Aigors
tried to put ozmosistheme on my bios but it doesn't work. should i delete the gigabyte file logo (if it exists?)? the ozmosistheme dont work on z87 chipset, you have to press maybe F8 or other function key to show boot menu, if you can read OSX Mavericks installation or something like that, ozmosis are working, you can put ozmosis in boot volume on bios instead of volume where is CORE_DXE in this way you can see Quo logo. bs0d
all the logo's do are waste space and more importantly slows down the boot due to the screen mode changes, especially with csm video.

bs0d
Its chosing some external disk you have that contains a /EFI/QUO folder delete that and boot without that drive connected and /EFI/QUO will be created on an internal drive. and that should then appear in this log line instead of your external drive. Found Storage PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1C,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x5,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/VenHw(CF31FAC5-C24E-11D2-85F3-00A0C93EC93B,80)/?/HD(1,GPT,C0379A4E-B0EF-46E6-9913-D6C4237F319E,0x800,0x100000) The thinking is ..... if you make a mistake with a file that gets loaded from the internal disk, you can plug in an external drive with an /EFI/QUO folder which will take precendce of the internal drive and hopefully let you boot. It should create and use /EFI/QUO folder on your first internal disk's EFI System Partition, thats its normal location. StoneTemplePilots
can you be more specific? I have multiple EFI boot partitions and the QUO folder wasn't on all of them, so I copied over the whole QUO folder onto any FAT32 boot partition, now it loads the DSDT.aml. However SSDT.aml doesn't get loaded.
bs0d
its on your external disk S: it will be created if it cant find it already on a disk. i told you how to fix it ... remove the external disk shown in your log and it would have created /EFI/QUO on the internal disk, but you also need to remove the folder from the external disk otherwise it will use that next time its connected when you boot. i'd remove all the /EFI/QUO folders you made and let it make one itself. xpamamadeus
I put DSDT.aml and SSDT.aml into but however it's ignored as I see with bdmesg. Does loading from this location need to be enabled at commandline? StoneTemplePilots
Check first post for DSDT2bios. Hi xpamamamdeus, I followed your guide exactly, but as you can see dsdt2bios fails with "File has .ROM section. It can't be patched." However I can tell you additionally, that loading DSDT.aml from EFI partition is not working as it should. There are some parts of the existing DSDT merged with the patched DSDT, and that's why my audio still doesn't work. I remember we discussed DSDT patching at MDL so next step is to try it manually.
