notobo
Strange thing with new Chrome ver. 117.0.5938.92 Site cant be reached and said in info that is not secure. Chrome from Android works, Safari from Monterey 12.7 also. Said that problem is something about certificate. Delete cert. from keychain, same thing. Addendum: After I delete Chrome and all his accompanyng files, instal new one from scratch, everything is back in order. kgp
Hi, I am constantly getting the Cloudflare "Verify you are human" prompt on InsanelyMac. This is not a one-time check – it appears repeatedly on almost every visit or page load. The issue occurs across multiple devices: - MacBook Pro M1 - Hackintosh - iPhone 16 Pro - iPad Pro M4 I have also verified: - Private Relay is disabled - No VPN is being used - Different browsers show the same behavior Additionally, this happens on different networks: - Home network (Wi-Fi/LAN) - Mobile data (cellular) So this does not seem to be device-specific, network-specific, or related to VPN usage. It feels like the Cloudflare security level is too aggressive or misconfigured. Screenshot attached. Is this expected behaviour or can this be adjusted? Thanks! deeveedee
Sometimes, repeated and frequent visits from the same IP address trigger Cloudflare's bot-prevention algorithm. If you are visiting a Cloudflare-protected site (like InsanelyMac) very frequently, it's possible that you'll be challenged to verify you are human. I'd be interested to know if you visit less frequently (maybe once every 30 minutes instead of once every 5 minutes), does the challenge stop? 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/334182-site-issues/page/10/#findComment-2849374 Share on other sites

I don't visit the forum each 30 minutes but sometimes a day and it is always the same issue for several days now. Even during the same session the verification sometimes pops up when just changing the thread or writing a post. It also does not matter whether I am logged in or not. The issue occurs using either Home network (Wi-Fi/LAN) or Mobile data (cellular). It is definitely not an IP or account issue and also not device specific (The issue occurs across multiple devices: - MacBook Pro M1 - Hackintosh - iPhone 16 Pro- iPad Pro M4). The issue is also not browser dependent and occurs with both Safari (Browser and Dock) and Brave. deeveedee
Could be that non-U.S. IP addresses in certain CIDR blocks are flagged because of other activity within the block. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/334182-site-issues/page/10/#findComment-2849379 Share on other sites
kgp
1 hour ago, deeveedee said: Could be that non-U.S. IP addresses in certain CIDR blocks are flagged because of other activity within the block. Hi, thanks for your input. So do you think this is not caused by a misconfiguration on InsanelyMac’s side? I am using German IPs, and the issue occurs consistently across different networks (home Wi-Fi/LAN and mobile data), as well as across multiple devices. Using a U.S. VPN might avoid the issue, but that would only be a workaround and not a real solution, as it doesn’t make regular use of InsanelyMac practical. Given this behavior, it still feels like the Cloudflare security settings might be too aggressive or not properly tuned. @Allan, @fantomas?? Thanks! deeveedee
I am sure that the Cloudflare bot challenges are directly related to how InsanelyMac admins have configured Cloudflare - maybe in response to heightened bot attacks? I don't know - I'm not an admin. There are multiple reasons that Cloudflare's bot mitigation is triggered. Ask ChatGPT and you'll get a response like this: 4. Why You Personally Keep Getting Challenges Even if you’re not a bot, certain conditions can trigger Cloudflare’s algorithm: Using VPNs or proxies that Cloudflare associates with suspicious traffic. Browser extensions that block JavaScript or modify headers. Having an unusual browser fingerprint (less common, but possible with privacy tools). Network-level issues like shared IPs from mobile carriers or cloud hosting providers. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/334182-site-issues/page/10/#findComment-2849382 Share on other sites
