Think of this as of a demo version and as of a free marketing campaign. Therefore, let it be

ENJOY ! if you love MacOSX think to buy it !!!

This DVD should only be used to preview Mac OS X Leopard. If you really like Mac OS X Leopard and you want to use it,

you should get a real Mac. If buying a real Mac is too much, you can, at least, buy a license for Mac OS X Leopard.

Wait wait, it's say jmicron compatible, so that's mean is you can use this release on your Ga-p35-dq6 mainboard, you can use a sata hdd with ide optical drive and don't get "still waitin for root devices" message!!!

to install efiv8 previously we had to format guid. does it not matter with this release? its gonna emulate efi regardless? or would we have to use guid if we chose vanilla kernel.

essentially what i'm asking is, with a blank HD is it recommended/preferable to select guid?

This might mean that the sleep and hibernate functions should also work too right? Im just anxious to try it out since with the other Leopard dvd's I have been getting no root device error. Hopefully this will be different.

Does not matter. You can format your disk With GUID or MBR with the leo diskutil. Depending of your choice, you have to chose the EFI in "custom install" that corresponds(EFI_MBR or EFI_GUID).Vanilla kernel works on the both.

yes , i recommand it to you

sleep and hibernate works well, effectively. for the no root device , i cannot answer to you since you didn't tell us what is your chipset . anyway ICHx and Jmicron(AHCI sata and Ide port) works well. if you can chose AHCI in your bios , it is the best choice, but sata enhanced Ide(ICHx) is well supported too.

All of my drives are SATA and my bios does not have ACHI. It only has Raid on or Raid/ATA. Its a dell xps 410 with core2duo, one 320gb hard drive, one dvd rom, and one dvd-rw drive. All are hooked up by SATA. Kalyway's Tiger version booted well so I take it this may too. I dont think my Motherboard has a brand name since it is a dell model.

Ok edit: I found out I have Intel ICH8R/ICH9R SATA Raid controller

Microsoft iSCSI Initiator

and SCSI/Raid Controller

Most devices say they are ICH8 in the Device Manager.

i can boot with a dvd room in the jmicron ide port???is possible?!
No, it is not because of the lack of drivers. Strangely Leo installed on Jmicron Ide disk works perfectly but install DVD does not.I think the problem is the ATAPI implementation of the Jmicron. Darwin on it seems uncapable to see the HFS part of the DVD. Anyway after install you can use IDE dvdrom on Jmicron it works well
any 8800 GTS g92 support maybe????????
Not yet, but as soon the apple 10.5.2 will be released we will focus on that. Cos it seems G92 have been added to the Nvidia kexts.

Are most of Tarugas drivers (kexts) included?

I´m thinking about the Sigmatel STAC9271D especially.

Or how much of Intel is supported by default with this DVD?

I guess december won´t suck so much now. haha

Thanx

not yet, only have here pc with alc882, 883 and adi1988b. so impossible for us to patch for a sigmatel. it seems taruga patcher patche only if it finds the audio chip on your pc. but we have integrated Azalia hd output for a maximum compatibility. but you can applying yourself taruga patch for your audio and if it works well , send us your Alc inject and AppleHDA kexts. we will integrate them in the next release
