The "DummyPowerManagement" location has been moved from Kernel/Quirks to Kernel/Emulate.

Check your config. Most likely it is reported twice in your config.

PS: You can also use Filemerge.app ( Part of XCode ) to compare two config.plist side by side.

Just type "filemerge" in your spotlight search and it will open automatically.

Thanks.

I am in the process of moving my Dell i7-5559 to OC. I've finally got it working well. But, I have a bunch of SSDTs that I do not know if I need. How can I figured out which of them are needed? I got to this point by removing one kext at a time. Is that what I need to do for the SSDTs? Some of them I know are important.

Important/Needed:

SSDT-PNLF.aml
SSDT-PLUG.aml

SSDT-EC-USBX.aml

Questions:

SSDT-XOSI.aml <- I have Voodoo2C, Voodoo2CHID, and VoodooPS2Controller kexts. Don’t these fix this?

—I created my own SSDT-GPIO

SSDT-NoHybGFX-AMD.aml <- doesn’t wegnoegpu take care of this?

—Deleted. Still works fine.

SSDT-GPRW.aml <- Still need for sleep?

—I think I need this. Saw error in boot logs.

SSDT-ALC255.aml <- Have no idea. Some sound issue?

Deleted. Still works fine.

Ive noticed recently on my laptop if I boot with OC I get the error in the picture but if I use bios to select to windows that device is fine.
Using latest master 0.6.0
I’ll upload config or anything else that may be needed if needed.
Please help, this affects windows performance substantially.

it’s a really old post, but I noticed a similar problem too with OC on my ThinkPad T440 (OC 0.6.2).

I used itlwm for my Intel AC-7260, and it’s worked on macOS, but after booting to Windows it wasn’t working anymore (Error 10: Operation Failed).

First I thought it’s a bug with itlwm but after some testing it’s been clarified that it isn’t a bug with itlwm but with OpenCore. Interesting thing that it wasn’t working even after CMOS reset, but after moving the system to Clover it started working again. After moving back to OC again, it wasn’t working anymore.

how to debug?

Every release has a "DEBUG" package: https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/releases/tag/0.6.2

where is the location of this securebootmodel?

Both questions are answered in the docs: https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/blob/0.6.2/Docs/Configuration.pdf

12.4 Debugging, 8.5 Secuirty Property (14. SecureBootModel)

Both PDF and config.plist can be full-text searched (CTRL+F), please make use of it.

Debugging is no longer necessary, replace the value and it will boot.

I get the following in my system log. Haven't any issue with my computer working but wanted to ask the question as to why I might be getting these. I have no clue what they mean.

(IONVMeFamily) <IONVMeFamily`IONVMeDebugAssert> AppleNVMe Assert failed: ( 0 != data )
(Lilu) Lilu   patcher: @ failed to solve __ZN31AppleIntelFramebufferController17IsTypeCOnlySystemEv, err 2
(Lilu) WhateverGreen      igfx: @ failed to route IsTypeCOnlySystem

Hello OpenCore developers

First of all thank you for the serious work you do in growing your bootloader

I wanted to ask you if it was possible in opencore to limit the number of cores / threads as the Instruments function of Xcode allows as attached image, perhaps using a bootarg?

cpus=32 thanks @gengik84 to help me for this..

thank you

Hi @PC IT Post your issue in Hackintool topic or directly Hackintool GitHub repo issues section.

@Download-Fritz @vit9696

I can't build latest commit 5ea8757. No problem with commit 68dbdcd

Please, what is the solution.

@Matgen84 To be honest, I'm clueless how this can happen - did you accidentially commit to the AUDK subrepo? Please upload the output of

git log > log.txt

from within the AUDK directory.

The issue should be gone if you clone fresh from the OC repo.
