Never used ME, but Vista sucked so much that I switched to a real macbook last year to replace the Packard Bell piece of {censored} I had as a laptop. Now triple-booting Windows 7 Beta on my PC desktop, along with Ubuntu and OS X. So far, it looks like an improved Vista UI with an XP stability.

hey come on knock off the windows ME being BS stuff or em I one of the few % that actually liked it? well for started the only blue screen I ever got from windows ME waz the Opss I ejected the CD well it waz in use bluescreen. other then that it worked flawless for me

mac Classic from os 6.1 to 9.0 had to by far the worst os ever to use. Lack of system setting, and by far real lack of 3rd Party software

next up linux from lets say the years of Fedora Core 5 down to RedHat 7 (witch had the first semi useable UI) same reason as Mac Classic

come to think of it I think my Dos 5.0 and Windows 3.1 had more software available then ether linux and mac together had

Toss up? Vista & Me. Other than the Dos based windows 3.0-3.1 ect.The problems with Vista was just Me revisited. I have been a Microsoft fan for as long as I have had a computer, early dos days. I hated Me but it was the only real choice. Today we have OS X which is by far the best, just me. I have a Hackintosh (P5e-q9650 quad core clocked 4.3 ghz. Asus 8800gt, 2 hard drives & blu-ray drive that works like a charm) that never crashes & another computer, dual boot XP & Vista. I also run XP with vmware on my hack. For every day use I use OS X. For opps I have to do that there is not readly available I use XP. I almost never use Vista. I tried it with all updates for about a year and hate it. It is the most unstable piece of #@&! Microsoft has made. Largest, slowest most unstable piece of bloatware ever. I wish Microsoft would package Windows by itself. The bigest problem all versions of windows have is they are trying to be all things to all people. Compatability and conectivity is great but they give up too much stability and security at the same time. I hope for Microsoft's sake Windows 7 is better. As my father used to say " Get Good or get gone".While business will stay with Microsoft for years to come the home user will change in a heart beat.

Second & End thought: Vista Hands Down the worst. Ubuntu third!!!!

Uh...

I guess ME is the worst. I can't say much about BOB, as I never used it, and I've barely used Vista as it is. All I'm concerned about is being able to run SheepShaver and Basilisk. ME can't run it, I bet BOB can't run it, and Vista f***** up my .hfv file. And the .img file that housed my OS 9 install.

7 seems kinda... interesting. VMware has to work on their Tools for 7, as it thinks 7 is Vista (what a surprise!) and it messes up virtual monitor resolution every time I boot it.

Windows 2000 was dreadful.

I had never heard that before. Every "geek" used to believe that Windows 2000 was great.

For me the worst piece of Microsoft BS is definitely Vista. I have never used it for longer than a couple of hours.

People saying Vista must be 12 y/o.

And I suppose you are about 5?

Definitely Windows ME! Had it for a really short time and deleted it after a lot of blue screens...

Also Windows 98, I installed it so many times that I still could recite the complete cd key :)

Using Vista as gaming OS at the moment and I don't like it either.

For me the worst piece of Microsoft BS is definitely Vista. I have never used it for longer than a couple of hours.

Well, that's the reason why you think it's crappy OS. Use it for something more than playing games/watching movies, and you'll realize that Vista is pretty damn good OS.

Windows ME, hands-down.

The hate towards Vista is pretty unreasonable IMO. Nearly all operating systems are full of problems when they are first released, and Vista's share of problems have been fixed for quite a while now. Having Vista, 7, XP, and Fedora on different partitions, I'd say that 7 is the best OS I have and that Vista and Fedora tie for second.
