  1. ------------------------ Update - 06.15.2016 ------------------------ A minor update of this topic - Clover (r3561) patch on the fly works fine with macOS 10.12 Sierra. ------------------------ Update - 08.18.2015 ------------------------ ok with Download-Fritz help, I’m finally able to patch my kexts with new method. it works fine with Clover r3259 + DB6 but in my case, I still have to use FakeSMC trick... I tried with ForceKextsToLoad feature but it didn’t work... not yet. ------------------------ Update - 08.17.2015 ------------------------ Hi there! almost a year later, I'm about to update this topic, not because I was too lazy to do it but just because the "patch on the fly" method has a little bit changed since Clover r3154 and which I was not able to make work. not really happy with being unable to use this method, I decided to do some tests with older versions of OS X and Clover... Bla bla bla... bla bla Bla... ... as I expected, the old method still work... and it works fine with ElCapitan DB1 I even was able to install ElCapitan with Clover r2850 and boot well on it but to have success with it, the most effective trick for now is to inject the details of my kexts (AMD5000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonX3000.kext) inside the FakeSMC Info.plist as additional IOKitPersonalities. With this trick, my kexts are always loaded. with the standard loading method, the patch doesn't work ------------------------ Update - 03.28.2014 ------------------------ just to tell that since Mavericks, we need no more those 3 kexts, only 2 of them (AMD5000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonX3000.kext) to enable QE_CI for HD6770 cards even if you use those 3 kexts, AMD6000Controller.kext will not be loaded to do this with chameleon, use GraphicsEnabler=Yes and edit 0x68B81002 -> 068BA1002 in both kexts if you want to do this with clover, use clover configurator and KernelAndKextPatches tweak: don't forget to put 'Inject Kexts' to 'Yes' if it does not work, it is because the kexts are not presents in kernel cache. The most effective trick for now is to inject the details of your kexts inside the FakeSMC Info.plist as additional IOKitPersonalities. With this trick, your kexts will be always loaded. I did it with QE_CI Exotic patch for HD48xx series cards with my old HD4830 and it works! see here for more details: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/296949-tuto-qe-ci-exotic-patch-via-clover/ p.s: here, more screens Method 3: if you're using Clover, you can make this card work with a Fake ID injection <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>FakeID</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <string>0x68B81002</string> </dict> </dict> Method 2: since OS X 10.8, you no longer have to edit those kexts, just inject your ID via dsdt: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/282687-radeon-hd-6770-full-qeci-mountain-lion/?p=1902721 (credits go to RampageDev) *This method also works very well with OS X Mavericks Method 1: i can confirm it, with the last Chameleon-2.1svn-r2054.pkg, it work well on 10.8.2 Build 12C43 !!! No more need to flashing HD 6770 into HD 5770 to have QE/CI !!! So just add your ID (0x68BA1002) into ATI5000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext <key>AMDJuniperGraphicsAccelerator</key> <dict> * * * <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x68BA1002 0x68B81002 0x68B01002 0x68B11002 0x68A01002 0x68A11002</string> * the story started with this original topic

  3. I'll just clarify that this section isn't for "omg how to get mountain lion / lion / snow leopard running on AMD". The section is named "AMD Development". This basicly means that this section is dedicated to developing, not asking help. I know I've done this even by myself, but now it's kinda out of control, everyone asking about installing ML on AMD etc. The 3 threads (SL / L /ML) should be dedicated to development of kernels and other related stuff and reports of the developments, not asking "how to get it running i get error". If you need help with AMD on SL for example, you should post on the installation help or if you followed a tutorial, ask the tutorial thread. However, I do not suggest asking with PM, because then other people can't get the same information as easily, and it's not funny to see inbox full every minute. Also, if you need help with the test kernels for SL / L / ML, you can post on this thread, I'm sure there are people ready to help you with your errors. Let's just keep the "development" threads clean of the "spam" / stupid questions (even if there isn't any). For real-time help, download an IRC client and join us: chat.osx86.hu #LegacyKernel And when you get your build running, please post here! Thanks!
  4. Hi! I always patching the latest AppleHDA for my ALC662 codec. I tried to patch AppleHDA in Mountain Lion with the same method like before, using these binary patches: sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x84\x19\xd4\x11|\x62\x06\xec\x10|g' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleHDA sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x83\x19\xd4\x11|\x00\x00\x00\x00|g' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleHDA Then I made my patched layout and platforms xml files to zlib with revogirl's converter. And changed everything like before (plists in applehda, dsdt...) But it's not working. I have the sound connectors listed perfectly in System Profiler > Sound (Intel High Definition Audio section), but the Devices section is empty there. Do I need some extra binary patch for my sound? Or what could I do? I checked twice, and I made everything like before, but it's not working... I'm using my patched AppleHDA from 10.7.4 and Sound working with that one perfectly, but I want the newest kext patched if possible. Can anyone help me find out what could be the problem with newest AppleHDA? Edit.: I tried new binary patch from RevoGirl: sudo perl -pi -e 's|\xff\x87\xec\x1a\x0f\x8f\xa7\x01\x00\x00|\x62\x06\xec\x10\x0f\x84\x68\x03\x00\x00|g' AppleHDA sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x74\x19\xad\x15\x0f\x8f\x77\x01\x00\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x0f\x84\x5d\x03\x00\x00|g' AppleHDA sudo perl -pi -e 's|\xff\x87\xec\x1a\x0f\x8f\x91\x01\x00\x00|\x62\x06\xec\x10\x0f\x84\x4a\x03\x00\x00|g' AppleHDA sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x74\x19\xad\x15\x0f\x8f\x61\x01\x00\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x0f\x84\x3f\x03\x00\x00|g' AppleHDA But still not working. Edit: works, see last post.
  5. Here is my progress on this laptop that I picked up for my girlfriend that I am converting to OSX. Setup on 10.8.2: This is a Customized Toshiba Satellite C850 (15" widescreen w/ full KB and numpad): Intel Core i3-3110M @ 2.40GHz (non-turbo) Dual Core w/ HT (4 thread total) Bluetooth added 4Gb DDR3-1600 (1 of 2 DIMMs populated) Windows 8 is the native OS :vomit: (* Indicates that an additional KEXT was needed.) NO DSDT needed for my current state of functionality. Working: *KB/Trackpad / 2 finger scrolling / 1 finger side scroll / 2 finger tap right click / tap to click iTunes/Volume control via FN keys *Internal Audio / Microphone Built in Camera - Might not work properly as I don't have QE/CI yet, however an image is seen. MAIN ISSUE TO RESOLVE: Getting the HD4000 to work with QE/CI Without it the display is usable but kind of laggy at times and is obviously not optimal to use. Looking into the platform-id options for this card, this might make me change boot loader to get this to work. According to System Profiler my HD4000 has 64MB of VRAM (no setting showing this in BIOS). And what I read about the plaform-id thing I need to use something like these: ig-platform-id: 01660000, Stolen RAM for FB: 96MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 4, FBMem: 3 ig-platform-id: 01660001, Stolen RAM for FB: 96MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 4, FBMem: 3 +ig-platform-id: 01660002, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 1, FBMem: 1 +ig-platform-id: 01660003, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 2, Ports: 2, FBMem: 2 ig-platform-id: 01660004, Stolen RAM for FB: 32MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 1, FBMem: 1 +ig-platform-id: 01660008, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 3, FBMem: 3 +ig-platform-id: 01660009, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 3, FBMem: 3 ig-platform-id: 0166000A, Stolen RAM for FB: 32MB, Pipes: 2, Ports: 3, FBMem: 2 ig-platform-id: 0166000B, Stolen RAM for FB: 32MB, Pipes: 2, Ports: 3, FBMem: 2 ig-platform-id: 01620005, Stolen RAM for FB: 32MB, Pipes: 2, Ports: 3, FBMem: 2 Display: Type: GPU Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x0166 Revision ID: 0x0009 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1366 x 768 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes $ lspci 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Unknown device 0166 (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems Unknown device fb20 I can manually load "$ sudo kextutil -v 4 /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext" It claims to load properly and shows in kextstat output but doesn't have an effect on the system (as I expected). So any Clover Experts out there? Or tips on getting this Graphics "card" issue with QE/CI resolved?
7. What kernel to use with the Intel Atom N450? I am trying to install Mac OS X Mountain Lion. My netbook is the Acer Aspire One 532h. It has the Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz. The N450 is 64-bit. I know that because, I put Windows 7 64-bit on this netbook, And because on the Intel ARK website it says it is 64-bit. What kernel should I use? I would like to get Mountain Lion on this Computer. I don't care if the Graphics Card work. That is another project for me. Thank You
  8. Hello, happy developers! I hiope this topic will not be just a waste of time for you, but following this topic and the release by Netkas of a 32 bits ML kernel, came to my mind a strange idea, i''m just a noob but following my message someone encouraged me to submit my idea to Slice, just in case... Here's the message i sent to him, it exposes my idea, but the answer from Slice is far better in the sense in that it opens a practical way to make this simple noob idea an eventual reality, it doesn't implies that Slice is supporting or approve my idea in any way, it just explains things better: And (with his permission) here's the Slice's answer: (/Off-topic note: about the Attansic/Atheros L1, the problem can be solved by using AttansicL1Ethernet.kext from SL and PCIRootUID=1) So what's your thoughts about this? About nvidia incompatibilities with ML, you could read also this article, interesting in the sense that we can see that the problem with nvidia is more complex than just a 32bits/64bits issue. In any case, i'm available for testing/anything, but of course i can't help for programming, because i'm only a dumb and useless musician, sorry... The goal is to find a global and sustainable solution, not just for me or for osx86 but also for regular apple users who suffer of incompatibilities between their (not so old, after all!) hardware and Mountain Lion. - - - - - - - EDIT 09-12-12: I have EXCELLENT news! I've found an actual exemple of what a wrapper could look like: it's called nspluginwrapper (see attached file), and it's used to load 32bits plugiins, like flash for exemple, in 64 bits browsers! Of course it is really focused on NPAPI, so it could not be usable "as is", but... but... this is for me a "proof of concept", and i'm sure we could find other examples in the Linux world... A good start point for possible genius developers? - - - - - - - nspluginwrapper-1.4.4.tar.gz

    ML on Samsung NP530U3C Ultrabook

Hi All, So after several different Hackintosh computers I'm at my latest. Shame it seems I've forgotten most of what I've learned before, but I'm up for more learning! Well the computer at hand, was up for a good price in the UK, all things considered it should hopefully work out after rebate at £375 but I digress as this topic is about getting Mountain Lion on the device. As you can see from my signature I'm not new to this, having a few computers which have been tinkered with over the years. Hopefully the experts, amateurs and the other lurkers will help me into getting mountain lion installed and fully functional on this Samsung Ultrabook. Some tech specs first: 13.3" LED (1366 x 768) Intel HD 4000, 6GB DDR3, Wifi Swapped for Atheros AR9285, Li-Polymer, 3rd Gen (Ivy Bridge) Intel i5-3317U Processor (3M Cache, u 2.60 GHz), 24GB I-SSD, 500GB HD lspci -nn 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:0154] (rev 09) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:0166] (rev 09) 00:14.0 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e31] (rev 04) 00:16.0 Communication controller [0780]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e3a] (rev 04) 00:1a.0 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e2d] (rev 04) 00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e20] (rev 04) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e10] (rev c4) 00:1c.3 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e16] (rev c4) 00:1d.0 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e26] (rev 04) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge [0601]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e59] (rev 04) 00:1f.2 SATA controller [0106]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e03] (rev 04) 00:1f.3 SMBus [0c05]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1e22] (rev 04) 01:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Atheros Communications Inc. Try all sorts of methods to get unibe@st to work on making a USB bootable stick and get frustrated at it not booting. Eventually remove the HD from the Samsung Laptop and install ML 10.8.1 to it from another computer (GUID partiition) Install Chimera 1.11 to HD to enable booting from HD Boot From HD, lots of errors on verbose boot, so many graphics errors I can't remember them all. Finally I've settled on the following: 1)Fresh install of 10.8.1 2)Install Chimera 1.11 3)Use the following as my chamelon bootlist data <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1366x768x32</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v</string> <key>RestartFix</key> <string>No</string> </dict> </plist> 4)I'm using the Macbook pro 9,2 SMbios plist 5)Install the Following attached kexts to get Wifi (but no success with bluetooth). Problems: a)Graphics : So this is where I'm upto, the internal screen works but I don't have QE/CI. I've tried all the available options on the IntelHD platform ID (from 0-9 and AB) but am unsuccessful. On one of them, string no 3 I believe and Graphics enabler off I get full QE/CI on my HDMI connected monitor but my internal laptop screen is blank/black. b)If I boot from the HD, the trackpad doesn't work. After finally getting a unibe@st installer working, I can boot from it and select it to boot the HD then the trackpad works. c)USB ports don't work aswell as a whole lot of other stuff. If someone could please assist me in helping to fix this laptop I would really appreciate it. Also I'm trying to get back into editing my DSDT, but I'm failing miserably so help is appreciated! As far as I can understand the spec is very similar to the ASUS UX32VD. Thanks in advance for help received. Sam Samsung dsdt.aml.zip Atheros AR5B195 pack.zip
  10. Hi, any guide for AMD ASUS M4N68T, I had been tried install mavericks yet it hangs on "still waiting for root device" and also common issues with nforce mother board especially there are no settings in BIOS suitable for overtake the issues I'm trying in the main time im trying the Verdant nforce for the M. 11. I have successfully installed MacOS 10.8.3 on an HP Envy 3D 2100 CTO laptop. I have an Intel i7 2860QM CPU (Sandy), and for graphics it is Intel HD3000 and ATI Radeon 6770m (Chipset is 6 series). Both GPUs are recognized by the mac (I can see them in System Information). However, the only graphics I see are on an external display connected via HDMI. During boot, I can see the verbose output of the bootloader on my internal display, but when Mac OS is fully booted the login screen only shows up on the external monitor. I've seen the EDID injection guide, but when I follow the steps the only EDID I get is that of my external monitor. When I boot windows and get EDID of internal display, then try to do the EDID injection again, it doesn't work (I don't have all the necessary numbers and ids to use for folder and file names). Has anybody seen this problem? More importantly, has anybody solved this problem? If you have any info or ideas, I would appreciate both. Also, I'm ready to give any detailed info or upload my dsdt/ioreg (or anything else). I'm pretty determined to fix this damn thing. Thanks in advance! ECS H61H2-MV DSDT Help

For the past 5 weeks iv'e been trying to install Mac on my new desktop I had it running fine on my old one but nothing i try will make it install on my new one after asking around iv'e been told it may be down to the DSDT. I have no clue about DSDT and was wondering if someone could help me. I have a H61H2-MV motherboard a AMD Radeon HD 5700 i3 32-40 3.4ghz All the information & Specs >>>> http://imgur.com/a/4YHzT Iv'e tried just about every bootflag possible and still nothing all i get is a black screen and then it eventually restarts or if i let it load normally i get the white screen with apple logo but no spinning wheel. Edit: Iv'e also tried numerous version of MAC from Iatkos, Vanilla to Niresh
  14. Hello all. I used to have a a mostly fully working Hackintosh system, but due to the mobo's lack of power management (even patched) I gave up on it, and I swapped out to a different one that's considered by the community to be more Hackintosh compatible and suchlike. Here are my new machine's specs: Motherboard: AsRock Z77 Pro 3 (I don't know what BIOS revision) CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k @ 4.4 GHz with water cooling RAM: 16 GB DDR3 @ 1600 MHz Storage: 1x 1.5TB, 1x 1 TB and 2x 2TB, 1x 120GB SSD for Linux GPU: Zotac nVidia GeForce GTX 460 Amp'd Edition 1GB GDDR5 I believe.. the card is from 2010 Two 1080p 24" Displays I was able to launch the installer and successfully install ML with both displays active but my issue is that I can't get the system to boot up natively unless in Safe Mode (boot flag -x), though I guess that isn't quite native. I know my GPU is older, but on the aforementioned other mobo (now being used in my other desktop system that serves as my HTPC, of which I'd like to reattempt to Hackintosh soon) I was able to get my it working just fine... I think I had to get its device ID or something and put into my chameleon.boot.plist? Would my best bet be to get a GTX 470 or higher? Is getting this older GPU working a waste of time and effort? I intend to use OS X as a dedicated video editing 'workstation' as I want to have it triple booting with Linux (running now) and Windows 7 or maybe I'll try Windows 8.1. I've read peoples' success stories who have my same board, but they flashed a patched BIOS. I'm weary of doing that since I bricked a previous board I had and I don't want that to happen again. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Help Needed: HP G60-440US DSDT patches

Hello I have installed OSX 10.8.5 on my HP G60-440US laptop. I have mostly everything working except GMA 4500m, Sleep, and Power Management. I am looking for assistance in patching my DSDT to enable Sleep (also via lid closing), Power Management, and possibly any and all suggestions about finding a kext that will supply resolutions for the GMA 4500m. I apologize in advanced if I am missing any information. Please let me know what additional information is needed. Configs: Intel Pentium T4300 (1M Cashe, 2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) GMA 4500m Hoping to gain: 1. Native Power Management (via DSDT) 2. Sleep (via DSDT) 3. Lid Sleep (via DSDT) 4. Brightness slider in Display System Preference (via DSDT hopefully) 5. Working Kext for ML to support resolutions of GMA 4500M. I understand the QE/CL issue. Thank you. Update: I have been able to get LPC to launch via a DSDT patch. AICPM is also launched no kp's. When sleep is engaged I get a white screen with pointer. Also, I am unable to get any type of battery kext working. Currently have RehabMan battery kext installed but no battery reading. Just an X in battery icon. DSDT.aml.zip
  18. 19. Hi guys! My first post here so I apologize if its in the wrong place! I'm very new to this stuff so sorry if i ask stupid questions haha. First my spec: Asrock Fatal1ty x79 professional Intel i7 3930k 8gb Corsair Vengeance 1600 Asus Matrix 7970 Platinum At the moment, i'm just trying to boot into the installer. I'm using the clover bootloader and iAtkos ML3U on seperate usb drives. I boot into clover, select "install OSX from iAtkos ML3U" and it starts to boot, and then hangs on "system uptime in nanoseconds:*insert a load of numbers*". I've tried -v, -x, usekernelcache=no, cpus=1 and none made a difference. I have virtualization, speed step and HT disabled. I can't use Graphicsenabler=no because on x79 theres no intergrated graphics, so i can't try that (I don't think?) I am stuck! Any ideas?
  20. 21. Hi all, Here is what i got on my Lenovo Edge e420. Mountain Lion with 10.8.5 update, Chameleon bootloader and MacBook Pro 8.1 smbios. Internal screen goes black after the apple logo and external HDMI monitor also does not work. Got into the system by deleting AppleIntel kexts and enabled screen sharing then put drivers back. In VNC I see it is working flawlessly with QE/CI and variety of resolutions detected including my native 1366x768. I've tried Clover also with EDID injection (from Windows) - did not help. Also tried hdgraphics_patcher (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286879-appleintelhdgraphicsfb-fixed-sl-1068/) - used kext from 10.8.4 also did not help still black screen after apple logo. One thing also - when booting with external monitor connected or when detaching it the internal screen gets blue sometimes for a few seconds like it is "secondary" (I'm not sure though 'couse I can't connect through VNC with external monitor connected). Guys please help me to move to right direction I got stuck and I really need hackintosh on this laptop. Thank you.
  22. Hy there, After a lot of search, install, remove reinstall, etc i finally managed to install voodooHDA, however i can't make it work... no sound device. I have an asus p5b-plus vista edition and installed voodoohda 2.8.4 via #####! Before i reboot i change Info.plist by adding IOPCIPrimaryMatch with my device and vendor ID. The getDump scrip return this error: IORegistryEntryGetPath returned 0x10000003 kextutil sudo kextutil -n /System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext No kernel file specified, using '/mach_kernel' /System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext appears to be loadable (including linkage for on-disk libraries). And dmesg is attached... dmesg3.txt Anyone can help? Thanks in advance
  23. Hello Im new here and need some help , ive gotten os x 10.8 to run on my lenovo ideacentre k300 but i have some kext issues and dont really kno how to really fix things , i had voodoo hda 2.7.2 to work with the niresh 10.8 distro but it didnt let me install anything after customizing the install everything worked besides installing things upon first boot after i created my account , and i needed internet and it wouldnt install so i had to do a reinstall of niresh distro, well i reinstalled forgot to tick voodoo hda common drivers option upon install and i installed it myself with kextwizard but i think applllehda is conflicting and needs to be patched or something well i rebooted after fixing permissions and rebuilding cache it gave me kernel panic im thinking its because i didnt use the verbose flag but before the the reinstall i didnt have to it booted right in. I had read that verbose mode fixes common kernel panic problems on boot well i would like to know how i can get sound and graphics resolution to work right , now i just have the resolution tweak on and cant see my apple sign and file options or logout or anything up on top if you guys need all my specs i can edit or reply with them im not totally noob im just a little bit stuck and i do have system info app , thank you please dont be hard on me as im new and you guys know how frustrating this can be getting os x on common hardware , thanks for responses in advance!! my soundcard is ALC662
Rede: Realtek 887 Family.
  25. I have an ALC888 audio chipset (VIA audio). I decided to patch up the latest AppleHDA.kext (10.8.2 version). If it doesn't work for you try changing the ID in the AppleHDAController binary to suit your PCI ID (not codec id ofcourse as that is ALC888 or 0x10EC0888) You can get your audio controller PCI ID from IORegistry or lspci Next look for and change: Find DE10E30B Change to XX (vendor upper byte) XX (Vendor lower byte) XX (Device upper byte) XX (Device lower byte) Example: 06118832 = 0x32881106 (allready supported as it is my audio card, VIA VT1708/A audio) DSDT edit is also needed... Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x04) { "layout-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x0C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "PinConfigurations", Buffer (One) { 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } This is the _DSM method for injection layout-id 12 Result works great... I'll be updating this codec with each release of OS X No assertion errors or so... If you all post your controller ID's I can implement them in each new release of the kext Screenshot under System Profiler below... EDIT: Update... just hacked the 10.8.3 kext... pleased to announce it works well ALC888_AppleHDA_10.8.2_ML.kext.zip ALC888_AppleHDA_10.8.3_ML.kext.zip
