal-bassline.jpg

TAL-BassLine is a virtual analog bass synthesizer especially made for bass, acid sounds and effects. It’s based on a robust core and has the usual controls of analogue hardware synthesizers.

A unique -18dB low pass filter with a lot of asymmetric and random components introduce a warm and analogue sound. Very fast, non linear envelopes are also a part of this synth.

Bandlinited oscillators (saw, pulse).

Sub-oscillator: square -1 oct., square -2 oct., pulse -1 oct, pulse -2 oct.

-18 dB/octave low-pass filter (resonant/self-oscillating).

LFO (frequency: 0,1 .. 30 Hz, waveforms: sin, tri, saw, rec, noise).

Very fast nonlinear envelope (A: 1.5ms..4s, D: 2ms..10s, S: 0..100%, R: 2ms..10s).

Simple Arpeggiator (up, down, one octave mode).

2x Unisono Mode.

Panic button.

MIDI automation for all sliders and pots.

Precise fader control while holding down the "Shift" button.

Supports all sample-rates.

2x oversampling.

23 presets.

have anyone been able to authorize anything from IK Multimedia on Kalyway 10.5.2 with their avaliable "keygen"?

Heya,

I have a few IK's plugs on Kal's 10.5.2

Samplemoog (mono,stereo and all multis)

Amplitube Ampeg SVX

Amplitube 2

ARC

T-RackS 3

What exactly is your problem with the keygens?

Thanks Kondi, I'll give that a go.
