Dainix
Got it downloaded, burned, and installed yesterday. It's pretty solid so far. Were CS3 problems fixed up? I could never start up that suite of programs with BrazilMac's version of Leopard at 10.5.1.
Macshiba
Hey Eddie, I rebooted again, and patched HDAPatcher with ALC662 dump yet again and I believe I have it working for good this time.It could have been an error with my speakers, as when I booted into Windows I had no audio as well.As for everything else, it seemed like the graphics was a minor bug in the installation, but this release is by far the greatest.I apologize for saying it seemed flawed to me, but that was a misunderstanding and please don't think I don't appreciate the work you've done. You are amazing, and if it weren't for you I wouldn't have Leopard on my new machine. You sir are godlike.*Insert HL2 Godlike.mp3* Got it downloaded, burned, and installed yesterday. It's pretty solid so far. Were CS3 problems fixed up? My board is similar to yours. The best way to find out however is.... to test it out. Good luck.Got it downloaded, burned, and installed yesterday. It's pretty solid so far. It will be a zip file but it fixes the CS3 issues.

Grin.hqx
Does anyone have a list of trackers that have the file? And also, I'm getting some pretty slow speeds using TPB... 4.0 KB/s down, 40 KB/s up. Anyone out there with a good seed box IP?

exholt
is it rebooting right after the extensions load? On the Dimension 4600, reboots after the extensions and right when the bootloader(s) are being loaded. I have tried enabling S1 or S3 in the BIOS settings and it makes no difference. On my ASUS P4B based Desktop whose details are in my signature, it reboots right after the extensions....does not even get to the bootloader. kitmac
Try reloading AppleNforceATA.kext from another install, if you have any other hdd's with Leopard, and the repair the permissions and rebuild extensions.mkext that did it for me and now everything works fine. This is an easy fix if you have another hdd with zephyroth, or kalyway boot into it get the AppleNforceATA.kext from the extensions folder. Now copy it into the extensions folder of Eddie's leopard. Go into Disk utility repair the permissions for Eddie's Leopard. Now restart and change your hdd setup so that you boot into Eddie's Leopard. At bootup press F8 or F10 (whatever it is) so now you need to rebuild the extensions.mkext folder by pressing -f. Now you should be able to get to the welcome screen. Is it possible to have a working install without the "applenforce.kext" ???? I've done a search in my extensions folder and don't find it... Not surprising since I installed kalyway without that specific kext because i noticed that i would always get the "waiting for root" error...but following your logic and my past install history... what if I make a new .DMG from the DVD remove applenforce.kext, fix permissions on new .dmg, reburn and try again with -f......????????????????? let me know....... zitounec
I've got the download finished OK. 36 .rar files from V3-Final.part01.RAR to V3-Final.part36.RAR I've double-clicked on the .R01 file but stuffit required the .R00. Any Idea to fix that ? Thanks
Macshiba
Use something other than Stuffit. There is something wrong with using Stuffit with this package.

If you don't have that kext in the extensions folder then I am assuming that is not what is causing "waiting for root device" You could possibly try that, I am not sure if it will work but it's worth a shot. What are your computer specs? Also you can try my suggestion to selfdestruct.I've got the download finished OK. 36 .rar files from V3-Final.part01.RAR to V3-Final.part36.RARI've double-clicked on the .R01 file but stuffit required the .R00.Any Idea to fix that ?ThanksIf you are using Windows try using Rarzilla- it's free.If you are using Mac try using unRarX- it's also free. niffer022
@niffer022 where do you see NO Write for rdisk1s2 in disk utility? i noticed something after its loading the extentions and well im guessing loading into the frst bootup of leopard. then i read somewere that if i typed in /sbin/fsck "blaa blaa lost paper with it written on doh " i could make sure it was a active boot, but thats when i noticed the NO WRITE. After iv installed leopard and it asks to reboot, is there another section to the install that im missing, could this no write be causing this... iv been at it now for 3 solid days, and now lack of sleep and a short fuse is starting to get noticed at home and work.. think im gonna go out and buy a mini mac lol
eddie11c
I always see the failed to mount diskxsx for my NTFS drives, and skipping kernel link generation because disk is read only on the installer. This is normal. If you are getting stuck its likely from something else.

Then boot with this bootflag(F8) debug=0x00000102 io=0x00200004 It will post alot of information about each kext that is loaded. Usually the last one you see when it gets stuck is the cause. Just post the last couple of lines when it freezes.
