I just bought a new computer and it's not ready yet to run OSX so I have been using Vista (YUK!!!) for the past week and I have been using uTorrent. I forgot how much I loved that program and thought I will miss it once again when I go back to OSX so this is great news.

If this had happened sooner I might have been happier, but since the last few SVN versions of Transmission added Selective Downloading support, its not such a big deal for me and Azureus was ditched also.

I'm interested to see if the reported download speeds are as fast as some people indicate compared to the other clients.

Edit: Added bold type since people still don't know as evidenced by next few posts!

Heh. HTTP = standard Internet downloads. Like direct download from a web site.

Anybody got a link (or vague, unclear reference I could puzzle out) to where we might be able to get a hold of the beta? I heard they were talking about it on the pink palace, but the thread/post got deleted.

Hallelujah. The only decent torrent clients currently on OS X are Azureus (so slow and hoggish that I can't stand it), BitRocket (which has been out of development for two years), and Transmission (which, now that it supports selective downloading, may actually be worth something). On Windows, I love uTorrent. For a while, I was tempted to go back just for uTorrent and Alcohol 120%.
