Good news for Chameleon fans. I located the reboot in the kernel, so you should soon be able to boot Yosemite with Chameleon!

See my request for data here.

Thank you for helping!

PRAISE THE SUN.

Can't wait. Clover isn't exactly ideal for me.

I keep getting stuck on this line:

kext com.apple.driver.applemobiledevice 303009000 is in exception list, allowing to load

I know this is a good thing (allowing a kext to load) but why is hanging on this and how would I fix it?

I am using a Gigabyte Z77-DS3H motherboard

Got it working by digging out the kexts from the InstallESD and reinstalling them.

Anyone wanna guess why the USB installer would install graphics kexts without the info.plists??? Totally weird...

Yeah, cuz you v been messing with kexts...Sometimes,when we remove videos kexts to install the OS X,after installed, the video kexts are missing the info.plists...

I didn't have to do much, created a fresh USB.

Installed latest Clover to USB.

Copied latest FakeSMC to System/Library/Extensions on USB, permission FakeSMC.

Boot into installer using kext-dev-mode=1 -s

kextload -v FakeSMC then exit, install OS X then boot using Clover using kext-dev-mode=1 boot arg.

I love the new visual style, quite refreshing actually.

Ok so I installed Yosemite to my HDD. Whenever I boot my systems gets stuck on this line:

kext com.apple.driver.applemobiledevice 303009000 is in exception list, allowing to load

I left the computer overnight and I saw no progress in the morning.

Any thoughts?

Did you get 10.10 working on your z77-ds3h? I have one and cant seem to get it?

Yes I did.

I followed +ira's instructions to the letter.

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298402-os-x-yosemite-dps-builds/?p=2024272

Although I did stumble on the same problem, but if I remember well it was due to FakeSMC.kext not loading. (trying Clover injection)

I took the EFI folder from Mavericks and put it in the installer disk.

Anyway, does someone know how to activate the debug menu in Disk Utility ?

The old method doen't work.

I type this in terminal

defaults write com.apple.DiskUtility DUDebugMenuEnabled 1

and restart Disk Utility.  Useful to show hidden partitions & mount/unmount the EFI (right click on it)....

Grrrrr still can't boot!! Still reboots prior to the installer. I know the USB drive is configured correctly because it will boot into the installer just fine on my friend's Z220 workstation with a Radeon 7750. Pretty sure it's just the graphics card of my build. Tried evvvvvvvvverything that everyone has suggested (thanks!!) and I've redone the USB stick at least 4 times.

FakeSMC.kext is good for sure. Tried Injecting Nvidia from Clover, reinstalling the Nvidia kexts, etc.

All on Clover r2695... Anything I might have missed? GPU is 630 GT btw. Also tried a GeForce 210 with same results.

Just bought a beautiful new IPS monitor today and I'm dying to see Yosemite on it lol

p.s. Take a look at this MSR

IA32_ENERGY_PERF_BIAS......(0x1B0)

When that isn't set to 1 then more Apple p-states will be reached.

Interesting idea!

I tested but get no result.

Hey Slice, my both MPs (2,1 10.9.3 and 5,1 10.8.5) spit out below error:

nvram: Error getting variable - '4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:HW_BID': (iokit/common) data was not found

Copy/pasted your command, maybe there's a typo somewhere?

For check about typo replace HW_BID to ROM

Now it works (with ROM), here is the output from 5,1 (4,1 with flashed firmware) and 10.8.5:

4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:ROM	%00#%df%db%1b,

So we expected HW_BID only on new Macs.

I installed Yosemite, everything works, but I have a problem: when I press any mouse click cursor goes to the upper left corner.

Sorry for my bad english, I use Google Translate!
