  1. Clover is now getting all its files from where the efi is in. So if you put Clover in "EFI/Microsoft/Boot", you have to put config.plist, kexts dir etc. in that dir. I didn't know that, but it's interesting. That said, you have a much simpler solution that will also bring you new possibilities : BootLoaderChooser (https://github.com/jief666/BootloaderChooser/releases) You put that BootX64.efi in EFI/Microsoft/Boot, rename it "bootmgfw.efi" if you need to. Next reboot, you'll have a text menu. Choose your Clover wherever is it. Next reboot you won't see that text menu unless you boot when a key kept pressed down. This allows you to have multiple Clover folder AND multiple Clover efi file inside each Clover folder.

  3. still unable to install BigSur from the USB installer! here I used the last Commit that iCanario posted continues with the same error and I'll make it clear: Neither Opencore in any version (I haven't tested the 0.6.3 dev) nor Clover I can install BigSur no version the error is the same in both Bootloaders (Catalina installs without a problem) step 1 follow the prints! *this first installation step goes well Google translate ! step 2 where everything happens is that it arrives at the screen with the mouse pointer and sends to pass the discount of 29 minutes it simply restarts and always stays on it without going any further Google translate !

Thank you follow the prints in the difference! debug.log I haven’t tested the installation yet, but I’ll even test it today and answer later!

  5. And remember to clean in the config.plist the prev-lang:kbd field. Oh sorry just read better esaf comment: in my case if language is forced in the config.plist (other than english) grey screen; if left empty all is ok (and choosing english in the language selector).

  6. It's a Apple "Bug": all the forums talk about this. Beta 10 comes with US English only for recovery mode, for a clean installation. So you have to choose only this language.

  7. @iCanaro 5126 doesn't yet exist. When we think we are almost ready for it, I'll ask here for you all to test. If everyone passes, we release. That'll probably happens in few days. Before that, your task is to prepare your tab in the spreadsheet. It's easy, just create a line per combination of hardware/macOS version.

  8. No serious problem. It is working method. Can you give us preboot.log to see what is the problem this way?

  9. No need for renaming, that can cause serious problems. Leave the Windows boot files alone. Copy & Paste the CLOVER and BOOT folder to the EFI, in Windows cmd (admin mode) use this command to set Clover to default: bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi Then restart.

  14. Hi everyone This post is more concerning all our current and futur Just Joined members. Back in the days we had IPB v3.x.x software version, we implemented a quiz to prevent spammers from posting their articles. But since the last forum upgrade (to IPB v4.x), the quiz plugin needed to be completely recoded from scratch for Invision Community 4.x but never seen the light. As a result, it allowed all our Just Joined members to post and create new topics almost over the whole forum... including spammers. So to overcome the problem related to the absence of a quiz to counter spammers, I just created a new group promotion rule that will move all members from Just Joined group to Newbies group once they reached 5 posts. But that this rule can make sense, I also removed all forum access (from creating new topics and replying) to the Just Joined group except New Users Lounge section. So for asking for help, please do it in that section 'till you reached Newbies group level. With that move, it will not prevent spammers from posting but at least their content(s) will be condensed in one and only area, which would help us to better deal with them. So before you ask why you no longer are able to post in a specific area, this is why. Of course, once accessed to Newbies group, you'll also have some restrictions but it should be more in accordance with the permissions you currently have. But as reminder, to have a full forum access, you need to reach full Members group level (10 posts). Thank you for your understanding. BR fantomas

  19. Did you fill in the Language Section in the config.plist? If left blank will sometimes hang and cause a grey screen.

  20. Clean NVRAM where OpenCore tends to write "boot-args=...". This is wrong because this variable is not a business for a bootloader. In my case Verbose is this menu works fine.

  21. For those who have problem with sleep (wake is not working at all, only reboot will help and also got panics about DC9/DC6 - here is the solution: https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/1207 Try to use bootargs -noDC9 or -nodisplaysleepDC6 (in my case -noDC9 worked well, so i didn't test the second one, but i saw guy, who have used the second one too and it's worked as well as first one)

  22. It looks like that, but you still have to modify "bootmgfw.efi". The content of "bootmgfw.efi" will be the BootloaderChooser efi. The Windows bootloader starts first, but it's not Windows bootloader anymore. It's BootloaderChooser. Sorry, not too sure of the meaning.

  23. The feature is follow: Some bioses don't want to start bootx64.efi. They want to start only EFI/Microsoft/bootmgrw.efi. So the trick is replace this file to Clover and Clover already knows the file name "bootmgfw-orig.efi" to start Windows.

  26. I really dont see how is that possible. The message, in case of a boolean is expected is "Expecting <true/> <false/> or <string> tag containing true, false, yes or no" I copied/pasted this key and it works : no complain when it's "<string>No</string>". Send me back your config.plist AND the version of the validator you're using, please, and I'll have a look.

  27. In HP notebook, only there "OS Boot Manager" as UEFI Entry boot, And i have single Disk with Windows and macOS. I have copy CloverX64.efi to EFI/Microsoft/Boot and rename the original "bootmgfw.efi" to "bootmgfw-orig.efi" then rename "CLOVERX64.efi" to "bootmgfw.efi" But, in 5125 (I don't test it in 5124, 5122 is still normal) it doesn't work anymore. The config.plist is not recognized,, and i got default theme loaded by this method. I revert back to 5122,, please @Jief_Machak give solution

  29. I confirm that "KernelCpu" disappear in April 2020. I can't find any trace of SlpSmiAtWake in March 2019. So it probably disappeared before that. Yes, false positive. I fixed it. Did I send you the wrong version ? Can't find a key "Connectors". I confirm it does nothing. In top of that, the array was empty. So I safely guess that this key can be deleted Mistake I guess. We have to validate that sample config.plist ! Doesn't exist. It's "AppleRTC" in "KernelAndKextPatches" section. Does the false positive warning still there with : CloverConfigPlistValidator0.5

  30. No problem, I just quickly copied things from signature, just to have some content. You can delete the line. Basically, everyone manages his tab in this spreadsheet. If you add column, some formulas may have to be fixed, but I can do that. I was anyway thinking of adding a column for CPU generation (sandy bridge, Kaby Lake, etc.) just to have a quick overview of what hardware diversity we have. If the Clevo will come back very soon, you can keep it in the list and put N/A in result. If you deleted, you can put back the line anytime. The idea is to have a test "campaign" when we think we have a "Release candidate". For example, I'm currently solving a small thing about partition naming when there is more than one installation in the same container. No need for you to test that now. Let's say the next days I'm solving one or 2 other small things and then, nobody report anything. At this time, I'll ask for everyone to test the latest commit for regression. If there's none, we'll put a tag and have a new "version". If you find something, we fix and we'll go for another round. That's why I think it'll be less work also for you if we get organized. Sometime maybe you'll just have to test the RC commit and that's it. Knowing there sometimes few dozens of commits between versions, it'll save you time. There is also commits that we know are "intermediary" and doesn't work. Just a way of passing work between devs. These commits of course shouldn't be tested. So basically, I'll tell you here when we think we have a RC and when it's time for a round of tests.

As there aren't many changes, I'm quite sure that it will work as expected and attached only a release build which requires Mojave or above Have fun! Mieze IntelMausiEthernet-V2.5.3d1zip.zip

  32. Tips to make this work (never had issues with iMessage / FaceTime etc): - You should add your en0 MAC address, meaning your ethernet card's MAC address. if the Mac address is 18:c1:5f:33:0e:99 then using PlistEditPro the value of ROM should be 18C15F330E99 - Your MLB can be your serial + 5 letters, if for example the serial is C02J1MZCCJ3Q then MLB should be C02J1MZCCJ3QASDFG IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO CHANGE SERIAL / MLB / UUID THEN YOU NEED TO SIGN OUT OF ICLOUD BEFORE DOING THIS. I would recommend generally signing out of iCloud for any change related to PlatformInfo.

  36. @Jief_Machak - I left Clover as soon as OC started to come main stream so to speak, but I still look in from time to time. Man I gotta say you must be some kind of Super Human under all this bombardment. Don't get me wrong I greatly admire your tenacity attending to all the individual's problems they are having with Clover. Highly Commendable my friend, highly commendable.

  38. at the moment no idea sorry; the names I affix to BS are to make me 4 laughs with friends of macOS86it I'm more focused on making Clover 5125 work everywhere. Yesterday after having fixed several configs to be able to start all versions of MacOS on my AMD X570, I have to understand why during testing with the last commits of Clover, I suddenly disappeared the prebbot partition, so if I use the last Clover, I have no voice in the Clover GUI. Also I would like to try to upgrade BS beta9 to beta 10 using Clover as boot loader and not OC 063

  39. Try setting Misc->Security->BootProtect to None (likely is Bootstrap right now). Haven't seen this issue occur in H370 before though - usually just Z87/Z97 Edit: https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/1222 I think that's the relevant issue on the bugtracker.
