I'm about to make the switch. Heres my story...

I have only used macs at school, We started with some really old ones, then iMac G3s, then eMacs, then iBooks, then iMac G5s. And all I can say is they run terribly. I'm not sure if it's because of the PPC processors or because they do a network login, (All out user accounts are stored on a remote server, So we can login from wherever) But I installed OS X86 mainly for Garageband.

After I installed it I was amazed at the speed of it. And I downloaded iLife and have grown to love it. Now, I was thinking of purchasing a laptop and have decided to get a MacBook, so I can run XP (I need it for some school stuff) And OS X for other school stuff.

I hope it was a wise move :whistle:

I try to use Mac OS X on my Pc desktop for try something different, and fortunately it works well. After i try Mac OS X on my notebook and now i have a beautiful iMac G4 and a new MacBook PRO.....at the and OSX86 Project makes to grow new Apple buyers!!! Bye to all....

After installing osx86 on my hp I was thinking about purchasing a new macbookpro however after using my sister's mbp I became really frustrated with a single mouse button. I am however ordering a new macmini but i think I'll leave the laptops to the pc manufacturers.

as soon as apple decided to switch to intel. i was starting to gain interest. then i stumbled onto the osxproject. and love os x. i have been a windows user faithfully since 3.1. and since being able to have a dual boot pc with both os x and xp pro. and now being able to do both on a mac. i will be switching in the future to one of the new Mac Pros. reading the sys specs and what one of the machines can hold as far as memory. i was droolin. now i am prolly gonna hold out til i see a Mac pro that runs SLI (unless it does and i just missed reading about it).

I told my wife my next Computer was going to be a dream computer. well it looks like my dreams have been answered w a mac pro(lol)

Been playing with OS X 86 (Hackintosh) for about 2 months. Been a Windows boy for 14 years, and just bought my GF a MB 13" for her birthday.

I'll be next on the list with a MBP by the end of the year. Just kinda disappointed that to get a desktop unit, I have to get an iMac or Mac Pro (iMac too slow, Mac Pro too expensive =( )

Still though, I love it. Way to go AAPL! =D

I haven't had much experience with my Hackinstosh but I'm loving it so far. I'm convinced that I'm going to try to get a MacMini now and get rid of my desktop pc since its slow and my laptop is sufficient for Windows gaming. I never really considered getting a Mac until I tried my Hackintosh. I kind of wish I bought a Macbook instead but oh well..

I did, and to be honest......I have yet to understand why...LOL. Anyway, it's a sexy "looking" laptop (MBP), but I constantly feel concerned that it's gonna eventually give me problems..... Nice toy tho, I do enjoy it to some degree, just not sure I bought it for the right reasons.......OF COURSE I DID'NT.....LOL!!! :):):sorcerer::tomato::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

I"M AND IDIOT!!!!! :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

I bought a mac mini before I even heard of OS X because it was sleek and beautiful but now as a result of OS X, I highly doubt I'll spend another cent on Apple products.

In fact, I think I'll be comitting all my future computing needs to Dell. Good and reasonably priced and able to run any OS (including OS X thanks to OS X and Maxxuus) lol

i'm definitly buying a macbook pro. just not now, i can't afford it :) i wanted to buy it for this school year, but my parents didn't want me getting student loans this year, so i'll be buying a macbook pro next year, and hopefully it'll have a core 2 duo chip in it and have 2 mouse buttons and i'll be in laptop heaven.

Ok, thought this'd be an interesting one, i've follwed the OSX86 project since it started and have had it running ok on my laptop for a few months and have deciced to buy a refurbished Powerbook 15" 1.67Ghz (latest model) because of my experience via this project, anyone else......?

Well, i've followed osx86 project, not because i'm interested in apple machines (i already got 1 a ppc old imac, the 1 presented by phil shiller).

But because i already got 1, i got to sell it, and i still want to experiment with mac apps on my little dear pc

:blink::D :D

:compress: Choosing from MacBook Pro and MacBook. It's hard. Coz I want a smaller size notebook, like MacBook. But it doesn't have any display chipset. I want to get a better performace, like MacBook Pro, with an ATI display chipset. But it's too heavy for me. Ahhhhhhh :idea:

I got myself a 12" PowerBook as soon as my finger got used to the interface again. I have owned several macs since the break of dawn but the 12" is the sexiest computer I've ever had, even though it's yesterday's news. A Mac Pro is coming up as soon as I can get my hands at one. The only problem here in Norway, is that the Mac stores really sucks service-vise, or I would have thrashed my PC a long time ago.
