3. This is a very quick guide on making the Recovery HD partition usable in El Capitan, bootable via Clover. 1- " diskutil list " * you will get de partition list, note that the Recovery Partition is obviously named " Recovery HD "... * check the number of the partition it is in, in this case, 3:, so, you will have disk0s3 as mount device... --- /dev/disk0 (internal, physical): #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *240.1 GB disk0 1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1 2: Apple_HFS El Capitan 239.2 GB disk0s2 3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s3 --- 2- create a folder in Volumes folder for Recovery HD and mount it there... " sudo mkdir /Volumes/Recovery\ HD/ " " sudo mount -t hfs /dev/disk0s3 /Volumes/Recovery\ HD/ " 3- enter the directory and remove the " prelinkedkernel " " cd /Volumes/Recovery\ HD/com.apple.recovery.boot/ " " sudo rm -rf prelinkedkernel " 4- now, copy your working prelinkedkernel there... " sudo cp /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel /Volumes/Recovery\ HD/com.apple.recovery.boot/ " and just in case... " sudo touch prelinkedkernel " 5- reboot and test it... (takes some time to load even in real macs) Enjoy!

nVidia Geforce GTX 650TI on 10.8.4 Hackintosh

You can use to any smbios config, since you add the proper key to AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext in the section that corresponds to MacPro 5,1 Get the files, open the kext bellow and copy the info, and paste to the section desired. " * AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext Info.plist ( on Mac-FC02E91DDD3FA6A4 copy Vendor10de11c6 key ) "

    P5K-SE - Retail Leopard Instalation

I have a new rig right now, I got into this as I was on vacation... details are on my signature... Installing Hackintosh is much easier now, creating a boot USB using myHack and adding extra kexts to it. btw, myHack installs are better than ##### ones... Cheers

HOW-TO Target System: MAC OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.4 Graphics Used: Zotak Geforce GTX 650TI 1GB SMBIOS Used: iMac 13,2 ( Mac-FC02E91DDD3FA6A4 ) * Always Install Files before you install the Graphics Card... How to install? 1- Get this files Zotac_GTX_650TI_1GB.zip, unzip and install using a kext utility tool; 2- Use "Chameleon Wizard.app " to edit your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist, make sure you set to GraphicsEnabler=No and set SMBIOS to iMac 13,2; 3- Turn off and install your Graphics Card. Done! ( or at least should be ) What if we get an update, e.g. 10.8.5? 1- Download the update but do not apply; 2- Extract the files to patch with a tool, pacifist works; 3- Edit/Add the info to the kexts; 4- Install the update, don't restart; 5- Roll Back AppleACPIPlatform.kext to the one in the zip file; 6- Install the files you have patched with a kext tool, and restart. What Files to patch? * AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext Info.plist ( on Mac-FC02E91DDD3FA6A4 copy Vendor10de11c6 key ) * NVDAGK100Hal.kext Info.plist copy the IOCIOrimaryMatch * NVDAResman.kext Info.plist copy the IOCIOrimaryMatch <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string> 0x11c610de£amp;0xffe0ffff </string> Cheers and don't mess up!!! For 10.9.5, it works out of the box

HI, there is not any tool for lion, but general steps may be used as found here. You are right, that cpu information may be fixed using chameleon to display the desired information, it is cosmetics though as it does not affect the system.

Hi, you may crossflash (on your own risk) but IDE is not recommended, 'cause it does not work in the install process, you need SATA DVD and a SATA HDD. else, just follow the instructions. Good Luck

Hey well, the epu mobos are tricky! you may crossflash your mobo, to a plain p5k-se but, first, try that be sure your first sata connector is on your first hd, and your second sata connector is on your first DVD try to boot it now if that fails, crossflash your mobo, but be sure what your are doing. Else, it should work. Good luck.
