Fresh Install

Jas 10.4.8 Amd Intel SSe2 SSe3 (beta2) - 8.8.1 (final release gives me video troubles)

iwi3945_rev 353 gives me ACTIVE intel on en0 and en1 - I was on a rush, but I couldn't create log

No network though.

(probably typo, was really in a hurry. I cant do it right now. Waiting for next rev or log request. A widget got me scared once, but no scanning was achieved)

:):):star_smile::star_smile:

Jas and Jalavoui certainly are names that will go down in history books. Apple would gain strenght having you guys aboard...

"Dude, I've just jalavouied my wireless card !! It ROCKS !!"

"Was that before or after you JaSed your OS ?"

:censored2:

eye eye captain. i will go over some of the code, huntin for bugs tonight. i will slowly start helping out again here. still seems like there are formware loading errors... only one person had a log with 353 that did not have any firmware loading errors. anyways, i might be wrong as i only gave it a quick glance, nevertheless i will be online tonight and will go over the code. good work so far jalavoui, and thanks to everyone else for contributing their logs.

patatester,

can you check iwi3945 code?

small changes are all it takes to make it work

iwi3945 rev 354

more hacking...

patatester,

you should try old code for start() - i changed due to kernel panic. if you can use it back you might make the driver work ;)

also check ipw_up()

there's also a issue with radio on/off. i don't know why it keeps turning off

for those with xcode:

if you're connected to internet you can check the differences in xcode on a fille with this

just press the info on a fille and selecte the svn tab and press the "compare" button

iwi2100 rev 355

last rev is giving kernel panic - this one should be the same

boot with -s and post the picture if so

Hi,

My logs for rev 354. No panic, no led, no device.

Also zipped a very basic shell script to get all logs from one command.

You can place it in your home directory (where Terminal opens), execute it then look for the files there.

If anybody enhances it please post it.

Bye.

system.txt

dmesg.txt

just wondering, is it supposed to say "3945" under the "Supported Hardware"?

EDIT: also wanna ask, Network Selector? the guide said to use it to configure the card and that it'd be included in the DMG...

EDIT2: forget that last part...read that Network Selector doesnt work with 3945...sorry, i'll make a log in a bit, thanks for all the hard works...

Oh no :( Now I take a look to your script and I feel so dumb!

Kick ass!

What's about Intel Pro/Wireless 3945abg in Leopard ? Have you tried da beta version ? ... because I can see that this problem would stay there until intel'd develop new release. Maybe this problem has been killed with the new Osx 10.5...

What d you think ... I've just signed in but I m looking for this problem for month ago ...
