I've successfully installed iDeneb v1.3 on my machine, but now I'd like to install some of the drivers from the dvd, how do I access those files from the DVD in OS X? which directory do I have to open? Because i couldn't notice those files anywhere. Help!

More often than not, on this forum if you type in your chipset or motherboard brand/name and the type of kext you're looking for, you will find it.

hi, i have problems with this version. kalyway 10.5.2 works fine for me, but ideneb gives me this problem and cannot boot for the first time after installation on my p5w dh deluxe.

mdworker[82] (Error) SyncInfo: Boot-cache avoidance timed out!

can anyone lend a hand?

I'd remove all video drivers and then go to this thread http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=132089 and use those drivers. while the main topic of the discussion is GF9 series, it should help some as the drivers posted there came from the latest macupdate I believe.

solved my problem here in the standby screen!

Started the system in -s, del all Id's kexts in the NV40 NV50 NVResman, which has left only the "& amp 0f00f" was still being charged while the NV40 and NV50 in the boot, then the system started with the -s and used rm-rf in NV40. now started in the -x replace NV with the JaS's DVD bingo, everything perfect now!

:)

this has been the best install for osx86 for me thus far, running on my badaxe2 q6600 4gb ram, thanks a TON!

one issue left and i am tempted to not worry about in fear of breaking this perfect install.... I cant boot into osx without the install dvd in the drive. I am sure someone has covered this at some point, havent over come this with any of my osx installs yet. any step by step ideas for this noob?

This has also been by far my smoothest install yet, it just feels better i guess because i didnt have to hunt for other kexts or "try" to get everything working, it just did right from the start and im happy. The only thing that didnt work on the first boot was my creative SB audigy 2 sound card but i wasnt expecting it to either, although it is now thanks to the kx drivers. so A HUGE THANKS to whoever made iDeneb and to the maker/s of the kx drivers for soundblaster cards, you guys are great...

FOR ATI USERS: IN THIS MOMENT THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH NEWS KEXT 10.5.5. I AND TEAM ARE WORKING ON THIS PROBLEMS.

Hi Layne. I really appreciate ur work, really fantastic working. Got couple of qustions though. I've got a ATI RADEON X1950XTX 512MB and a Monitor/Display Samsung Syncmaster 203B. But my display isnt being recognized on iDeneb. How can i solve this problem? I've also got a lotta pixel faults. But in game, everythings fine. I do also have a prob with the X11pkg, cuz Crossover isnt working on iDeneb.

Thx

You need to set your OSX partition as bootable. Try burning a gparted cd (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/) and using it to set the boot flag.

I seem to have a problem with mine. When I am running mac OS it kernel panics randomly. Im not sure if its something to do with me running Adobe CS3, if downloading is an issue, or if its because i am running 4Gbs of ram which i read could be a problem with hackintosh computers. Any help would be nice. Thanks

I got this installed and I'm writing this email from my iDeneb.

However, two problems. I'm a newbie so sorry in advance.

Display is stuck at 1024x768. I have a 20" LCD (should be able to get 1600x1200). Here's some info:

Chipset Model: GMA 950

Type: Display

Bus: Built-In

VRAM (Total): 64 MB of shared system memory

Vendor: Intel (0x8086)

Device ID: 0x2772

Revision ID: 0x0002

Displays:

Display:

Resolution: 1024 x 768

Depth: 32-bit Color

Core Image: Hardware Accelerated

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Supported

QuartzGL: Supported

Where should I start looking for a solution? In System preferences 1024x768 is the only option.

Other problem is audio. I have Asrock ConRoe1333-D667 which has ALC882 according to the manual.

System profiler says:

No Built-in Audio.

Edit: I got audio working by reinstalling iDeneb and selecting all audio drivers.

I have tried OSX86Tools but no help.

Thanks..

That worked! Thanks! :(

(Hope this remembers that setting though, haven't rebooted since.)

Edit: Actually it didn't remember it though. I suppose there is a simple fix for this?

yes, there is.

edit the file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist and insert the lines:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>

<string>1600×1200×32</string>

yes, there is.

Thank you so much.

Hmm, I'm wondering if there is a way to check the video driver to make sure it is using the right one? Video seems strangely slow somehow.

Currently this is what System profiler says:

I use the native drivers in 10.5.5 in 1280 x 1024 x 32 resolution. It isn't slow. However, it could be if in 1600 x 1200. Just trim down your resolution to see.

I mean, compared to Windows XP, the animations seem a little slow. I'm supposing there should be enough power to make them smooth. I'm not really sure what video driver this is using - is there any low level way to check that? (I'm experienced with XP but not OS X.)

Even though this says "hardware accelerated" I'm not really sure. Maybe this uses some kind of generic driver and not the GMA950 or something - who knows.

Hi all,

I tried to install iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 but it is not working.

The installation process went fine, but when I reboot my system, I get to a screen with the apple logo; after some seconds, I get a “do not enter" logo on top.

I tried many different customizations but don’t know if I did something wrong.

What settings should I select in order to have this release working?

My system is:

Mobo: Asus P5E-VM HDMI

Processor: Intel Dual Quad Q6600 at 24.4Mhz

Graphic Card: Saphire ATI HD 2600 PRo PCI-e

RAM: Corsair 2x2GB DDR2 800FSB

HDD: Maxtor 500GB SATA

I installed MacOSX on a Clean Sata disk patition.

Thanks in advance for your help.
