  1. Hi. Anyone using the TerraTec Aureon dual usb sound card ? I couldn't find a working driver for my BadAxe2 onboard sound (Sigmatel I think) so I bought the cheap Aureon from TerraTec. But the sound disappear after a while. If I start another sound source (like another browser with a youtube video) I get choppy sound. I'm not sure if this is because there's something wrong with this one or if it's a known Hackintosh SL problem ? I may buy a Behringer USB card, but I'm afraid I'll just get the same problems with that one. Anyone got the Aeuron card working 100% ?
  2. R.I.P. BadAxe2

I'm shouting :-). I'm about to give up on it. Could you paste the steps in here or something ? As I wrote in another thread I only get a black screen after installing Ultimate BadAxe and trying to boot from SL install disc. Thanks
  3. Snow Leopard 10.6 Bad Axe 2 Guide..

How did it work out for you ? I'm having the same problem. "Loading darwin x86" for a couple of seconds and then it goes black. None of those kernel flags helps either. I used Ultimate BadAxe, updated my Bios and installed the bootloader, but can't get past the black screen when trying to boot the SL disc. I may capitulate and get a Gigabyte board.
  4. Snow Leopard on Bad Axe 2

I have the same board (and Q6600), but I only get "Installation Failed" half way through the Hazard installer. What options did you check ? Did you do anything else in preparation first ? Any of you experienced the same error and solved it or know any other "distro" I should be using instead ? Thanks
  5. Snow Leopard on Bad Axe 2

Yes, I have set SATA mode to AHCI in bios. Sorry, forgot to mention that. I have followed Tader's guide until the rebuild of the Extensions.mkext. I get this error when I then try to reboot without -s -f -32.
  6. Snow Leopard on Bad Axe 2

Hi. I'm trying to follow Tader's guide from the first page, but when I try to boot the SL install I get disk IO error (see image). I couldn't find this error in any of the other posts and I've tried to follow the guide thoroughly. Is there anything I have forgot to do ? I admit I'm not very technical of me BadAxe2, Q6600. Thanks for any push in the right direction.
  7. I'm about to buy a new graphics card to use with two 24" displays. Anyone got a recommendation for a good, supported card with 2xDVI ? I never play games so I don't need the fastest 3d chip out there and prefer a card that's not so expensive.
  8. Thanks! That worked perfectly :-) From iDeneb 10.5.4 -> 10.5.5
  9. Anyone know if the app or the certificate will contain any information about the computer ? Would they discover that it is developed on a Hackintosh ?
  10. Sorry for gravedigging. I followed this guide until I came to the repair windows install part. Vista says it can't find any OS to repair. When I boot up now I get the bootloader where I can choose Windows or OSX, when I try to boot Vista I get an error saying there's something wrong with the installation, but as I said it won't find it when I'm trying to repair it. Anyone ?
  11. I trust mine 100%. Haven't had any trouble with it and haven't booted into windows since january or something. Its a dream to work with and beats the {censored} out of the G5 I have at work. I also use Kalyway 10.5.2 on my HEL80 laptop and it runs great & everything works except shutdown. Allthough it feels a little more sketchy on my laptop than on my desktop.
  12. i'm triplebooting (same drive, 3 primary partitions) Vista, Kalyway and Ubuntu, and I installed them in that order. I had to edit (put Leopard in as a boot option) the /boot/grub/menu.lst after installing ubuntu and I had to repair Vista, but after that everything was working great. I upgraded to 10.5.2 after I was done with all this, using comboupdate, netkas' 9.2.0 kernel & graphics update.
  13. I don't have that option in BIOS (badaxe2), but I have USB legacy enabled. I just updated the BIOS since the releasenotes says "Fixed issue where certain keyboard does not work with USB Legacy support", but still no luck
  14. I bought the new aluminum keyboard from Apple, but it doesn't work on boot. After searching around I found that many Mac mini's have the same problem. Anyone got this working on boot ? Kae.
  15. Turn off touchpad tapping ?

That's only on real macbook's, isn't it ? Or have I gone blind Can't find any such settings...
