I'm going to try Camino for you. Safari is giving me problems. I tested HUD on a webkit minibrowser and had no issues. I'll see....

SticMAN, that's done in Photoshop (looks like he just took a pic of the menubar, inverted it, then added his text).

MasterOfComputers: well, we warned you Safari didn't work. It's not WebKit that's causing the problems, it's the code for Safari calling certain methods, and the fact that the Safari window is a custom subclass of NSWindow.

I think he knew that, but we still would like a menubar like that. Looks awesome.

I bet we could make the menubar black by somehow modifying the invert mode (black on white in Sys Pref) to only do it's work on the menubar...?

Beatiful! Maybe with rounded corner might be even better.

You Could have a black menubar like that by using an image of the inverted menubar on the desktop background. then use Transbar (an application found on this forum) and make the menubar 100% transparent.

But it's black, so having rounded edges wouldn't show up. :D

Wouldn't really work unless the only application you used was Finder. :P

Well, not really, since it is related to getting a HUD-like appearance. It's just discussion about how we can get the menubar to look like this. But I agree, this conversation should be saved for another topic. Back to NSPanels. :)

Diabolik, any way to request custom nibs for an app (NSUIElement is set to 1)?

And since no one can figure out a login HUD, here's something amusing.
