sirNemanjapro
This is 5th or 6th time Im installing this. The problem lies in the combo update, and in video drivers. When I first installed I have chosen deafult sleep kernel, forgot to add video drivers, and updated to 10.5.3. And thats the only time I managed to update it. All other times I have tried other kernels, ways to update... What is the correct way for me to install 10.5.2 and update? I have: Intel Core2Duo E6750 DFI BloodIron T2L Kingston 2x1GB HyperX 9600 Gainward 8600GT GS GLH (256mb) I would appreciate any kind of help on this one! Also, when it goes to sleep, and returns it wont show any of the USB sticks, but the Growl shows them as loaded! Thank you for any kind of help. turnup
Okay after trying a bunch of different iso Leopard install disks, this one finally shows some promise, but I have one huge problem, it doesn't see my hard drive, at all when is asks to chooses the destination drive(or whatever), nothing shows. I tried plugging in an external Sata Hard Drive, and patritioning and formatting (Fat32) it as a last resort. But when installing i got to around 15% percent then got this message |the installer could not install some files in "/volumes/leorard."| perferably I would install in on my laptop hard drive. but either way I could really use some help. jaxfan
So I have reinstalled this many times. Each time I can install it and it boots up the first time only if I install the sleepkernal. But after the first boot it wont let me boot again. It shows me this Mac OS Version: Not yet set Above that a bit up it says Error code: 0x00000003 Not sure what any of this means Specs: Asus k8n-e deluxe motherboard AMD 3200+ 2.2ghz Nvidia Gefore 6800 Extreme Ram 1.5GB The first time it boots up everything works. Wifi works great and every thing runs perfect. The sleep even works just when I shut it down or restart I can never get back to it. Tell me what you think the problem is. Jitters
Howdy Everyone, I seem to have a slight problem with using Kalyway. I am completely able to run the installer on my system even under the "vanilla" kernel but about 20% into installation. the installer tells me "The installer could not install some files in 'volumes/(your drive)" What should i do? Im installing it to a 20 gig partition before i actually install it on its own drive (formated with vista, and in fat32). Help please thanks! I had the same problem and recently figured it out, you have to go into disk utility which is under windows i believe, not exacly sure, but you have to go into that program and then select your partition and format the disk for something like MAC OS Extended (Journaled) not exactly sure, I'm a noob at this. but after you reformat using that you'll have no problem. jflo
hi everyone. i'm completely new to this. i followed the dual boot installation guide (intel only) on the wiki for this version (kalyway 10.5.2 intel/amd sse2/3). every time i try to boot from the dvd, i have to use safe mode (-x) to actually get the booter to run. i'm not exactly sure what line it gets up to, but from what i can remember it's loading extensions or kexts from 422d60 or something like that. it loads up all these files, then all of a sudden the comp restarts, taking me back to darwin boot load. my system is an old gateway system i had that i recently got to work again: 2.8ghz intel pentium4 (sse2 supported) intel D865GLC motherboard Nvidia GeForce 5200 512mb RAM (gonna upgrade probably to 2gb sooner or later) 120gb WDC WD1200BB-53DWA0 HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4040B dvd rw soundmax integrated audio not a very fancy setup. i checked the HCL, i think it should work. the install guide says sse2 is supported, but not recommended. the chipset's vanilla/efi kernel does not work according to the HCL, don't know if that will affect the install. i just want to get osx running as a little project for myself...maybe learn a little bit. thanks!
