archer75
Graphics update = new video card drivers? My 10.5.1 kalyway install, while stable for just about everything, my WoW crashes often and causes several kernel panics in a play session. So I think new graphics drivers are in order. KDCane
Well I followed Netkas instructions and it worked however I noticed: 1) When I click "About This Mac" it says I have a 4.3 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. 2) Instead of Hackintosh listed as model it now says Dell XPS 420. Everything seems to be working fine though. This is Kalyway 10.5.1 w/ MBR Oh, forgot to add that it says in "About This Mac" once you click "More Info", Under the Hardware header... There was an error gathering this information. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87040-1052/page/5/#findComment-618767 Share on other sites

BAF
I installed via software update before coming here. Got that ACPI CPU error. So i booted off the installer DVD and deleted the kext, and made the installscript edit. Let it try to boot for like 15 mins, then rebooted and it booted to a desktop. However, PS/2 doesn't work anymore. USB kb worked, can't find my USB mouse at the moment. Did it overwrite something required for PS/2? JaE-V
will refrain from install til first i find a guide for installing without the efi loader, lol i didnt realize so many people were using that now. secondly til i find out for sure that it will not break my video drivers for my 8800gts 640 if i install the graphics update Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87040-1052/page/5/#findComment-618864 Share on other sites
BAF
Presumably the graphics update is the non-beta 8000 series drivers. Any idea on PS/2 though? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87040-1052/page/5/#findComment-618866 Share on other sites
SuperNet33
cannot access InstallAtStartup folder !insufficient access privilege can u help me? thanks Hit Command ( Apple ) I , on the folder and then go to shareing and permission and go to everyone and change it to red and write Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87040-1052/page/5/#findComment-618871 Share on other sites
BAF
Hit Command ( Apple ) I , on the folder and then go to shareing and permission and go to everyone and change it to red and write That's a bad idea, changing security on a system folder. You're better off running your text editor under sudo to give it root access.
