Thank's to everyone ,who help here in this beautiful forum :D I'm a proud owner of Asus Z53S and now I have iternal sound card with all working with the AppleHDA and ALCInject kexts . :)

I'm still waiting for wireless solution for Intel Pro3945WL...and I want to ask ... there is not a kext file in the AtansicL1GigabitEthernetDriver :)

Did somebody tell me how to put all this files from this driver in the proper place ???

Thank's beforehand !

out of curiosity, doesn't the apple N card need 3 antennas vs the 2 in the 3945 card?

I just bought a Atheros AR5008 abgn card from my Asus F3Sv-x1 laptop to replace my 3945 wireless pci-e card. The AR5008 card has three antennas but the 3945 has only two antennas.

questions:

1. will this card be compatible with my asus laptop?

2. if so, where do i put the 2 wires from the laptop onto the 3 antennaed card?

i don't mind if i don't get "N" speed. i just wanted something that would allow me to work wireless.

thanks

not sure if it's gonna be compatible, check on HCLs on osx86wiki

and you put 2 wires numbered 1 and 2 (probably) to corresponding slots on the new card - simple as that ;)

i checked the osx86wiki and it was compatible that's why i bought it in the first place.

Fiko, point of using -v is to tell people where does it stop loading, that's how we can help you. Please type the line that it stops at

1. did you following the instructions from the first thread of this posting produced beautifully by antaholics? :(

2. did you try installing the modded bios which has a link in the first thread as well.

3. i recommend that you print out the instructions and tick the steps as you work yourself thru

4. reburn the disc at slower speed and on a quality disc.

5. when you do enter -v at the prompt be "patient" sometimes its thinks for a while. give it as least 20 minutes before you see the "light" aka osx installer window.

I got it working... thnx to the bios update which i downloaded from this topic.

But now i have another problem. The installation was finished and the laptop rebooted itself.

Now it wont start none of the os

I get this in dos:

Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key.

Going though the dual boot part now... wil that fix it ?

Hello everyone! I own a Asus G1 Laptop ( the original...not the asus G1s or G2). I have windows XP SP2 installed on it. I partitioned my harddrive via diskpart, creating an unknown primary partition. I then restarted my computer and loaded into the Kalyway 10.5.1 dvd and installed it on the partition. When I got to the install screen I selected only the things that were suggested on the first page of this thread. It installed successfully! I have not installed any video, audio, or any drivers whatsoever yet. Hopefully soon I will try some if anyone has any suggestions? There are two problems I'm having 1. When I boot up and am given the option of selecting XP or OSX if I select Xp it won't boot into it, it just hangs there looking like this ( / ). 2. I can't shutdown OSX normally. I wait and it says OSX needs to restart by holding down the power button or waiting for it to shut off, but it doesn't shut off so I hold the power button. But besides that, it seems ok. I just wanted to confirm that it works on the G Series laptops : )

Hi you guys,

I've finally updated my Asus F3Jc to 10.5.5 using the Pre and Post Patches found on this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=109102

Now, I have internal keyboard, trackpad and shutdown support. I can use the 10.5.5 vanilla kernel or the Voodoo Beta 1 kernel. No problems.

Scroll working on the trackpad - HOW TO

I've wrote this small how to get the scroll on the trackpad to work on the F3Jc laptop. Maybe it is usefull for other laptops. I don't know if this is a double post, but several people have asked me for this so here it goes. I'm posting this in Portuguese also.

ENGLISH

Go to System Preferences/Keyboard&Mouse and activate Trackpad gestures with Clicking e Dragging. Close System Preferences.

Then head to System/Library/Extensions and find ApplePS2controller.kext. Backup a copy to the Desktop and another to the Document folder or whatever you like. Open the Kext on the Desktop by clicking it with the right mouse button and choosing Show package contents.

Then, go to the folder Contents/PlugIns and remove the AppleTrackpad.kext. Close the folder and use Kexthelper to install the modified Kext on the desktop.

Reboot and that's it.

If you don't like the way it works, just restore with Kexthelper the other ApplePS2controller.kext copy.

PORTUGUÊS

Ir às System Preferences/Keyboard&Mouse e activar o Trackpad gestures para Clicking e Dragging. Fechar o System Preferences.

A seguir ir à pasta System/Library/Extensions e procura o ApplePS2controller.kext. Copiar o kext para a pasta Documents e fazer outra cópia para o Desktop. Abrir a cópia do Desktop e clicar-lhe com o botão direito do rato; escolher: Show package contents. Depois, abrir a pasta Contents/PlugIns e eliminar o kext AppleTrackpad.kext. Fechar a pasta e usar o Kexthelper para instalar o ApplePS2controller.kext que foi alterado no Desktop.

Reiniciar o sistema e pronto. O trackpad deve estar a funcionar com Scroll. Se não funcionar, ou se não gostarem do funcionamento, basta usar o Kexthelper para reinstalar o ApplePS2controller.kext original guardado em Documents.

I know the method jjduro showed again, but I dislike it, because it makes trackpad and mouse share the cursor moving speed. I got my mouse way slower than touchpad, so it's kinda weird to set

Ok men, i really need your help, because i haven't vista anymore, just XP, and because we've got similar HDA cards and we need a key from Vista registry Explorer about PinConfig of ACL660/ACL660vd cards to make these working complete (=SHUTDOWN)

So please, can you search in your registry the key "PinConfigOverrideVerb" and dump results here ????????

Thanks...

This will look like that : (ACL268 dump)

That key have to be injected in AppleHDAController's plist file, most of us have a ACL268 or ACL880 PinConfig, that make the OS can't shutdown properly the card...

well it's the only method I know. But you're right. It's not great. And I don't use it much.

i installed the card. it is detected as airport device but i get nothing - i mean no network connection. the radar icon did appear on the desktop but no quality level present. i didn't get the extra antenna to get the "N" speed so my third (middle port) is unconnected to anything. how do you know which wire goes onto which antenna port? i have black and white antennas.

where can i get the driver for this card from. i search everywhere.

i am running 10.5.3 kalyway
