HI, i just donwloaded you distro, but i get the same results as with kalaway and the others...

I just dont see my hard driver in the disk utilitis

i hace a mobo with the x200 chipset from ati, and i thoght that was the problem... but your distro has the controler.. so now i dont get it!

i have a 250gb disc partitionede, i did a 18gb partition with fat32 for osx

during the first part of the install, i see that the disk is recogniced cose i see a disk0s1

any idea whats the problem here?

my motherboard is ECS RC410-M2

First try re-install selecting NatitGMA (is an option under 'Graphics/Intel' on the DVD); If that doesnt work try re-install selecting GMAx3100 + NatitGMA (also under 'Graphics/Intel'). If you dont want to reinstall so many times you could replace/add the files by hand (dont forget to repair permissions). You need to 'fish out' the packages from within the DVD (System/Install/Packages/Patches/) and unpack them on the desktop with Pacifist. Do not execute the pkgs by themselves, they would not install the file where is needed.

If this still doesnt work then get the old 10.5.1 kexts and install them with Kexthelper.app together with natitGMA (take it from the DVD). After all you got QE/CI with those kexts

I doubt this is an EDID problem, but if you succeed in making a dump PM me; you could try to make a custom profile for your laptop display panel.

Demonoid is a private torrent site..They usually open for registration around the 5th of every month for one day only..Other than that it's pretty hard to get access..Jas 10.4.6 and an intel update to 10.4.7 are easily available on the Bay..Just do a search..

Anyway your dump doesnt seem right (Vendor ID:0000??); I would do it from windows to be sure.

 

BTW, I already told you all the files you need are inside the DVD (NatitGMA; old x3100 kexts, DisplayUtility.app)

Hi,

 

I have an GA-P35-DS3L motherboard/e2180. Right after downloading, I applied the PPF1.

 

1st issue:

 

USB mouse and keyboard are not working in the installation itself. I just have to grab a PS2 mouse/kb and post the results later.

 

2nd issue:

 

none so far. I have to install it first .. lol. Will post later.

Could you give me a direct hint what I need to do?

Even with the old 3100 kexts. But If I only install the old X3100.kext and X3100FB.kext, X3100 is reconized correctly.

But when I change the resoultion to 1400x1050(my laptop resolution), the mouse icon will become tearing.

So I downsize the resolution to next level, the mouse icon turns to normal. But the CI/QE still can't work.

 

Hope you can give my some suggestions, thank you.

All work perfect, I even do it all Apple updates without problem...now show my system is up to date hehehe.

The only problem still is 9800GX2, i tried install NVKush from dvd installation options and no luck.

System open in usual 1024x768 without card be reconized. :unsure:

 

Someone write in graphics&drivers section to try put card on second pc-e slot, i still not tried, btw your driver for 9800gx2 included in dvd not work for me.

Im using Ideneb version right now.I have 2 question here. Is there a guide to patch PPF1 to the iso? and w/c driver i will choose, theres a lot of option here. New features that i didnt know how to use. Reality Im just a noob. Thanks

no problem; anyway I dont think that generating a custom profile for your display will help.

If you got your x3100 fully working with kaly 10.5.1 then just go back to that and try to update till 10.5.5 with the apple combo update (theres a few guides on the 'how-to' section)...

Last thing you could try is to use the OpenGLFramework from 10.5.1 together with the 10.5.1 x3100 kexts. Theres a lot of info on how to do this in the forum; use the search function

I just want to share my experience with this great release.

 

First of all, I just posted earlier about a USB mouse/KB not working on the installer itself. It was actually working, I think my PC got a glitch or something. Please trash my earlier post.

 

My full specs:

 

-GA-P35-DS3L Rev 2.0 F5 Bios

-E2180

-Nvidia 7600GT 256mb ddr3

- 3 SATA Seagate HDDs

- 1 SATA DVDRW

- 2GB ddr2 800 ram

- USB mouse/kb

-Running in AHCI mode

-22-inch Samung LCD

 

DVD booted fine but it was kinda slow compared to other releases. However, the installation method is lightning fast! It took me about 6-8 mins to install everything.

 

These are the items I checked:

 

-All Essential Software except Optional Essential Kext (I did not check any items there)

-Voodoo Beta 2c

-ICHx_DUNE

-HDA Enabler

-ALC888_ad0

-Enhanced SpeedStep 1.40

-Enhanced SpeedStep

-EHCI Sleep Enabler

-OpenHaltRestart

-SysProfilerFix

-EFI Studio

 

Since I did not install any video drivers (because I want EFI), I had to boot using -v -x

 

After booting in safe mode, opened up utilities and opened EFI Studio. Choose my video card (7600GT) and appended to com.apple.Boot.plist.

 

Reboot and everything was working (video wise). QI/CE is working ok.

 

Next, I tried the newer Voodoo kernel RC (9.5) from here: http://code.google.com/p/xnu-dev/downloads/list

 

Installed and reboot. It worked properly.

 

Sleep, Restart, Shutdown are all working fine (at long last!).

 

Checked System Profiler and everything is detected (audio, video, usb).

 

Minor issues:

 

1) System profiler detected my ICH9 chipset as Unknown AHCI controller. My Icons are all orange. To fix this, I followed this thread. It included the kext that is needed. If possible, you can add this in the next ppf.

2) Software update is really slow. I'm not sure what is the actual cause but at first I thought it was my internet. It wasn't. When I booted to Vista and Ubuntu, my internet was actually fast. I'm now thinking that maybe, Apple's website is slow today. Or maybe, there is something wrong somewhere. Anyway, it took me 12 mins to show the list of updates available. Normally, it takes me about a minute or two.

 

BTW, I saw that there is NVDarwin in the list of video drivers. I actually tried it and it is actually working. Now, I'm curious between the other releases and specially EFI (since, this is the one I use ever since). Are they all the same? Should I use this NVDarwin? I really never liked using other Video drivers since EFI-GFX is working fine. But NVDarwin sounds really cool .. lol. What's your opinion about these guys? Is it better that EFI/gfx?

 

Right now, I would say that this release is the best even it is still in beta stage.

Hi thx for the download...but it wont work... (got the ppf1 one)

 

i get stuck at: can't read/writh

 

my spec's are:

 

MB: Asus p5ne-sli

cpu: e6550

gpu: 9600 gt

hd: sata maxtor 250 gig

dvd: lg sata dvd burner/player

 

got onboard lan of because i can't get it to work with other ditro's ideneb, leo4all 10.5.2

and replaced it for a cheap one that works. (rtl 8139)

Hi all,

 

After successfully installing everything and running real nice and smooth, I noticed a problem that I can't fix :rolleyes:

 

The chamaleon bootloader overwrites my existing bootloader. Every time I make my Ubuntu grub active again, I restart and it works. However, as soon as I just booted to leopard, Darwin overwrites the grub bootloader again. I have to make it active again (grub).

 

Please help. Is there a way to make Grub my superior bootloader again?

keplenk, go to your grub menu.lst and remove the "makeactive"line from your OSX Section

 

eg

Wow, I can't believe I missed that! I haven't checked my menu.lst since, because I always use that as my standard menu.lst everytime I reformat. I never had any problems with PCI_EFI / or older version of chameleon. I guess this release has a better chameleon bootloader with it :thumbsup_anim:

 

THanks for the tip RhyGuy :D Removed makeactive.. viola, Everything is working great now. Grub is now superior in my PC.

Hi

worked great for me too:

I selected ICHx_dune, laptop display, gmax3100 ( but dind't worked as my device id is 2a12 and not 2a02),

AppleAzaliaAudiADI1981, intel 82566MM(for my 82562GT ethernet), Broadcom Wireless (needed to edit the Info.plist to 4315), and SMBios667.

 

Everything is working ok, except for the language, I had to install mine from kaliway dvd with pacifist.

 

Sleep is not working yet

Hello, I'm Jack from Switzerland and I'm completely new to Hackintosh.

 

The reason I would like to install Leopard is that I'm frustrated with both XP and Vista and Ubuntu doesn't seem to support some of the hardware of my system. since a couple of days I have an iphone and love it so much that I would like to try installing OSX on my PC.

 

I've tried to install this release (downloaded Torrent from Demonoid) on my Dell XPS 700 Tower and at a certain point the installation just freezes. I have 2 empty unalocated partitions on the same HD like Win XP SP3.

 

Freeze at:

diskaritrationd [44] CoreRaidServer [43] 20483 not responding

diskaritrationd [44] unable to mount /dev/disk0s2

diskaritrationd [44] unable to mount /dev/disk0s5

 

Dell XPS 700 Intel Core2 6600 @ 2.4GHz

Mainboard: Dell Inc. Dell DXG061

Chip: Nvidia nForece4 Intel Edition

Frontside Bus: 4x266MHz

Graphic: Nvidia GeForece 7900 GS

HD: ST3500641AS 500GB

Sony DVD-Rom

TSSTcorp DVD+-RW

 

If above hardware is usable is there a step-by-step guide for the installation?

Oooppss really? Sorry about that. I guess, my guess is wrong ;) I still find it weird not to have this issue before even though makeactive is listed in my osx entry inside menu.lst. Anyway, I'll update my chameleon.
