Current OS X Version:

iATKOS 1.0ir2 - Leopard 10.5.1

Install method:

Darwin Bootloader, ToH SSE2/SSE3 Kernel, remove Power Management and Thermal Kexts

Patched AppleSMBIOS (seems to work without this as well)

Realtek drivers

No other drivers installed (it refuses to boot with any Nvidia driver & AGPGART)

Homebuilt Desktop System:

Motherboard

Manufacturer: Asus

Model: P5P800 SE

Version: Can't find the revision number

Bios Version: 0805

Chipset: Intel 865PE, ICH5

Audio: Soundmax AC97 ADI 1888 (808624d5) - Must use "front" mic input. Speakers plugged in Line In.

LAN: Intel Pro/1000 MT 82540EM (8086100e) - Looks like it's installed and recognized correctly but it crashes/freezes the system after a while as soon as there is any internet traffic, no matter what application generates it. System logs don't reveal anything...at least not to me.

Required patches:

None.

CPU

Model Number: Intel Pentium 4 model 651 - 3.40 GHz

Recognised as: Pentium 4 3.4 GHz

Memory/DDR: 2x512MB DDR RAM in Dual Channel config

Video

Manufacturer: Leadtek

Model: Winfast A7600GT TDH (Nvidia Geforce 7600GT - 10de02e0)

Bus Type: AGP8x

Memory size: 256MB

Dual screen working? - can't test, only have one monitor

QE/CI working? - yes

Resolution changeable? - yes

Card shows up as PCI device due to no working AGPGART.

Installed post OS install using NVinject with manually inserted Vendor/Device ID in the relevant kexts.

I'm using an NVCAP value that disables TV-Out - system would boot up to a blue screen with mouse pointer if my TV was plugged in. With this it simply ignores it:

04 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 06 00 00 00 00 00 00 07 00 00 00 00

SATA/IDE:

Working perfectly.

IDE LiteOn LTR-52246S CD-RW - fully supported, has Apple driver!

IDE LiteOn SHW-16H5S DVD-RW - using generic driver

Two Seagate SATA HDDs, has Windows XP on one and now Leopard on the other.

I'm using F8 on bootup to choose which HDD to boot from.

I can access both my NTFS partitions fine from within Leopard.

Other peripherals/pci addon cards?

Realtek 8139A PCI card (10ec8139). Works great, but the driver reports it's running in PIO mode:

Feb 8 16:03:21 beerkexds-Macintosh kernel[0]: com_orByte_driver_RTL8139: vendorID = 0x10ec deviceID = 0x8139 revisionID = 0x0010

Feb 8 16:03:21 beerkexds-Macintosh kernel[0]: com_orByte_driver_RTL8139: io access at csrBase=e800.

Feb 8 16:03:22 beerkexds-Macintosh kernel[0]: com_orByte_driver_RTL8139: Ethernet address 00:00:xx:xx:xx:xx

misc hardware:

Logitech cordless USB mouse/keyboard, fully supported using Logitechs own drivers, can use all the funny little buttons at the top including shutdown and volume buttons, which is very nice..keyboard even has Appe/Command/Option keys.

Logitech USB Quickcam Pro 9000 - works right away and comes up during install to take my picture for my user account! Very cool. Works great with Photobooth too.

Canon Digital Ixus V2 camera via USB - working flawlessly.

Dane-Elec 1GB USB Pen drive - working flawlessly except when waking system up after sleep it thinks I unplugged the pen drive, remounts it and spits out a warning about data loss. Maybe it thinks it's a hard drive?

USB PlayStation Controller adapter with two controller ports from Play.com - works fine! I can use my Dualshock gamepad in ZSNES 1.51. It's also working with SDLMAME. I am guessing any USB HID game controller (or adapter) will work.

E-MU XMIDI 1x1 USB MIDI interface - works out of the box, no driver required.
