Hi: I have a ATI X1300 pro card. Where can I get teh x0-1000 kext. And do you know if CE and QI will work for this card? jccool
This is in reply to what I said about x1000. the x1000 kext was only added in the 10.4.4 release so to use it you have to have .4 or .5 . It should work on pretty much any x1000 series card. just add ur device id to the info.plist in the kext. if that doesn't work, you may have to hex edit the binary. I don't have networking in mac so I can't provide the kext, you will just have to upgrade to 10.4.4 sry. hope this helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10415-x700-and-other-pcie-ati-radeon-finally-work/page/17/#findComment-86779 Share on other sites

Zappadoc
pretty cool JCCool! do you claim that the X1300/X14000 and X1600 works with the x1000.kext? or just a assumption? Anyone can confirm? Please keep in mind that the above guide refers to Moss' X850 XT - in order to match your Radeon card you have to modify steps 4 and 10 according to the device ID (5653 should be correct). I uses the Ati Radeon X700 128Mb mobility. In Windows the Device ID is 5653 and in apple it's the same. 2 Steps in the guide does not work: 14. Enter " " (enter) 15. Enter " " (enter) but I do not think that these are important steps, are they? jccool
Actually, these steps are important but they can be confusing. I found a way to do it manualy though. Just go to /system/library and you should see 2 files in there, one is extensions.kextcache and the other is extensions.mkext select both of them and drag them to the trash. doing this is the same as doing 14. and 15. (its important to do because if not mac won't reconise any change in the kext) then repair perms reboot and good luck. jccool
Fair ca c'est l'equivalent de fair kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions et ca marche, pour moi ca la vraiment aider. bonne chance English Translation, Rereduck, there is another way to do the confusing command, kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions, it doesn't always seem to work. Instead, you can go to /system/library and find 2 files called extensions.kextcache and the other is extensions.mkext. select these 2 files and drag em to the trash. doing this is the equivilent of doing that command and it really helped me. good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10415-x700-and-other-pcie-ati-radeon-finally-work/page/17/#findComment-87500 Share on other sites
