Is there any issue in using a mobile platform id on desktop? I'm trying right now and seems to work just fine on 10.15.4.

I’ ve been trying to use the mobile platform id for my second hack’s 8350K but although the iGPU is recognized, no port works. I have tried every possible connector combination following the Framebuffer connector patching guide and it is futile. Could be doing something wrong or could be incompatibility issue with the different device id of 8350K UHD 630.

Just tried it myself on asus Z370M PLUS II with i5 8400. The update went flawlessly, everything works and, finally, MacOS is as fast as windows 10. Before I have a little lag when opening every application, also with "About this mac". As in the image, i just changed 07009B3E to 00009B3E.

I’ve tried all these combinations, mate. Nothing worked. I don’t know if it’s due to this particular board (B360N WiFi) or the 8350K which is a different UHD 630 device id (like 8100)

framebuffer-patch-enable senselessly because you have no patches. Delete it.

Hi,

Don't give up. I had the same problem, after all I could solve it. You have to use 3E9B0000 ig platform id and make proper frame buffer connectors patch. See last post. https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/938

Can i just ask, i have a Haswell X99 rig, want to install Catalina from fresh. What are the clover patches to use

I have an i5 4460 Haswell rig which is way different from your rig, you have a Haswell-E processor and I suppose it's a Xeon family.

But I guess you can find your answer here:
