    GM and EFI partition

I've done a lot of the steps for this and I can't seem to get it to boot. I either get a never ending loading logo at boot and when checking verbose mode it seems to be hanging for me at NVEnabler:: Probe Fails. And I honestly don't know what else to try.
  2. I'm selling a used Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 1.8Ghz Lapped CPU. Free Shipping to USA. Buy It Now for $50.00. It can be BSEL Modded if you wish, just let me know in a message on eBay after purchase. I can BSEL Mod it from 200 to 266FSB, which ups the default clock from 1.8Ghz to 2.4Ghz. This CPU is amazing for a budget. It can run over 3.0Ghz on very low voltage. I had it at 2.8Ghz on stock voltage before lapping, and it wasn't above 34C idle. Lapped means that I have smoothed the surface to allow better contact with the heatsink, which dropped my temps about 5C. Could be more on a better cooler. Ends in 24 hours. Cheers. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=180309624559 Dropped to 40.00.
  3. I'm selling an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Intel Socket 775 Cooler + a tube of Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. It's used, but it's in perfect condition. I'm selling it because it's a little too big for my small board and it tends to come into contact with some of the contacts on the board, so I do not want it anymore. You can bid on it or buy it now. I just bought it on October 23rd from NewEgg, and it has been seated onto one processor. The thermal paste is also new, but used twice on two different processors, so there is enough to last. The price and shipping is firm and is cheaper than getting a tube of Arctic Silver and the Cooler on NewEgg together. It'll ship the next day or the morning of the payment. PayPal only. Thanks if you're interested. I just need it sold so I can pick up a different cooler now since I do not want to use the stock cooler, but would like something a little better but smaller than the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7. If you know somebody who wants one, and doesn't want to spend $40 at NewEgg for the cooler and paste, then direct them here. Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=180302321293
  4. The AsRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 is a horrible board. The VIA chipset will only allow one core to be used without your ethernet dropping over time. A better board is the Gigabyte 945GCM-S2C. 100% compatible. It's perfect, and there are no issues at all.

Nvidia 8600 GT PLEASE HELP !

Mannn, you had more work to do than me, but I'm glad you got it working!
  6. Make sure you install on a Volume with only one word, for example Leopard or Hackintosh. If your volume when you formatted in Disk Utility is more than one word, for instance Hackintosh HD or something, then it most likely won't work.

stuck on the endless gray loading screen...

How about you actually give us your hardware instead of just saying "ASUS MB.." There are hundreds of those. Jesus Christ, stop being lazy and do some more searching.

Nvidia 8600 GT PLEASE HELP !

Install OS X with NOTHING selected in the Graphics Drivers options in Customize of the install. When booted and working, download this: http://rapidshare.com/files/100669894/NVInstallerV.41.pkg Choose the first option that should already be checked, and then choose the 512mb or whatever part is for your card. Reboot, and if it's still not working, then download and do the same thing with this one: http://www.mediafire.com/?kn9jpyan1gd Do not remove any files after installing V.41. Installing the kexts from V.41 and then installing V.52 is the only way that I got my 8600GTS running, and it should be the same for you guys.
  9. Preinstalled software is a no go. We don't want to use your OS and have everything preinstalled. We want to be able to install it ourselves. I'm not going to pay a lot of money for preinstalled software and not be able to reinstall myself. Remove the software, or lower the price or you're not going to get anything for it at all. And you even out "Preloaded software without disks or licenses." Gee, that sounds like a great deal for you to try to scam someone without even having licenses for the software you're trying to get someone to overpay for.

    [WTB] Low-end used older MacBook

What's really ridiculous is you hoping to find a decent Macbook for that price.
  11. If you install the 2GB, the 512MB will be disabled, and you will have 2GB total. I'll help you out with installing if you need it. Just PM me if you need any help because people don't always reply when you need help.

    R.I.P Prawker

R.I.P, buddy. I remember talking to him countless times about invites and helping out in the invite thread when Demonoid was down and then when it came back. Just goes to show that the good people always get the worst in this world.
  13. Yes, the guide on this site works for those as well. That's what I use now. The EP35 just has energy saving technology, but it's the same board. Definitely amazing, and great for OS X. I found mind on NewEgg for $79.99.
  14. The Gigabyte P35-DSXX boards are where I would start. They are almost completely compatibile and there are guides on here on how to go about it.
  15. I want this notebook, but for the same price, I could rebuild my desktop, and it would be far far far amazing compared to the notebook, so I think I might pass for now, but I'll end up getting it again, perhaps sometime around Christmas with check bonuses.
