Ok, some devs need the info of what kexts you are using with what hardware, please list the specs of your system and what hacked, if any, kexts you are using.

 

Please include mobo, vidcard, if using efi, sound card, and network cards.

Which KEXTS NEED TO BE ADDED/HACKED...

 

IONetworkingfamily - (For Timemachine to work)

NVInject - (For Nvidia 7900GS to work)

Skippy's ALC 888 Driver Kext - (For audio input/output to work with Realtek ALC888)

DSMOS.kext - (For system to boot)

Currently using PC_EFIv52 as of 11/26/07

Ok I'm using :

CPU E6300

MoBo Intel 965 LT

Graphic GF 7600 GT with Titan drivers (PC_EFI v.6 not recognized my graphic card, when I use boot_8600 QE, and CI working but mouse pointer is not visible and graphic card recogized as GF8600 )

Sound card onboard sigmatel HD (9227) with Taruga patch

Lan is PCI Realtek and working

System reboot fail. PC_EFI 6.0

Removed kexts

Additional kexts used

  • Natit.kext

Modified/Patched kexts

  • IONetworkingFamily.kext -- For time machine.
  • AppleSMBIOS.kext -- To correct readings in profiler.
  • AppleHDA.kext -- To get my sound working. I used AppleHDA patcher.

Currently using pc_efi v5.2. I'm not using v6 because it doesn't offer anything new; my GeForce 7600GS isn't working with it :(

As shown in SIG, also:

 

PC_EFI v6 gf7 - Did ressolve my Boot freezing problem, before system was seem to bee freezz for about 10s, right after "Got Boot Device ..." was displayed in single user ... (or 10s gray screen with logo only).

 

TOH kernel, stock one is working too, but i had restart issues.

 

AppleSMBIOS.kext - modded one from efi V3 package,

IONetworkingFamily.kext -modded,

AppleHDA.kext - modded,

Natit.kext.

 

BIOS OEM Info strings by DMICFG, PC is shown as iMac7,1 at the moment.

 

Everything else is working out of box.

Check sig for hardware

 

10.5.1 (used software update and just replaced kernel and ATI kext) EFI 5.2

 

Kernel is 9.1.0 TOH sleep

SMBIOS from TOH install DVD

ATIRadionX1000.kext -- edited for X1400 mobility (from 10.5)

AppleHD.kext for Sigmatel9200 HD

 

Everything but sleep and monitor Energy savings works fine (including time machine)

Inspiron 9300. Wireless works without edits (Dell truemobile) ethernet doesn't (Broadcom 440), even with tiger ionetworking.kext, Gfx (Nvidia 6800 Go) works with titan and adding ids to stock gfx kexts, sound (Sigmatel Stac97) works with appleac97audio.kext, using efi v. 4.

Using: Leopard ToH RC2, updated with apple's 10.5.1 update then replaced ToH mach_kernel.

pc_efi 5.2 booting from GRUB on a separate Hard Drive with Linux

mach_sleep kernel from #10.5 on IRC, Version 9.1.0: Sat Nov 17 02:56:34 SCT 2007; made by ToH:xnu-1228.0.2~1/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386

 

Motherboard: Intel D975XBX (Bad Axe 1)

Video: XFX GeForce 7800 GT

Sound: Onboard Sigmatel 9221

Network: Onboard Intel 82573E/82573L Gigabit Ethernet Controller

 

Removed kexts:

AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext (caused kernel crash on boot)

AppleEFIRuntime.kext (caused kernel crash when first installed, removed it, 10.5.1 update seems to have put it back, but no longer crashes)

 

Hacked/extra Kexts:

NVInject 0.1.4 (0.1.3 caused some problems with dual monitors)

AppleHDA and ALCInject from Patcher 1.16, 1.17 didn't work

AppleSMBIOS from the pc_efi 5.2 package

AppleIntel8254xEthernet from 10.4.9 to get Ethernet working, the Leopard version always showed "Cable not plugged in" and didn't work reliably

IONetworking fix for UUID/Error 35 problem

 

What works: Audio (2 channels, never tested mic in or 5.1 audio) works, QE/CI/Q2DX work, dual monitors work with NVInject 0.1.4, Ethernet works, sleep works.

 

What doesn't work: Turning off or resetting the machine doesn't fully complete, the kernel prints "CPU Halted" or "MACH Reboot" but never powers off or reboots, you need to use the power button

Dual boot Leopard on Toshiba p200-16c 17" laptop

 

vanilla kernel + userland.

efi_v5.2 + supplied AppleSMBIOS.kext

 

No audio ( havent tried yet).

 

Graphics: ATI Mobility HD2400 (vesa 1024x768 only) Have tried editing efi_v5.2 to load Iago with no success.
