bluedragon1971
I voted for Azureus, although I have only tried BitTorrent, Azureus, and Tomato out of that list. I'm sure you will get some complaints that you didn't list very many different clients, or didn't list an "other" category.
asstastic
hows this transmission client compare to azureus? i like azureus because it comes with everything but the kitchen sink, but it is a bit of a resource hog.

A Nonny Moose
There's no choice for Opera in the torrent client list.
denied
transmission:mac::µtorrent:pc very fast, super low overhead. hard to beat Transmission. Azureus is the most powerful and extensible, but maaaan does it eat resources.
Pantalaimon
the onlt thing that transmission needs is indivual select and torrent creation and its the best
Technobob
You should also include Bits On Wheels another good client

snoxu
Hello! I'm coming from Windows/utorrent and I'm looking for a Mac bit torrent client that can queue downloads. Is there anything out there? The ones I've tried don't seem to do it... I've tried transmission, Tomato, BitRocket, Xtorrent and none of them seem to have settings to queue downloads. And no thanks I'm not going to use Azureus because I have few system resources as it is.
macgirl
Normally I handle my torrents within Edonkey, but when it needs more peers (because of DHT) I use uTorrent. Dedicated PC for that. For little ones on the Mac I use BitTorrent.
mifki
azureus for mac, bitcomet/utorrent for windows
Alessandro17
BitTornado is my favorite, but there is no native OS X client. Edit: I have now voted for Transmission, since it is the one I use in OS X, but I wish it had more features.
kevin_4e
Azureus brought death to my MacBook's HD I'll still use it in the future though.

hecker
transmission rocks dudes! It's petit, fast and simple and it gets the job done. Fast, reliable, not a memory hog. Except for one small detail: you can't pick to just download or skip single files from the torrent. At least, I never figured it out. So if it's there, that means I'm an idiot. hecker Edited February 9, 2007 by hecker
Hagar
Just to make sure, I did a quick round of 5 random-ish torrent sites & found that transmission is specifically banned on 4 of them. I have heard elsewhere that the overzealous announcing by transmission has been solved, but the fact remains that you can get banned from numerous trackers for using it...
