Hi @iCanaro Could share your EFI folder (in MP, if you want). Please.

Thanks in advance.

Here we go, socket 775 with nvidia kepler GPU still working here, it seems that not so much has changed under the hood, but i still having problems with HID devices like in Big Sur.

Also by installing the driver in /Library/Extensions the kXAudioDriver still works and so my SB audigy works too.

Thanks and can you share your config.plist for Monterey because my Asus P5Q PRO with GT 730 were quite similar to your hardware.

Up to now it can boot to 11.5 beta 2 without any issue, but 12 beta it can show desktop only (unable to load Finder properly).

I have a Dell E6530 with Big Sur... it has HD4000 gfx

Exactly how am I supposed to install Monterey?

Do I patch the existing EFI folder?

Make a patched folder and transfer kexts?

OR???

I can make a Monterey USB install drive...

Is that what is patched?

I guess your Dell won't be much different from my Lenovo...

To start the first time, I made an installation medium, and I changed the switch to Macbook Pro 11.5 and Monterey was installed, but without graphic acceleration, the bluetooth (broadcom) did not work I had to remove the drivers that I used in big sur to be able to install the system ... and the other kext that I used in / EFI / OC / Kext I had to update them and the rest was adjusting, until the end I achieved graphic acceleration with OpenCore Legacy Patcher..

These are the kext I am using in Monterey:

UAyEcbY.png

HibernationFixup.kext I have disabled it in config.plist ... and it works without that kext

I'm also not sure if I need more kext 😆 ... from what I have tried, the laptop works everything

Reagards

These (7) are the only kexts & bundles that are being patch/replace?

I think so, for the HD4000 they are those kext

Using a Manual Address works in Big Sur but not in Monterey unfortunately either. If it is working for you in Monterey, can I please see your config.plist for comparison? Clean all the SMBIOS Info data.

The only issue I have with this first beta is a stall before login if auto login is OFF. After verbose mode the Apple logo appears and stalls for around 30 seconds (have not timed it) but if I have auto login turned ON it boots super fast.

Thanks for sharing. I had a llok at it. And I have no idea why Ethernet is working for you at all.

You are using a setup for ethernet which was used for catalina but is no longer required.

Yoiu are also using deviceid 0x15f28086 which you then rename with the Kernel Patch to 0x15F30000 which was the intended way for Catalina. This is no longer required since on Big Sur supports this controller natively. But on top of that you are also using FakePCIID and Fake_PCIID 225.kext which does the same thing (renaming 0x15f28086 to 0x15F30000) which is no longer necessary since the kernel Patch handles that for Catalina.

IntelMausi is not even needed for this Board anyway. This is only required for the Vision D Board. This EFI  looks like it was taken from a vsion D.

What is this for: HS80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IO80211NetBooter.kext

and this: HS80211Family.kext

Wifi?

Your Fake_PCIID 225 kext is the first in the order of Kexts but Lilu, VirtualSMC should be first due to dependencies of other kext. All in all I am actually astounded that it even boots…

Same issue here on my AMD system. If I remove my USB Webcam however there's no stall.

Mines a laptop with built in webcam, so it appears to be USB related. My AMD rig is waiting on patches to test it and that doesn’t have a webcam at all so will be interesting.

Hi! I installed Monterey on Probook 4540s (full working Big Sur), used OpenCore Legacy Patcher but on reboot I always have boot in recovery loop. Maybe I mis something. What I should do/check? Thank you!

Try adding the following into your boot-args: -lilubetaall -wegbeta -no_compat_check amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1

Gmyle BT Broadcom 20702A0 USB  working in BS not working in Monterery.  i added BTFixup, BRCMBTInjector, BRCMFirmwarerepo and BRCMPatchRAM3 kexts to /L/E.

Any ideas on how to get this dongle to work natively ?

Make sure do not use BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext on macOS 12

If you want to install kexts in S/L/E or L/E then install these 3 kexts (BlueToolFixup.kext BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext BrcmPatchRAM3.kext)

If you inject kexts with OpenCore or Clover then use (BlueToolFixup.kext  BrcmFirmwareData.kext BrcmPatchRAM3.kext)

Removed BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext.  Still not working.  Also BlueToolFixup.kext is not loading;  BrcmFirmwareRepo and BrcmPatchRAM3 kexts are loaded.

EFI boot is on a memory card. I have Catalina and Monterey installed. Right now I need two different cards to start each system. Mainly because of the HS80211family.kext & AirPortAtheros40.kext (TP-Link TL-WDN480) which in the Monterey EFI I inserted the line "com.apple.iokit.IO80211FamilyLegacy". It boots but does not load temporarily. On Catalina Ethernet conflicts with wifi and I preferred to leave it disabled. The only difference between the two cards is the line inserted in AirPortAtheros40-1.kext and the arguments in nvram.

I'm going to change the order of the kext.

Thanks

No, those would most likely have already been setup and they will not prevent this lack of graphics initialisation/boot to desktop.

The issue is the Windows server problem when auto-login is not enabled. This is the 1st and quick thing to do after initial installation and 1st boot setup before any reboot is made and until OCLP 0.1.7 is applied. Failing that this is what happens. 'been there myself. The alternative is to make a separate installation of a pre-Monterey macOS version (Big Sur, Catalina or whatever), set that up with auto-login and upgrade that particular build to Monterey.

In my particular case (Ivy Bridge/HD4000 Dell Latitude E6230), I found the build to be unstable and unreliable: runs very hot, CPU mostly at Turbo speeds, could only install with OC and boot patched system with Clover (!), sudden crashes out of the blue and KP on restart (apparently on IOPCIFamily kext).

My conclusion is that this will need a lot more work and subsequent more developed/stable versions of Monterey to be useable/run properly.

Thank you for tip. For me doesn't work. After Big Sur install, disable auto login, upgrade to Monterey and patching, I select Monterey in picker, start to boot 1 sec and after reboot directly in recovery without seeing picker anymore.

Actually try adding the mousse kext if you haven't already, if it boots big sur i think it's reasonable to assume you just need this kext for the additional emulated cpu instructions.

Thanks and I have solved it by myself.

It can boot by OpenCore 0.6.8 or Clover 5136 now.

Just one issue bothered me: Firefox 89.0.1 is not working smoothly as at Big Sur which frequently unexpected quit during operation.

No such an issue with Safari or Google Chrome.

[Edit]

Both Firefox and Hackintool opened and immediately quit at Monterey beta1 in my LGA 775 mackintosh (Asus P5Q PRO).

Hope they can be fixed at beta2 ASAP !

[Edit2]

After tuning my config.plist both Firefox & Hackintool work normally now if booted with OpenCore 0.6.8.

[Edit3]

But Hackintool still opened and quit immediately if booted by Clover 5136 and Problem Report for Hackintool was attached here:

Problem Report for Hackintool.rtf

[Edit4]

In Clover 5136 I need use old DSDT-EHC1.aml instead of new DSDT-EH01.aml to fix Hackintool immediate quit issue.

Now both Firefox and Hackintool work normally after booted with Clover 5136 or Opencore 0.6.8.

Happy to say I finally got Monterey going on my GA-Z170N-WIFI (Skylake) RX550 build! Biggest issue I faced was mainly using the USBMap kext. My USB devices and ports simply wouldn't respond with that enabled so I had to revert back to USBInjectAll and enable XHCIPortlimit. Also used a SSDT-GPU-Spoof for the RX550 as it wasn't natively enabled.

What solved it?

Nothing special.

Just double check my config.plist & related kexts for Clover 5136 and OpenCore 0.6.8

Need boot-argument: -lilubetaall -wegbeta -no_compat_check  amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1 and newest Lilu, AppleALC, & Whatevergreen
