Current OS X Version: 10.5.1

Install method: Kalyway DVD, EFI + Vanilla Kernel + Vanilla Kernel ACPI

Prebuilt Laptop

Manufacturer: Toshiba

Model: Satellite A105-4211

Motherboard

Manufacturer: Toshiba/Intel

Model: N/A

Version: N/A

Bios Version: N/A

Chipset: Mobile Intel 945GM, ICH7/M

Audio: Realtek ALC861 working? yes - speakers and headphone jack both work patches? installed AZALIA_out kext on Kalyway disc during installation

LAN: Intel PRO100/VE (1092 8086) working? yes patches? must add "-f" kernel flag at boot, otherwise AppleIntel8255x kext doesn't properly load

CPU

Model Number: Core Duo T2050

Recognised as: 1.6 GHz

Memory/DDR: 2x 1GB DDR2-533 DIMMs (Crucial brand)

Video

Manufacturer: Intel

Model: GMA950

Bus Type: Integrated

Memory size: N/A

Dual screen working? Untested

QE/CI working? Yes

Resolution changeable? Yes

Resolution? 1280x800

Patches? None - Autodetected on booting the Kalyway disc, automatically set screen native resolution.

SATA/IDE working: Yes - detects both DVD-RAM drive and internal HD, mounts Windows partitions.

Wifi & patches?

Intel 3945abg wifi card, does not function, patches completely untested

other peripherals/pci addon cards?

PCMCIA working with IOPCCardFamily and IOPCIFamily patches (found here)

misc hardware:

Using a Buffalo WLI-CB-G54L PCMCIA Wifi adapter, automatically detected as a "Broadcom 802.11bg" Wireless adapter, uses internal Apple drivers (GUI configuration and Airport menu all working).

ACPI seems a bit iffy. CPU Fan seems to run more than it would in Windows, and the CPU does seem to run a bit hotter than in Windows (CPU temp monitor doesn't function, so I cannot tell for sure). Also, I get no battery meter or power-saving information/configuration options even though it is a laptop.

Occasionally, the laptop locks up at the boot screen. I got one full BSOD-style crash and a few instances where the login screen doesn't appear after boot.

External USB hard disks and such work fine. Leopard was installed onto and boots from an external USB disk (This is my wife's laptop, so I was completely forbidden from installing it on her internal HD for fear it would mess up her exisiting XP install)

Current OS X Version: 10.5.1

Install method: Kalyway 10.5.1 DVD. Not choosing the vanilla kernel, using the default kernel in the DVD.

Desktop

Motherboard: Intel Original 915GAV

Manufacturer: Intel

Model:915GAV

Version:

Bios Version:

Chipset: 915GAV

Audio: Working when selecting the audio drivers that come in the DVD while installation.

LAN: working

Required patches: no extra patch required, everything seems to be working.

CPU

Model Number: P4 3.0Ghz HT

Memory/DDR: 1GB DDR-400

Video

Manufacturer: Intel

Model: GMA 900

Bus Type: Onboard

Memory size: 256 MB Shared

Dual screen: there are no dual ports on MB

QE/CI working: I don't think so, but do not know where to check. System specs only show Quartz.

Resolution changeable: yes

Required patches or bios flashing: No, although my bios was previously upgraded to the latest version from Intel.

SATA/IDE working: Yes, I have a SATA HDD and a PATA IDE DVD Drive.

One thing that was causing issues while installation was that my DVD drive was not set as Master - it was a secondary slave. I read about the issue in this forum (I am not the original person to resolve the issue), and set my DVD drive as Secondary Master and then installation went fine.

I would recommend that you start the installation using the -v switch after DVD booting so that if any errors occur you can view them. The first time I booted from the DVD there was an error (due to the DVD being Slave) and the HDD just kept spinning for 1 hour after which I rebooted with the -v switch to see the error.

Thanks for release, hope it works for you all too.

Please add to my previous information about installing Kalway Leopard 10.5.1 Intel SSE2 & SSE3 efi V8 post in the Leopard 10.5.1 HCL for Dell Latitude D600

I got the PCMCIA/Cardbus slot working on the Dell Latitude D600 by following the driver installation instructions at: http://forum.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/i...php/t81036.html

Login as Root

Follow the instructions at: http://forum.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/i...php/t81036.html to replace the IOPCCardFamily and IOPCIFamily drivers

Reboot

Insert a PCMCIA/Cardbus card

Enjoy!

Here's the proof of my Dell Latitude D600 PCMCIA/Cardbus slot working with an Adaptec DuoConnect AUA-1411 USB 2.0/1394 Cardbus card with a USB Flashdrive inserted into it and mounted on the desktop:

Current OS X Version: 10.5.1

Install method: iATKOS 1.0irc2

Desktop/Laptop? Desktop

Prebuilt? No

Motherboard

Manufacturer: Asrock

Model: 775i65GV

Version: 1.90

Bios Version: Dunno

Chipset: 865GV / ICH5

Audio: CMI9739A - Working out-of-the-box, AC'97, no need to switch output jack.

LAN: RTL8101 - Working with Realtek 8169 patch.

Required patches:

EFI Emulation

SSE2-SSE3 Patch

Remove CPUPowerManagement

CPU

Model Number: Celeron D 326 (2,53 GHz)

Recognised as: Intel® Celeron® CPU 2,53 GHz

Memory/DDR: 1,5 GB DDR400

Video

Manufacturer: NVIDIA

Model: 6200 A1

Bus Type: AGP8x

Memory size: 256 MB

Dual screen working? N/A

QE/CI working? Yes

Resolution changeable? Yes

Required patches? Working with NVInject included with iATKOS.

SATA/IDE working: Out of the box.

Maxtor PATA 160 GB

Samsung SATA 250 GB

WDC SATA 250 GB

HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10A (Haven't tried burning yet, I guess it works)

Wifi & patches? N/A

other peripherals/pci addon cards? N/A

misc hardware: Genius PS2 keyboard and mouse, all working fine.

Notes:

- Formatted unused space on my (MBR) IDE disk (already had 1 NTFS partition) as HFS+ (no actual dualboot, the other partition was for storage only), installation went smoothly.

- LAN needs 8169 patch.

- Audio output says line out, regular speakers jack is used, but global Volume control doesn't work (it's probably ICH5 driver's fault, the same thing happens in Linux with that driver).

- "About this Mac" closes all applications and reboots the GUI.

- I used the SSE2 patch, but this processor is SSE3-enabled so it should work without patch, maybe I will try installing without SSE2 patch next time.

- NVInject driver wrongly detects the card as 128MB, but 6200A doesn't use TurboCache so it should be 256MB instead. Tried with NVInject patch included with iAtkos 1.0irc2, will test latest NVInject V31 later to see if it can be fixed. **UPDATE** NVInject V31's 9C20 drivers correctly detect 256MB! Yay!!!

EDIT: 200th post in the thread yay!
