updated OC and Lilu, stuck in a boot loop, can still get into Beta 2 though

Did you download the update and try to boot it BEFORE updating OC and Lilu, and are you booting the already existing update volume? If so, download the update again.

@miliuco,

do you happen to have an propertree that works in macOS Ventura?

I tried build one but it did't work although I build it with python 3.9.13 as you suggested...

Thanks

@ricoc90 answered the first 🙂

I was able to build ProperTree with Python 3.9.13 but Intel not Universal version, I don't know why.

CLOVERX64.efi.zip 743.75 kB · 42 downloads

Thanks to Marvin Häuser who has an access to Apple's sources.

Thank you for your development.

I also tried ACPI and KEXT on OpenCore and it worked.

I configured it with them, but in the middle of booting, it seems to be a memory panic and resets.

Report logs etc.

Do you mind performance down when setting Henbury framebuffer in MP7,1? No, it's the same for now and, without Henbury, Ventura doesn't boot.

Is it possible that I hit existing serial number or is this some bug?

Check the coverage and see if it comes up as a genuine serial number which you should avoid, if it does you'll need to generate new SmUUID as well as new S/N.

Welcome to the waiting club, this time I'm in my corner waiting for a solution to our collective problem named macOS Ventura... LOL

But I think the wait ended, the success story of @antuneddu, and others gives me hope...

Long time no see @Alex HQuest, I hope you are well and kicking, LOL

👋 Hello there. Been super busy with work, but yeah, alive and kicking. Hope all is well for you (and everybody else) too.

Pre-Requisites:  disable SecurebootModel for Installation. Otherwise the installer crashes

Not sure if this made much difference, but (more below)...

... perhaps combined with the above, I'm back to the club!

I just did that. Amazingly it's a genuine serial number. I hit "Generate" at least 20-30 times. What are the odds?? :)

Creating a fresh new SMBIOS now.

It didn't work after OC/Lilu update, until I redownloaded Beta 3.

Smooth update but now I get this... Is it possible that I hit existing serial number or is this some bug?

Yes, it's possible that Clover Configurator or whatever SMBIOS generator you use can accidentally generate a valid Serial Number. I would replace it immediately as this may result in your Apple ID being banned.

Luckily I waited a day and avoided the macOS installer entry until OC and Lilu were updated to handle Beta3 (after reading all the boot loop stories on Insanelymac).

Updating to OC 0.8.3_30acb571 and Lilu-1.6.2_2ff83c6 allowed a pain free delta upgrade from Ventura Beta2 to Beta3 on my Skylake NUC...

Thanks to all the OC developers and testers 😀.
