@Anto65 or  others,

I am not able to complete boot in spite of mapping the usb and generating the ssdtuiac.aml using hackintool. direct upgrade from sequoia  completed and can reach login screen but locked due to file vault.

Attached is my efi folder and aslo my own generated ssdtuiac.aml and the photo of where it hangs. have removed bluetooth and wifi kexts to keep folder size small.

Could you please take a look and map my usb ports if possible.

hi, thanks

already tried that, just wanted afresh install as after reaching the login now i can reach login but cant enter as usb not available and using a usb mouse leads to a crash. if you could just look at the ports folder and suggest the ssdt, would be a great help.

thanks

After getting the USBMap.kext fixed I get past the 509 error in the installer but it stops at the point in the picture below, anyone come across that and fixed it yet please?

Have you disabled SIP in your .plist?

Inside EFI https://limewire.com/d/4MYGy#JDCjxLtL1Z

there are 2 images with the errors found, 2 kexts was enabled but not present in OC->kEXTS
OC was not the latest build available , take from here  https://dortania.github.io/builds/?product=OpenCorePkg&viewall=true&version=1.0.5    build and kexts ( now alredy all updated )
Disabled the SSDT-UIAC edited for Tahoe and enabled your USBPorts kext
Good Luck

Can you share your EFI for @eSaF He has the Z490 and trying to get his installed.

After playing around with Tahoe:
z690, no problem with MacPro7,1.

h370, work to do for iMac19,1/20,1: Polaris doesn't work with headless IGPU. You have to have IGPU enabled with display connected to run another display on Polaris. I have patched Polaris like OCLP does, but is not Polaris kexts issue.

Maybe you will find something useful. And try to disable IGPU in BIOS, for me it was progress, installation went further.

Hey! Thank you for the EFI.

So...after fiddling a lot with the iGPU, -wegnoegpu flag, pulling out the power cord on the RX 580, pulling the card out entirely (doesn't seem to be necessary if you pulled out the power cord) then putting it back all together, I managed to get to a point where I'm booted from the RX580, into the Language Chooser screen, but after selecting it, it keeps looping back to that.

At some point, when booting only with the iGPU, I got to the setup screen, chose the launguage, but after the Privacy screen, it was going to a black screen, then reboot. I tried clearing NVRAM, then it would go into a white screen, no setup, and stop there. Then with the RX580 powered up but not connected to it, it was going to a black screen with cursor.

And removing -wegnoegpu flag, setting BIOS back to PEG - dedicated graphics (previously set to IGD - integrated graphics) now gets me to the language chooser, but loops back after selecting a language.

So that's about as far as I got.

A lot of back and forth to get to this point.

Anyway, first thing is making sure you can actually boot with the iGPU. I was able to boot, but since I had no drivers installed (I use OCLP for that), my memory was 31 MB and choppy animations. After installing OCLP and adding root patches (in Sequoia of course), VRAM went to the normal 1538 MB (or something like that) and more or less fluid animations.

So, the trick here is getting as much of the setup as possible on the iGPU, then switching to the dGPU. In my case, I can't really say it made a huge difference, I still couldn't finish the installation, but I did get further this way.

Update: now I get boot to black screen in Sequoia. :)))
Update2: one clear nvram later and I'm back on track with Sequoia, as well.

I think so unless Tahoe needs something different?

"ApplePS2Controller: Timed out on input stream" can relate to misconfigured USB.

Too many errors there :)

What I would do is: reformat usb and recreate the installer, set SIP to 00000000(you can change it back later)

"AbortCommands: :5382:Port 1 - called, deviceWithError 0, errCode = 0xe0030005" - connected usb is causing the panic.

I would double check Usb.kext. Actually I would disable all ports but ones on the back for Usb and mouse/keyboard.

I will try now thanks, that is a freshly created USB installer (It gives the same error as previous one).

From Dortania, is that a typo or did you want me to try with it enabled?

  • 00000000 - SIP completely enabled (0x0).

Yeah, typo. 03080000

We continue investigating the use of the USBMap.kext and SSDT SSDT-UIAC.aml kexts in Sequoia and Tahoe, but in Sequoia, although the logical SSxx ports appear, on my new computers: the USB 1t 3.0 does not mount as SS at the correct speed of 5g/s. Also, the icon is of a hard drive, not an orange USB. This did not happen with USBInjectAll.kext. It only happens if I put it in a USB3.0 port, in the USB2.0 ports it appears orange.

Look at my NEW computer, but I think it's the OLD one: it also happens to me, although the USB3.0 SSxx ports are available but are not mounted correctly. I will continue investigating.
