Use simple loader. It works.

I didn't do a clean install.

I don't use WEG for updates (Ventura, Sequoia, Tahoe). No black screen.

Same EFI folder on all three systems.

all sorted my Z97 just needed WEG set to false to install from my test EFi on a usb stick to third reboot then all sorted

my HP 280g2 SFF was a bit more involved MacPr07,1 smbios with WEG set to false until the welcome screen with test usb

then back to my IMacPro1,1 to log into Tahoe then turn FileVault off back to normal booting

To all and @eSaF @strangeron in particular:

 

• Boot installed Beta 6 on my Z390 machine (SMBIOS iMac20,1 + Opencore)  from USB with Lilu debug + WEG enable : No "Kextlog: Collection UUID matches with loaded KCs" issue. But stuck after entering password session like previous Beta.  I wait 20-25 minutes, no desktop !

I'll try the Migration Assistant again.

I'll first do the full installation, and then, once logged in as the user, I'll run the Migration Assistant. (with source Time Machine).

@miliuco can do it, so I can, or my name isn't miliuco!  👨‍🔧 😂

I don't use Mykextinstaller... I only use OCLP-Mod, and I've got no issues with sound in Beta 5. Except for the language issue, is there another reason why you're not using it?

I follow Reddit and have seen more than one comment that Launchpad RIP.

There should be some steps on this thread as well. That's why I suggested then to move that post outside to its dedicated topic. Not sure if it was done or not... But yeah, if you get locked out already, that is probably the only way to get back in. I only had to do it once, from the OS itself, after it started encrypting by itself, but after I disabled it this way, i had no issues with future updates. No more attempts to encrypt the disk without my knowledge after that.

Next time, I will disable WEG on my Z390 machine. I don't know if WEG is necessary for RX580 graphics card !!!!

I used several EFI packages: Package 1, full system, Package 2, removed WEG, Package 2, didn't add
BlueToolFixup, IntelBluetoothFirmware, IntelBTPatcher, WhateverGreen
. config.plist set 2, delete unnecessary ones. Set 1 is not deleted, it is still full system.

Separate 1GB EFI partition for booting instead of 200MB system because it requires quite a lot of space.

@eSaF It's same issue as Beta 4 update. I check FileVault via Recovery mode: it's not activate, not encrypt.

 

Despite entering right password: I can't open the session.

More than one hour after entering password and stuck on Login user screen : Beta 5 show up the windows  "Update is terminated". Others windows appears: Connexion Type, Analyze, and so on.

 

Why is so long, that's the question. Anybody knows why ? Please let me know.

By the smaller size and simplicity. I use SimpleLoder by cause of this. Plus, not only in Chinese. The same for MKI.

The mouse wheel doesn't work; you have to hold it down while left-clicking to scroll.
It doesn't allow you to organize apps.
