1. I also got iMessage/Facetime working in yosemite, you gotta make sure the ethernet is set to en0, in addition to having a legitimate serial number, MLB, and ROM in config.plist of clover. the MLB should also be in the format of SERIAL NUMBER + 5 Alphanumeric characters. After that, I called Apple support an had them activate my iMessage account with the customer code given in the error message. Hope this helps anyone with iMessage/Facetime issues
2. I reinstalled Yosemite, and it appears that the touch screen is working, unlike my previous mavericks install. The touch screen works like a mouse pretty much and is good for clicking and mouse movement, however scrolling doesn't work, but thats likely a limitation of OS X itself
3. MAC_OSX_Intel_1.21.4107(64Bit).zip Could someone with an envy with the touch screen try this driver out? My envy is back on windows 8 haha
4. Update: Got iCloud/iMessage to work! Edited the config.plist extensively and now it seems to be working. After that I re-patched a vanilla mach_kernel again and restarted and seems to be working.

Core 2 Quad Q8200 Vs Core I5 2500K

I wouldn't go THAT far, but my Q6600 machine has most definitely stood the test of time! One of the best processors I've ever had
6. Thats good to know, I am about to do that today then, I am assuming you installed clover to the ~260MB EFI partition on the hard drive! I think i might have found a graphical bug, either with QE/CI or maybe just Mavericks itself .... look at the iTunes icon in the screenshot http://i.imgur.com/PunBM51.png Also shout out to Rehabman for his mach_kernel patch as well as this VoodooPS2 driver, I have three finger swipe multitouch working nice for me now, couldn't imagine that ever getting to work when I did my last laptop. If there is any additional testing that y'all want me to do just let me know, got a working installation over here. Update: Installed Clover to my hard drive, works fine now! Looked into it it looks like and I'm hoping that graphical glitch was with iTunes itself as a reinstall of iTunes fixed it. All I need now is to get my login to iCloud working
7. Has anyone here actually had an install of either chameleon or clover on the internal hard drive on an Envy j0xx yet or just off a USB like stated earlier in this thread?
8. http://www.tonymacx86.com/hdmi-audio/108302-haswell-hdmi-audio.html possible lead on HDMI audio?
9. http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html have you tried this for the ethernet? Also, I will try later to see if the bios has a whitelist or not for installing a different wlan card. I am on windows still on the 15-incher model of the 2013 envys but it should be able to tell if you are able to simply swap out the cards without modifying the bios Also, have you tried the latest DP for mavericks? ive read that it has better support for haswell onboard graphics such as the hd4600 This guy somehow got the HD4600 working QE/CI as an iris pro under mavericks, I would read his blog https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com/ http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/18-applehda-for-idt-92hd91bxx/ Try that above for the audio, the IDT audio in my 15-j053cl is IDT 92HD91BXX, and that is supposedly been tested in ML for it
10. Installed the GM on my desktop with Asus IPIBL-LA motherboard, and sleep never waked from sleep ever since Leopard. Installed ML, and it works now.
11. Just got this dual booted with the Windows 8 Beta, its working pretty sick, only thing is macdrive isn't yet compatible with Windows 8. Im going to wait to at least DP2 or 3 for Mountain Lion though.
12. In response to thephatp Wifi: Switch your wifi card to Dell Wireless 1510, the 1520 that comes with it doesn't work. The 1510 will work out of box. Audio: The kext works fine, have you updated to at least 10.7.2? What chameleon version are you at? Battery: Try other kexts from other sites, anything should work as long as it was meant for lion. Bluetooth: My 1558 doesn't have a bluetooth card, so i can't help you there, just try running Kext Utility after you install the kexts #####: Selecting ALL options in ##### is probably what is causing the KPs. Yeah, you can always update or downgrade your version of chameleon. I recommend an app called Chameleon Wizard to maintain your version of Chameleon to always be the latest.
13. 10.7.3 is safe to install via software update. Just put the AppleHDA.kext back in S/L/E after you installed it.
14. Wow, that is pretty good. When I am in a cold room it gets to about that temp. But definitely averages in the low to mid 60s.
15. I have patched AppleHDA and such to create a more tailor-made next for the 1558's IDT 92HD73C1 on Lion. The previous Kext I had was for snow leopard. For the HDMI audio to work as per the link i posted above, you will need to update your AppleHDA to this. Install it to S/L/E and delete IDT92HD73C1X5_R3.kext. 1558_AudioR2.zip Also, Richi_Roo, what are your temperatures now?
