Simonej Posted February 13, 2015 Share Posted February 13, 2015 @InsanelyDeepak + Slice I'm not expert but i made some test for install Windows (Uefi bios), I always used Rufus my advice is star Rufus USB Win from bios not from clover (only for first installation) because when I started Win8 installation from clover it has created Microsoft folder, needed to start Windows, good for legacy but not for UEFI). You can also create DVD to install Win8 without UEFI mode (I don't know why) and you can see Windows partition from Mac preferences/Boot Disk. @SliceAdvice for C3Latency, in config.plist we need use decimal value or hex value? You said: Typical values from native Mac: (IvyBridge) MacPro5,1 - 17 MacPro6,1 - 67 iMac13,2 - 205 MacBookPro9,2 - 198 but I'm using 0x43 for my E5-1620v2 (MacPro6,1 Smbios) Advice for Haswell + Macpro Smbios? What exactly do you want? A dual Boot USB Stick with Win and OS X? Or bootable OS X only? You do not need Rufus for both, and actually - using some tricks - it is quite easy to make such a dual boot stick for both Win and OS X (UEFI only!) If interested, I can post how to achieve this. how to load this using clover ... by using a custom Entry that points to bootmgr.efi or - maybe even better - to the original boot file (that you must backup before installing clover!) And I also had to add the HFS+ driver or else Clover would not boot from USB stick. Not sure if this still applies tio the latest versions.
