I'm sorry, which black screen?  If you mean at login then I didn't have the issue.  Also, I've just booted with whatevergreen completely removed and see no issues except for the DRM gate ones that shiki fixes.  Actually I see things I didn't see before with it removed.  For instance HWMonitor now shows more GPU info, and I don't recall being able to choose between GPU's in Geekbench or API's but perhaps I never looked hard enough.

You must be using a HDMI port as it’s the display port that needs WEG and pikera to stop the black screen.

Correct, I am using HDMI.

Well there you go :)

I need to use a display port as my main out unfortunately or I would do the same thing as you.

Was about to report the same thing.  I removed shiki, pikera and also did agdpmod=ignore.

Your sig says you're running the Master. Did you test this on the Pro or the Master?

I'm fully aware of that.  Thanks.  Nothing I was discussing is Master exclusive.

The boot flags certainly are. You cannot boot on the Pro without some you have omitted. You are now misleading people because of your ego.

It seems that with every Catalina revision smbios 19,1 is becoming more and more of a pain to use. smbios iMacpro1,1 is always there as a second option and works just fine but if your a Navi User then be careful as heavy prolonged GPU usage can cause the system to freeze.

We both know MacPro7,1 = BIS

Which ones?  AudioGod himself said I was able to boot because I was using HDMI.  You can't use HDMI on your video card on the Pro?

The irony is that you are being one right here and now. Nothing forces you to read my stuff. Feel free to ignore what I write. This kind of ego flexing has nothing to do with anything. Totally OT.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to ruffle thru hackintosh info for the correct stuff? Then you have a guy making claims using an entirely different board. How does that help noobies looking to get their rig up and running when this guy is telling them to leave their system in an unusable state.

The Pro != Master. Period. Any talk of the Pro is basically OT and just misleads people. So yeah. Way to stroke your ego and deliver misleading info. Good contribution!

Not once did I tell anyone what to set their systems to.  Simply put it someone reported artificating in QT and I tried to find what could be causing it.  We both came to the same conclusion that what was causing it seemed to be WEG flags.  Not sure why you're so butt hurt but let it die breh.  Please quote where I was advising people to use a particular setting?  I'll wait.

If someone is not capable of following a conversation, experimenting and accepting mistakes then probably they should buy a Mac.

Your attitude in this topic has been worse and worse, offending people whenever you like and if someone complains you request to ignore you? It’s not how it goes in a healthy community, dude.

So just chill, accept your wrongdoings and say sorry.

It is behaviors like this that will make @AudioGod to get full of this and stop supporting the Pro which he actually doesn’t own any more.

I started Hackintosh on this mobo and AudioGod's work here and advice lead me to upgrade to the Master.  :thumbsup_anim:

I still frequent this thread from time to time since they are somewhat similar boards and try to help out when I can like the artifacting issue that was brought up yesterday.  Not sure what dude's problem is but I guess it didn't start with me.  :wink_anim:

WEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

It Works!!!

Honored to have your details also listed hahah!!!

Thank you so much!

I know this thread is mostly about getting your PCI devices listed in the profile, but I have a few questions about the Titan Ridge Card. I have an old MBP with a thunderbolt 2 port, so I need to get an adapter and TB2 cable to test it out with the card. Until then, it would be nice to get it setup correctly before I test it.

What did you do to get it working? Is hot-plugging enabled with your setup?

I did notice my card wasn't initially listed in the io registry explorer utility until I used a temporary installation of Win10 and installed the drivers. Then when I went back to the "mac side", it showed up under RP21? (can't remember off hand), but of course is doesn't show up under the PCI profile (purely cosmetic, I know). Just wanted to ask if there are any details you can relay to me like BIOS settings for the card.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

@AudioGod At first you are my Hackintosh hero!!

Can I ask you a few question about your very first post in this thread?. There is a picture that shows your detected hardware info by VideoProc Software. I guess that "Intel UHD 630 GPU" is just wrong cosmetic, but your correct GPU is working there, right?

Next, by enabling IGPU in BIOS, VideoProc doesn't show me any graphic card just "N/A" also H264 -> Unavailable and HEVC -> Unavailable BUT Sidecar is working great!

by switching IGPU in BIOS off, VideoProc gives me the same picture like yours in post #1, but without working Sidecar. This there any other way to check if hardware acceleration is working? except VideoProc? maybe mine is working but not showing in VideoProc.

Nope, not hardly. He's been like that for a while. And apparently not only in this forum. He apologized (sort of) a while back blaming it on Asperger. I was merely pointing out that he needs to step back again and examine his responses but clearly he didn’t take my advice and will probably react badly again.

Hey thanks for the replies re using the IGFX, it's just a server but it'll throw one of the cards in that i've used OOB in the past and turn off IGFX and see if that helps at all. Shame the pro is not a stable board, i'd seen so much info on it i figured it was working well all over the place.

hey all just an update on this, i purchased a Gigabyte 570 graphics card, installed it, used the polaris EFI folder, added my own serial number and bam it worked first go. Thanks SO much for the tips, really appreciated.

Hi! I am new to mackintosh and I am kinda lost in this step in the BIOS.

 Settings -> IO Ports -> DVMT Pre-Allocated -> 64M

 Settings -> IO Ports -> DVMT Total GFX0-Allocated -> 256M

I cannot find the DVMT somewhere in the IO Ports.

Thank you!

I think if you have iGPU disabled or auto maybe this setting goes away.

Hello there and thanks for the kind words buddy.

Ok so to answer your question, when you are running smbios 19,1 with igpu enabled In headless mode it will use the igpu for quick sync and this is why it’s listing it in VideoProc and should be that way so what I’m displaying in that picture is correct and should be the same way for you too.

male sure it’s not showing your igpu in your system info under graphics cards and make sure it is displaying in geekbench but if it’s not showing correctly in video proc then it’s not correctly setup.
