    OpenCL Info

Hi folks, Nice to be with you again! Now I have a 9800GT (remember the good old days when my Tiger first told me QE and CI supported on my good old X700). Since many of you report more compute units I wonder why I only have 14 ? /Users/koverg/Downloads/Bechmarks/oclinfo-0.2/oclinfo ; exit; kovergs-imac:~ koverg$ /Users/koverg/Downloads/Bechmarks/oclinfo-0.2/oclinfo ; exit; 1 OpenCL platform found! The Official SATA thread

How did you manage to boot from the AHCI drive? I have ICH7R (RAID mode) and cannot boot from SATA II. The Uphuck 10.4.9 1.4i r3 install DVD can access my (non RAID) drives during install, but after the install the machine cannot boot. I am sure that the Uphuck works on my system, because I have installed and used it on an external USB2 drive with no problem. From this I also see the (non RAID) AHCI drive with AppleAHCIDiskDriver. Cheers, koverg ps. I need the RAID mode because I have 2x250 GB in RAID0 (Windows and Linux access it via driver and dmraid). By the way! Does somebody working on porting dmraid to OSX?

    Performance 10.4.1 vs 10.4.6 VMWare

10.4.3 was the fastest for me too under VMWARE. But in it I lost the possibility of using two cores (I have Intel 820 Dual Core CPU). When I selected 2 CPU (in VMWARE 5.5) OSX hung during boot. Now in 10.4.6 VMWARE is really slooooooooow, but guess what: I can use both cores again. I remember in 10.4.1 that VMWARE was slow until I replaced some ATA kexts, but it was so long ago...

    HTTPS problem on Safari

Please help me, I have 10.4.4 and Safari 2.0.3 (417.8). I cannot open any secure (https) page with safari. The same work with Camino, Firefox, DeerPark. The message is: Safari can’t open the page. Safari can’t open the page “https://www.mac.com/WebObjects/HomePage........” because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server “www.mac.com”. Thanks in advance, Gabor

X700 and other PCIE ATI Radeon finally work

Check the vendor id it is surely not 1002 (ATI) so that is not correct. Use ATITool to check the device id on Windows.

And what about the speed difference? Can you post XBench results with GMA900 and X800GT? Thanks

X700 and other PCIE ATI Radeon finally work

I have update (edited) my first post on this topic to reflect the current state of the "project". Please send your results here and don't forget to mention the device id. May be I can figure out what is wrong with a few cards. Cheers! And thanks for so many smilies in this topic!!!!

X700 and other PCIE ATI Radeon finally work

I dont know. Nobody reported a working AGP card. Why don't you give it a try? Please firs do not run the patch just simply put the device id into Info.plist, do kextcache tricks and see what happens. If it doesn't work than run the patch and please report the results here. Thanks in advance.

X700 and other PCIE ATI Radeon finally work

Sorry, here is the fixed patch. Everyone should try whose device id is below 5b60 and the previous not OK. Cheers, Gabor

X700 and other PCIE ATI Radeon finally work

Sorry... I just figured out that the patch is working for those who have device id 5b60 or above. My fault. Going to get out with a new version soon. I hope soon even more people will be happy with it. Gabor
