Hi Jalavoui and all. Congrats on the great work. I am happy I can now use my built-in wireless card.

My problem is: Now my "built-in ethernet" port no longer works. I worked perfectly immediately after install.

Is there a way to "reinstall the driver"? I have a strong feeling that deleting the port in System Preferences/Network will not make OSX reinstall the driver.

What to do? I have spent the good part of last week on there forums but I am quite a novice to OSX.

Any suggestions?

P.S. I think I saw something during boot that a network driver (don't remember which one) but it's v1.2.0 will not load as it was already loaded. This scrolls fast - how can I bring up this log so I can send more info?

Thanks a lot!

Is it possible that ever since running Network Selector I cannot access my Netgear PCMCIA WLAN card anymore?
sorry guys, the culprit was Apple's most recent Airport Extreme Update which overwrote the old IO80211Family.kext. Reverted to my backupped IO80211Family.kext and everything is fine again in 10.4.9 with Semthex nd_23 kernel (8.8.1) :)

Still, would somebody please try and answer this remaining question of mine :) ?

this can be because of incompatible hardware,

conflicts on id/vendor in the info.plist file,

or you're using the wrong iwi driver for your card

this logs messages mean that the iwi driver can't load - i don't know how to fix this

i'll try something else for iwi3945

please wait...

ok here it goes

iwi3945 rev 371

anyone on-line to post logs?

Casamac,

My setup is:

Dell Latitde 120L - Celeron M 1.6 - GMA 900 - 512mb ram 533bus

Intel Pro 2200 b/g mini-pci wireless card

MAC OS X 10.4.9

Kernel: localhost:~ glauberlobo$ uname -a

Darwin localhost 8.9.1 Darwin Kernel Version 8.9.1: Thu Apr 1 20:55:00 PST 2007; netkas,semthex,oui:O.o/back to USSR_I386 i386 i386

And now, iwi2200 dowloading without the memory leak.

No more os x freeze !!!!

and again, thks Javaloui.

i think ...

next step after iwi2100 and iwi3945 running ok is iwi2200 wep/wpa access ? .... it is ?

i get the same error as u osxonmylaptop which is:

iwi3945: disable 0 led 1 mode 0

iwi3945: darwin_iwi3945 map is zero

iwi3945: todo: Freeing

Jalavoui,

If you dont know how to fix this, we are lost...

Here are my logs for 371...generated by my original script (wasn´t that bad anyway)

Your script gives me error, see getlog.rtf.

You are my only hope to get wifi on OS X, let the force be with you.

PS: I Uninstalled Parallels just in case of conflict.
