Ok...

It may be stupid but I downloaded all kexts listed in the p5k 10.5.7 package plus the nvinject one, installed the chameleon pkg, put the kexts in the extras/extensions folder and tried to boot... I didn't really expect it to work but I tried... haha

Any hints?

Thanks.

SHUTDOWN FINALLY!! :)

I just did a fresh installation.

I finally managed to get shutdown working, i must've been stupid not to see this before, but it was the sound codec all the time. Everytime I integrated the AD1988B codec or Taruga_AD1988b_rev4 my system wouldn't shutdown anymore.

For Ethernet I used the AppleYukon-1.kext

Audio works with the new VoodooHDA from Jimmy...THANK YOU JIMMY!!

Only thing remaining is I can't use the SPDIF out anymore? Sad but ok we'll see what the future brings.

O.K., first hello to everybody on this forum. I've installed Leopard 10.5.6 from 1'st page instructions, but Attansic L1 is not working. I've installed kext for 10.5.6, but still nothing. What to do?

edit:

I am an idiot. Went to System Preferences, choosed Network and system automaticly recognized it.

Tested here, and it did not work... unless you manually unload the kexts... back to codding :(

Hi Jimmy,

How far are you with the integration of the 'sleep, sound fix' script in your installer?

I am very curious.

Thank you.

Grts,

Wally

Jimmy,

Thanks for the effort.

I regret that it does not work.

Hopefully you succeed in the future.

Hi again.

First, sorry for my english.

Finally my system can sleep but not with my aluminium apple keyboard.

After a lot of reboots and resets, i discovered that with the original apple keyboard, my system not sleep. When i use it, and press power bottom, the computer crash in sleep and not awake.

Instead, if i use a trust wireless for mac keyboard and mouse, my system can sleep and awake perfectly. Well, the computer sleep only if i press the power bottom or clicking apple logo and sleep: i set in system preference 5 minutes to sleep but never get it...

I install the IOUSBFamily to get sleep.

In other point, imovie09 crash when i connect my canon camcorder. I fix it installing other AppleSMBIOS.kext (crash with p5kfamily_10.5.7). Version 1.0.13 works fine.

Any suggest to sleep with apple keyboard?

Thanks

Does anyone have SPDIF out working with voodooHDA?

My system works perfectly really happy, although that sleep sound issue with voodooHDA isn't solved, i never used sleep before so why should i now?

HAPPY :D

@ santif

Do you have the latest BIOS, I had problems with my apple keyboard and solved it with a BIOS update.

Hi, that is strange, it should work... well it works here, as you can see in my description, probably the problem is with the usb kexts, read the FAQ, there is a link for a sleep solution you may follow..

Dear everyone and hello guenthergruen,

The method described in your link doesnt works here.

I think this has to do with the user authentication

and rights when the systyem attempt to

load or unload the .Kext driver(s).

(Unattended with "Sleep Watcher")

Someone with an idea or solution?

Obviously, the code manually in a terminal window, with the right rights works properly.

Greetings,

Wally

Hi Wally,

it works, if you set yourself as the automatically loggid in user in system preferences under users, that way i think you stay logged in.

DOn't know exactly, at least it works here.

I've got another problem, my hack doesn't automatically switch to sleep mode. If i set it myself it will switch to standby instantly, but if i set the rulers in system preferences it doesn't do anything except switching off my monitor.

Anybody solved this problem?

greetings

guenthergruen

Hey Jimmy,

Wanted to thank you for your instructions. I got an almost perfect install using your instructions.

here's what I have:

P5K-SE-EPU

Q6600

Saphire 4870 512MB

Like I said almost everything works perfectly, except for a kernel panic whenever I do anything involving scanning my disc such as importing pictures into iPhoto or Google Picasa.

Any ideas on how I could investigate this?

If not, thanks anyways for your fantastic instructions.

Thanks for the manual Jimmy.

But...

Have you a problem with Ethernet?

In my case network utility shows receive and sent packets 0, but the network works.

And MAYA 2009 crack don't works.

Crack needs MAC address of Ethernet in .dat file, then patch aw.dat with keygen, then aw.dat need to be opened with maya. But Maya said error in line 1.

Have you the same problems?

Hi

Does Sleep really work ? Ican not manage to enable it, system wakes up immediatly and shutdown doesn't work anymore with USB fix (i tried both slice's kext and zhell's dsdt trick)

EDIT

The graphic card seems to be the cause of quick sleep resume, without ATI kexts sleep works, but restart is still down

Thanks for the reply Jimmy!

I'm using the on-board one, Attansic L1 I believe.

I'll check the system log and try and post the relevant sections. But I remember last time I checked via the Console application, there was not much information there. Maybe I need to boot with some special parameters to get more detailed information in the log?
