Sorry, my fault. I meant ATY_INIT.kex from April 19th.

With the latest Lion update OpenGL stopped working on my machine with GTX 570. Benchmarks and 3D apps don't work. QE/CI seems to work, I see those water ripples when starting widgets in Dashboard.
Maybe somebody could confirm this?

But do you have the native resolution ?

I have just 1024x800...

Yes, I have native resolution. Without proper OpenGL support it's not much of use for me though. Back to Snow Leopard for me.

Snow leopard = No GTX-570...

So :

I modifiy the NVDAGF100.kext ad ID : 1081 : OK
Use ATY_init.kext : OK

Do I need to modifiy the com.apple.boot.plist ?


And I just have a last question : When I go in About this mac > PCI Card I have this message : This computer do not contain any PCI Card... (Sorry for my bad translation from french...) This message is normal ?

About this PCI Card thing....
I can't check it on Lion at the moment, but it is saying the same here on 10.6.
Guess it's normal if you don't have PCI cards such as audio card or else installed.

Yes, but only on Snow Leopard. In BIOS I also make sure my 2nd card ist initialized at first which is a fully working ATI 5770. Otherwise I would get a kernel panic during boot.

When booting Lion I make sure the 1st card will be initialized first which is my GTX 570. All this works also without the ATI card, but as I said before no OpenGL support is a show stopper for me and means back to SL.

iReset made that version based on Andy's patches that were missing some code in pci.c/pci.h, maybe it's something related to that.

Try using this updated version

is this your first boot?

if not and hv SL put fake smc again and do chown chmod, otherwise latest chameleon v7 can also help.

Use the Extras folder on USB stick (the one you use for snow)
only starts to stick with chameleon installed on but WITHOUT DSDT.aml

Installation starts with:
-v -usecache arch=i386 -x32

Only then will start with -v to boot from USB stick but still, you need to key in a GUID 1 partition installed chameleon I used RC5 752.

The chameleon Rc5 752 works most better on me (clean lion installation + dual boot win 7)

I think that happens (mostly) to PCI device GPU Fermi (Nvidia GTX4/5xx) users. I would ask / discuss that also in the Fermi GPU thread here: Fermi GPUs

i had the same problem, solved using this fakesmc and Natit.kext. It's in that Archive.zip,I put them in the latest xpc bootloader /EFI/xpc/extera_kext and solved the problem may be it can help.

I fail too , but i am able to boot into the destop
see the line below "waiting for dsmos". maybe you should look for other symptom.
