Swad
aldimeneira - The Mac Mini isn't as powerful as I would need it to be, and the refurbs/used are still too expensive for me. And I've been surprised at how good (and legit) this referral thing is. Maybe you should give it a try (or at least poke around the site - since I'm paying for the 12 bucks you've got nothing to lose!)
MacSpaces
You have a computer obviously-why not install mac os x? your asking for too much a macbook pro? the mini is a good deal-please dont tell me your computer is a 400 mhz pentium 1 computer youve haqd for years-and too broke to purchase one..when your willing to spend 400 bucks on a macbook pro... i can find out what type of computer your using-i find it hard to believe that you need a mac that bad to keep a website up...use osx86 and mess around with it period. i think your trying to take advantage of the situation-flame on just my 2 cents-if i really wanted to do something to a website im running believe me i will settle for an emac or mac mini..does it have to be portable? Guest kksurf
Hes not forcing people to do anything, i did the offer of my own free will it wasnt a big hassle probablly a total of 30min of my time spent. Theres nothing wrong in doing something nice for someone else. Why not aim for the macbook if he doesnt get enough referalls for that he can still change and choose the mac mini. Dont be a hater maybe if you did the offer the good karma would come back to you
amdprophet
He doesn't NEED it, but if he's running the website and doesn't own a Mac then it would sure be useful. So what if it takes a few minutes and a few bucks to do it, in the end it's helping out the whole community.
Swad
MacSpaces- First, try punctuation. It'll help us take you more seriously. You have a computer obviously-why not install mac os x? 1) I'm not near any computer that has compatible hardware and 2) I'm not crazy about installing it without having paid for it. your asking for too much a macbook pro? Is that a statement or a question? the mini is a good deal-please dont tell me your computer is a 400 mhz pentium 1 computer youve haqd for years-and too broke to purchase one..when your willing to spend 400 bucks on a macbook pro... The Mini is a good deal, but I am in need of a machine with adequate graphics power and portability (due to my life as a college student). i can find out what type of computer your using-i find it hard to believe that you need a mac that bad to keep a website up...use osx86 and mess around with it period. I'm sure many script kiddies could. The point is that in order to write guides, give advice, etc, I need the ability to work with the subject I'm writing about. It's a lot like asking a blind man to describe a painting. I can tell you the mechanics, but until I cna experience it, we're both being slighted. i think your trying to take advantage of the situation-flame on just my 2 cents-if i really wanted to do something to a website im running believe me i will settle for an emac or mac mini..does it have to be portable? Taking advantage of what situation? Running a forum in my spare time with money out of my own pocket? I'm not flaming you, but you should know that there are legitimate reasons for me seeking a MacBook Pro. If there weren't, I wouldn't. In other news, I'm up to 7 completions! :-)

techound1
Taking advantage of what situation? Running a forum in my spare time with money out of my own pocket? Yeah, that's hard work. This gives the rest of us a way to show our appreciation to mash for the time and energy!
munky
given what mashugly has done for this community, i dont think asking a few folks to help out *and paying them back every penny* is asking much at all.
Scothiam
hey all, trying to do my part as well, just signed up, tho, not having any success signing up for trials (that whole "i'm in canada" thing) Hope to have that sorted out and get this going ASAP. Keep a rockin!!
Swad
Great, Scothiam - thanks for signing up! Tickle offers work sometimes, but as you might have noticed from this thread they occasionally have crediting issues. The complete home and netmarket offer will likely work if you put in a US address and other information (although we're trying that right now). Keep us posted! Scothiam
Cheers! If anyone knows of any of the deals that are Canadian friendly, let me know... I don't mind the cost of admission ($1-20 per trial) just want to get it going. I've also created a support ticket on this topic at the Free4me mac site. thanks in advance!!! Swad
Scothiam- After hunting around, I think I might have found a couple. First, check out the True.com Free Trial - it says that it accepts Canadian zip codes. (Plus it's free) I think the bingo rooms - page 1 offers that cost $25 - can be used by Canadians, and as long as you meet the betting requirements (and opt out of the bonus) you can get that money back. As far as Page 2 offers go, you might check Earthlink - I think they do some things in Canada. If not, one of the 20 dollar casinos may be your best bet. You might also do a tickle ($5) test - if you don't get credit, go ahead and submit a ticket but just don't do a second one. It's hit and miss for some people, but most have no problems. Just use IE. Let me know if any of those work/help!
Scothiam
Thanks Mashugly, Will do first thing tomorow. If anyone else in their travels comes across a trial/try-out where you can actually choose your country(this is the give away), let me know. Cheers! Swad
Yeah, Scothiam, munky tried the $1 Complete Home offers from the UK using a US address (and it worked). You might try something similar! P.S. I've only got 4 referrals left, which means that if you've already signed up under my account and you'd like for me to pay for your offers, you'll need to get credited before I get my last referral. I'd love to pay everyone for all they've done, but sadly I can only afford to pay for those who complete the offers. Thanks.
munky
dude... completed the last offer, just waiting for credit. you should be one step closer very soon!

rogabean
OK mash I'm gonna give this another go.. but my tickle support ticket got denied... a little irked with them.
Swad
You might try writing Tickle directly - they may be able to do something about it on their end!
amdprophet
You should be able to demand your money back from Tickle if they don't give you your credit. Contact them and say that you signed up for their service to get credit from the other site, and that if you don't get credit you want your money back. If they start saying that they can't do that, just lie to them and say that you'll see them in court or something.
