I think the performance loss comes from the fact the kernel we have is a 12.2 one. We need at least a 12.3 kernel to test 10.8.4 decently. All the best! The kernel works for me, the only additional kext I used was nullcpupowermanagement, when I tried fakesmc I got a kernel panic, something to do with 'Do Not Steal OS X'. My HDMI audio is not working properly on my 6870 card, works perfectly in 10.6.8, works in mountain lion dp1 using sinedp1 but I have to delete libcldcpuengine.dylib (which removes some icons) and the flags: busratio=14 fsb=200 to get the audio working. EDIT 2: Keep getting a Kernel Panic when accessing a SMB Windows XP server. EDIT 3: Audio is fine, just terrible in Chrome without --disable-accelerated-compositing. All the best! I confess i'm not as interested in run a DP1 kernel as i am in testing 10.8.4 on my AMD machine. Shane reported even more buggy graphics, but perhaps this is because of we're all running kernels compiled from 10.8.0-2 sources. Best regards! Running DP1 in x86_64 perfectly just now. No glitches with my HD5450 at all. Safari works fine and so does Launchpad. Full screen apps, glass menu bar. Only thing not working is sound but thats no worry just now. Will test with my GT430 later on. It is best driver . Don't understand, explain please. Im in 10.8.3 whit full qe/ci but whit graphics artifacts.
