the ozmosistheme dont work on z87 chipset, you have to press maybe F8 or other function key to show boot menu, if you can read OSX Mavericks installation or something like that, ozmosis are working, you can put ozmosis in boot volume on bios instead of volume where is CORE_DXE in this way you can see Quo logo.

Put module ozmosis in boot volume on bios instead of volume where is CORE_DXE but it's' not important quo logo, if you see OSX hdd or usb stick with osx installer pressing F8 or F10, it's' ok

hi guys. please, is something else i can do to improve my dsdt for the z87x ud4h?

these are my steps after extracting the dsdt through uefitool and dsdt2bios utility:

1-patched with pjalm z87x-ud4h

2-patched with toleda 8 series-clean compile

3-patched with toleda desktop-hd5k/AMD/NVIDIA-A1

4-edited the igpu value (this gives me airplay mirroring using gfx as primary display)

5-adding the ssdt for power management at the bottom

6-compile and save

attached the original dsdt and the dsdt edited as i wrote before (without putting the ssdt for power management at the bottom).

thank you

Hi xelanaiznac!

If you like to use QUO LOGO, try to replace the raw file with this attached one inside this module on the bios: 7BB28B99-61BB-11D5-9A5D

xpam, I tried that rom and I still don't get a second screen on my 280X, how do I change the framebuffer.

Using Ozmosis it says the framebuffer is Futomaki and I don't get second screen:

Using Clover it says the framebuffer is RadeonFramebuffer and I do get second screen:

Its chosing some external disk you have that contains a /EFI/QUO folder delete that and boot without that drive connected and /EFI/QUO will be created on an internal drive.

and that should then appear in this log line instead of your external drive.

Found Storage PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1C,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x5,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/VenHw(CF31FAC5-C24E-11D2-85F3-00A0C93EC93B,80)/?/HD(1,GPT,C0379A4E-B0EF-46E6-9913-D6C4237F319E,0x800,0x100000)

The thinking is ..... if you make a mistake with a file that gets loaded from the internal disk, you can plug in an external drive with an /EFI/QUO folder which will take precendce of the internal drive and hopefully let you boot.

It should create and use /EFI/QUO folder on your first internal disk's EFI System Partition, thats its normal location.

its on your external disk S:

it will be created if it cant find it already on a disk.

i told you how to fix it ... remove the external disk shown in your log and it would have created /EFI/QUO on the internal disk, but you also need to remove the folder from the external disk otherwise it will use that next time its connected when you boot.

i'd remove all the /EFI/QUO folders you made and let it make one itself.

Check first post for DSDT2bios.

Hi xpamamamdeus,

I followed your guide exactly, but as you can see dsdt2bios fails with

"File has .ROM section. It can't be patched."

However I can tell you additionally, that loading DSDT.aml from EFI partition is not working as it should.

There are some parts of the existing DSDT merged with the patched DSDT, and that's why my audio still doesn't work.

I remember we discussed DSDT patching at MDL so next step is to try it manually.
