the Lilu.ket you are using is out of date, other in this thread have posted the newer version

    [pre-release] macOS Big Sur

I got caught in the boot loop doing the install over beta 1 so I decided to make a USB installer with Beta 2, doing some work with the EFI, the USB installer booted and I was able to install a fresh copy onto a SSD, all working now, I did have to select RESET NVRAM after copying the EFI folder from the USB to the SSD but after that it booted fine. Everything working on the HP 800 G1

Updating from Big Sur beta 1 to beta 2, I am getting "Download failed", check internet connection, its not an internet connection issue... thoughts ?

what files do you have in the Drivers folder ?
  7. you are missing some files and or settings in your config.plist. you can either post your EFI folder or you can find the post I made that has the Haswell EFI folder for HP 800 G1 Elitedesk.
  8. Intel what GEN ?
  9. interesting, I wouldn't trust an image made someone else, I guess if you are just testing then maybe that's ok but still... its not ready for prime time and still needs optimization. I installed BS from a real Mac mini and put that SSD in my test machine, although the OS is interesting, Catalina is my main driver.
  10. Excellent, I got sleep working, BCM94360 working natively, for Sound I am using VoodooHDA, AppleACL causes issues on the HP 800 G1, the only issues I have is speed step as the fan is running faster all the time. I cannot find a copy of Intel Power Gadget as they removed from their site. the only one I found is the version from those malware sites.... Enjoy
  11. @chris1111 I choose iMac 14,4 and got the proper iGPU, is sleep working ?
  12. what I did... format the drive with GUID, partition the entire drive with AFPS. install Bug Sur on to it.
  13. HP 800 G1 mini (should work with others in that line) CPU = Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz (Haswell) SMBIOS = iMac14,4 Working Sleep Wifi and Bluetooth (BCM4360) not working speed steep, fans seem to be running faster. method Format the target SSD with GUID and then partition the drive with AFPS Install Bug sur from a working Mac mini using a USB SSD adapter mounted EFI partition and copied OC EFI folder, make sure to get your own serial numbers placed SSD into HP 800 G1 and let it boot. Presented with Bug Sur desktop, enjoy I am still refining this EFI and has newer OC versions and kext are released we should expect to see better results, this would not qualify for my daily driver yet but its cool to play with. If you need OS X for work then wait, this is still buggy. EFI_HP_800_Haswell.zip
  14. Big Sur on HP 800 G1 mini Installed Big Sur from a real Mac (Mac mini) using a USB SSD, mounted the EFI partition and copied my EFI folder. (after many hours of trial and error), install the SSD into my HP 800 G1 mini and the system boots into the desktop, finished user settings. Sleep is working but fans seem to be running fast. all in all seems to be good. I using VooDooHDA for sound. Thanks to all with the great posts that helped figure out, this is not ready for prime time but its cool to play with...
