  1. Well, odd thing happened. It didn't create the UUID I wanted it to create with "SystemId" string. I'm not too worried about that, it at least allowed me to login to Messages and fixed the original conflict. FTW. Thanks fellas -stell
  2. From my past experience I wasn't able to get Chameleon to properly utilize the SystemId string. Ill give it another shot tomorrow to verify. Thanks for the replies, guys -stell
  3. **FOR THOSE WHO'VE TRIED EVERYTHING TO LOGIN TO ICLOUD/MESSAGES AND CAN'T. USE THIS KEXT** http://cl.ly/3T2m2U2n332O ^ PlatformUUID.kext -------------------------------------- I tried every solution and combination to fix the issue. I could log into the Mac App Store and iTunes Store, however I couldn't login to iCloud or Messages account. I kept getting a message saying "This is an Apple ID but not a valid iCloud account." For some reason my Hardware UUID was causing a conflict and using the built-in UUID changer in Chameleon's boot.plist wasn't able to change my UUID either. This kext will force the UUID to change. Be sure to install it to S/L/E and not E/E. BEFORE: AFTER: Godspeed. PS - Thanks to Superhai for making this kext! -stell

    10.8.2 Final! (C54)

I had to remove OemSMBIOS kext in order to boot after 10.8.2 update. This kext is usually found in various compilations of HWSensor extensions. -Stell

    Anyone try this yet?

EVGA and I believe I flashed it with the Mac Pro's 8800GT bios some years ago. I have an XFX Alpha Dog Edition as well that I haven't tried yet. It may be possible to fix this issue by loading my EVGA's nvidia rom from Chameleon. I'll let you know when I extract the bios, etc. EDIT: Grab Nvidia 8800GT roms from the first post on this thread: http://www.insanelym...dpost&p=1053726 It's the mediafire link. Try to load either one of those roms using Chameleon, and remember to use stock kexts.

Hold the phone. My 8800GT works in 10.8 flawlessly. OP, which brand 8800GT do you own? -Stell

    HALF Geekbench score?

Double check or even play around with C-States and P-States. I'm assuming you're running Chameleon?

Have you tried setting Graphics Enabler to "No" as opposed to just trying onboard video?
  12. It's kind of hard to find an X58 board that doesn't work well.

    Diablo III

It does run better under Windows, obviously. If you plan on playing on a Hackintosh be sure to get a sick video card if you like playing on High detail.

    CMOS Resets by AppleRTC.kext

I'll need to check this out, but I believe rayap's edit allows for auto sleep and the original from Riley Freeman's post does not. -Stell EDIT: Auto-sleep works before patching AppleRTC in 10.8 DP1. However CMOS reset still occurs without patching. I'd like to see a KEXT that can override this edit altogether, but I'll save that for smarter men.
