deeveedee
Thanks, @miliuco . While good to know about XCode flaws in Sonoma (the reason I won't upgrade my HackMini8,1 to Sonoma until Ventura no longer runs the latest XCode), I'm more interested in being able to run Monterey on my HackBookPro6,2 while accessing the latest XCode via Apple's Cloud. I'd love to know if anyone has used Apple's Cloud-based XCode and would like your opinions. EDIT: I'm interested in using Cloud-based XCode in Monterey because Monterey runs great on my HackBookPro6,2, Monterey still gets Apple updates and Monterey doe NOT require OCLP Wi-Fi root patches. EDIT2: This post explains that the cloud-based XCode is very limited and not a direct replacement for XCode in macOS. deeveedee
I don't want to clutter this thread with OCLP security concerns; however, I think this post (which includes a link to comments from one of the principal Devs) is very relevant to this Sonoma Wireless discussion. BTW: I have received a lot of "hate mail" for challenging the OCLP Devs and raising security concerns. I don't care about the "hate mail," don't care what others think and I continue to remain focused on creating OCLP Security Awareness. Now that principal Devs have validated and admitted to my security concerns, I no longer feel pressure to prove my claims. But I will warn you that if you want to win any popularity contests, you care what others think and the "likes" matter to your self esteem, do not "like" any of my posts in MacRumors and do not create any MacRumors posts that agree with me. amirali mahmoudi
Hey Guys, I have both wifi and BT working on Sonoma, handoff and Airdrop work one way, Handoff sees Iphone, and Airdrop only Iphone to Mac, is there any way that I can make it both ways? 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/357087-macos-sonoma-wireless-issues-discussion/page/29/#findComment-2812483 Share on other sites
XanthraX
Can somebody indicate me a PCe adapter for AX211NGW? Or AX210 gives the same results. Is the adapter used for BRCM360 good for AX210? deeveedee
AirportBrcmFixup.kext 2.1.8 now includes Sonoma 14.x constants. Looks like we won't be needing any "Beta" boot args to use the next AirportBrcmFixup.kext with Sonoma (for those who still use Brcm Wi-Fi with Sonoma). 3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/357087-macos-sonoma-wireless-issues-discussion/page/29/#findComment-2812528 Share on other sites

Hi I think you not will find adapter for usb Pcie devices, is because this system required CNVio2 socket. Maybe you can use only with desktop. Look on AliExpress for "AX211 WiFi 6E CNVi Band 2.4 | 5 | & 6GHz " I have one of this on my MOBO Aorus Z790 Elite AX and use another card intel for my Laptop Lenovo. AX210 have another system, compatible with NGFF M.2 and USB conectors. 3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/357087-macos-sonoma-wireless-issues-discussion/page/29/#findComment-2812543 Share on other sites
Matgen84
Thanks @Max.1974 According to Intel, the AX210 and AX211 have the same specifications. Except that AX210=CNIvo2 and AX211=PCIe+USB. I remember looking at some of your posts when developing my Dell Latitude E6410 solutions. If I didn't say 'thank you' then, Thank you! I'm surprised that AirportBrcmFixup.kext causes a problem. Is it possible that you just need to remove the plugin? If not, have you figured out why AirportBrcmFixup.kext (without plugins) interferes with DW1830? EDIT: I'm definitely in agreement that if the kext isn't necessary, don't inject it. I'm just curious. Thanks. Jake Lo
I'v updated to the latest OCLP 1.1.0 and was able to enable airportBrcmFixup.kext but need to bootarg amfi=0x80 Otherwise DW1830 is not detected. I'm not sure if others have the same experience. Without AirportBrcmFixup.kext, system information will display the wireless as 3rd party wireless device or something along that line. Thanks @Jake Lo for sharing this finding, esp. wrt. DW1830 which I am still struggling on only one-way Handoff at Monterey. DW1830 works w/o kext(*3) injection up to 12.7.1 (I can confirm), as @deeveedee mentioned as well. Now if you say DW1830 works for you, esp. w. AirportBrcmFixup.kext thus NOT marked as "Third Party Wireless Card"(which I can confirm at Monterey 12.7.1 as well), do you mean: BT module works as well? as BCM920703 or BCM2045A0? Handoff (Airdrop, clipboard, etc.) works as well or only Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz); In System Report > Network > Wi-Fi > en1: Card Type now indicate correct vendor/device-id as DW1830? Also maybe double check w. IOReg.'s WiFi detection under ... AirPort_BrcmNIC > IOvendor as "Unknown" I am asking these is to understand and doubt on macOS may have implemented this integrity check(which AMFI does) already since later Monterery and thus hinder the 2-way Handoff? PS: as checking your repo@osxlatitude < @deeveedee , you didn't mention Handoff functionality with DW1830 or DW1560? In the meantime I bought Tp-Link mini travel router so I can access internet via ethernet > WiFi if need be Is getting previously native Broadcom WiFi still working as of today and/on 14.4.1?
