iwi2100 rev 342

iwi3945 rev 343

please post logs or picture (kernel panic)

This version kernel panics as soon as I hit "Apply" in the network screen when it detects a new card. i'd provide logs but I don't know how... At least its quite easy to remove a kext while in single user mode :thumbsup_anim:

If you could point me in the right direction, I'd love to help.

iwi 3945 rev 348

here are the logs

tks ^_^

-x-

another thing,

en1: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500

ether 00:18:de:10:9f:56

media: autoselect status: inactive

supported media: none autoselect DS1 DS2 DS5 DS11 autoselect <unknown type

the interface always appears as inactive and I can't active it with ifconfig.

i'll wait for the logs ^_^

en1: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500

this are normal flags for a "up" interface

they should only be set when associating is "true"

i'll fix this

don't try to use ifconfig to setup the interface - this is the driver job

iwi3945 rev 350

these logs are comming slow :) - just kidding

i hope this release don't panic

xhemp,

can you check if you mac os x is ok? - you're the only one who still gets kernel panics

i'll go back and use rev 348 - if it worked for you. i need to understand where it fails

iwi3945 rev 350 osx10.4.7 (kernel 8.4.1)

I don't mean to make this thread even longer but I got all nervous after I read jalavoui's post on the slowness of logs and I forgot to thank him and others for a great job! In my humble and limited knowledge of driver coding, I think you got us really close jalavoui. Thanks!
