You should always try different outputs from your card, the beta kexts may not work correctly yet. ;)

Hmm I think I tried on both VGA as well the DVI , but I will try the VGA again.

Well finally got Mountain Lion to boot past the loading kexts phase, but now it crashes/panics almost straight away

Attached File  crash.jpg   270.7K   19 downloads http://ocau.com/pix/wn3b7

Anyone can help me. I have tried with and without the acpirollback_for ML 1082_1081.zip files.

This is on a myhack ML10.8.2 install usb with the kernel Bitcore & gils used.

OK am staring to get a bit further. After adding rollback for 10.8.0_with System.kexts.zip from the working builds thread
and rebuilding caches & fixing permissions It now stalls at

[IOBluetoothHCIController][Start] -- completed. see picture

Attached File  Stall.jpg   141.36K   21 downloads

I am booting with the following boot flags

amd_kernel cpus=8 busratio=20 fsb=220 GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x2000 -v -f

As a Side Note: I have an ATI HD5970 & NVIDIA GT640 card installed in my system. ATI card = Main Display Output & NVIDIA card = Dedicated to Physx only.
Will having the NVIDIA card installed be causing my problems?

Anyone think of anything that could help, please let me know.

thanks, Madmungo

Hey guys me again.

All installations are using a Retail ML 10.8.2 image with the only kernel that dose not instant reboot. It is one of sineteks test kernel, test1.

I can get to the installation screen and choose a drive to install to, but it crashes when I click install with the following log file

Attached File  Installer Log 17-Jan-2013.txt   255.69K   2 downloads

Any one help me out here as I am tantalizingly close to getting it installed and working.

Thanks, MadMungo

Well, now I have found how to reach the install screen, but when it finishes the installation, it shows an error, its more or less: it couldnt set the boot disk, bless program.. Blabla.. or something like that. I dont know exactly, I set the installer in spanish.

So, I need help at this point, I dont know what to do.

I would remove the bluetooth adapter and see if that works. If that does not then it will be a hunt to find and disable the kext. IOBluetoothFamily.kext is the most likely. Possibly it is AppleBluetoothMultitouch.kext? Remember to rebuild your caches too! Easiest way is to download myhack and run it.

Did you download and install the libcorecrypto.dylib to /usr/lib ? (Its a hidden directory) and possibly the corecrypto kext? These require the latest amd_kernel also.

Last thing I can think of is FakeSMC version 4.0 or appledecrypt from these forums (insanelymac). If that does not work then maybe someone else can chime in...??

If you have Snow already running use this command to figure out which uid to use:

bdmesg | grep PCI-Root-UID

It did help me....
