good point doix its a 110 page topic and could probably lose 30 of them from idiots asking(or begging) for it to be released before its ready and they would be the first to scream when theres a kernel panic because it was released early

you are perfectly right snuffy58 :P

First of all, I don't know who you are calling an idiot, but I've heard rumors that the image is being uploaded online from several forums. You may be referring to them as idiots, but surely not me.

Haha, I did here rumors though that he was uploading the image this very moment. However, I am sorry if you feel that I am repeatadly asking, because sometimes it feels that this thread is inactive at times. :P
Oh,come on man: let Zephyroth do his work!. If Zephyroth Rev 2 is not release yet maybe is because it does need more testing right?. I am sure that it will be available when it is done (do not ask where). Let him take his time:be patient!... :D
Cool it, this is my first time running MacOSX so try not make prior judgements. Patience counts, and I'm sure we all know that. As long as the project remains in an active stage, we can all hope for a flawless image to be uploaded online sometime later this week. Cheers.
MegaMACOSX@1. STOP ASKING!!! rev2 will be released after apple releases the 10.5.2 update. 2. NEVER UPDATE AN AMD HACKINTOSH the updates must be patched in order to work on a AMD HACKINTOSH3. STOP ASKING AGAIN ABOUT REV2 you asked twice in a single day when will rev2 be released its annoying and zeph will not release rev2 just because you ask for 3-4 times in a single day..stop it really :D be patient
:)
np tux :) just trying to stops stupid/useless posts :)

hi all

Tx to Zephi for the hard work!

First here my PC Spec:

AMD 4200x2 [s.939]

MSI K8N neo nforce 4

1Gb Corsair + 1Gb Kingston[400mhz]

3850 VideoCard 256mb

I had before that, a Gefore 6800GT and used/installed the Jas amd version. Everything worked fine, i did the same progressa gain with the new card[10.4.8Tiger] and could install again. The only Problem was the 1024xReso and i dont know why i had no DVD Rom anymore?¿!

So started dl the i think zeph. version of Leopard, it detects my HDD[tested with IDE+SATA1+IDE DVD] and installation went perfc. About 30min later first Reboot i get the following Error[i think it must be a error] :

Kernel Ver.

Darwin 9.10 [date]made by tohxnu-12288 etc...

rightwhen I reboot for the first time it saysDarwin Kernel Version 9.1.0: Fri Nov 16 14:50:43 SCT 2007; made by ToH:znu-1228.0.2~1/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386and it's stuck at that, why?

I started to read this thread, and 1 member had the same Error but dunno if he managed to resolve it or someone helped himout. Until page 20 is ok, cant read all 111 Pages.

Anyway, maybe some off u can help me, besides that i did use once a ide>sata converter for my ide dvd rom, but i had only reboots reboot reboot...dunno why....

Thank you in Advance for any help and sry for my poor english ortography.

bye

In Terminal i suppose, dvd boot again?¿

Also i had nearly zero option to select[customize, only the nvida driver, no vanilla kernel ervery is talking etc..am i using maybe a outdated veriosn ?]

I found lifehacker and will try the steps there...i can install 10.4.8, but i dont have afteer install any dvd rom and the reso problem.

Tx for ur help.

Not in the terminal. What DoiX means is when you boot and the Darwin Bootloader appears, then press any key.You will be able to boot with options. Then type the flags referenced by him...

I did the cpus=1 -x install[takes more time to boot], and i still get the same Kernel Error Toh from my first Post. So i know it has nothing to do with my Cpu and the 2 Cores. Gonna try again..... :)

I always skip the DVD Check before Installation..i did 1 Install with the Check, and had same Message, about Kernel ToH.

Megamacosx I'll give you a small lesson theres 1000 posts in here and the thread is going daily so no its not dead. In my many years of designing and installing custom audio/video rooms I've found everybody wants it done yesterday when in fact it can take many months. So chill when its released I'm sure you will know or wait heres an idea check the posts or wiki it will be there. And as far as rumours go I heard rumours 6 people are going to jump off the edge of the grand canyon but I don't call them hourly asking if they are going to rumours are just that rumours when this is released everyone will know it and you can go nuts with it until then chill out use tiger or rev 1 and familiarize yourself with kexts and how to change them because you can bet not every system will work out of the box.Oh yeah and just a little hint since your not paying for it but begging alot you might want to thank all of the people involved in doing this it is done on their spare time and for free and I'm pretty safe in assuming they have personal lives too.(right guys lol) and thats the last I will say on the begging pleading or whatever you wanna call it topic.

I've got Verifing DMI..... and nothing happend

>>/usr/misc/script.sh Leopard dosen't work at Terminal......

My spec...

Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (s939)

4X512 MB of ram

ABIT AV8

PNY Gforce 6800 GT

2 IDE Hard Disk 40 gb Seagate(slave) and 80 GB MAtrox(master) Primary Channel

2 DVD's Lite-on 451s(slave) and 160H6S......

Maybe zep give me an access to rev2 beta ..........

currently running zephyroth 10.5.1 rev1 on an acer 5050

amd turion 64 2.0ghz

1gb ram

ati radeon mobile 1100

sata has no support, running off of external hdd, had to boot tiger to copy the ps2 controller kext so it would recognize my keyboard, still wont recognize the touchpad, had to use usb mouse, wifi worked out of the box, no sound yet, but as far as it goes, its the smoothest leopard install i've done yet.

thanks so much zephy, cant wait for rev2!

Definitely, I have given many thanks, and am also hoping of developing my own How-to Tutorial once revision 2 releases. Thank you as well. Since this is my first time with MacOSX, I can be anxious here and there, and I can surely feel the strength of the developers of this AMD patch. Without them, I would still be stuck with Vista :P . - Cheers, and thumbs up.

I FINALLY got 10.5.1 to boot, and I started to get HAPPY ( it was a long hard road outta hell) (10.5.1 seemed to have alot working right outta the box for me) So I had to Remove the GeForce Kexts, it booted and then came the account creations lock ups!! I had to RESET 4 times to get to the FINAL SCREEN, where u make password and thats where I AM STUCK, I have tried 3 times alone to get past that and into the desktop, but NO luck. Although the last time I rest, it seemed to have created the 1st account, I filled in my as usual, got to the PassWord screen, and I was told that "THAT NAME IS ALREADY IN USE" Okay I thought I will change a bit and I will it to work! NOPE!! I just get the Spinning Color Wheel appears and NOTHING happens, I let it go for 35 mins and it didnt work?? Any Ideas?? I do have nforce LAN disabled and I went out and bought a Realtek PCI Lan card that is Working!! And does anyone have any Idea about my Geforce 8400GS?? has anyone got that outta Native resolution>?T#WT

DoiX,

I downloaded that installer and Installed it

But there was no luck for me ... still having same old low resolution

I have Geforce 6150 on my laptop .... any suggestions ?

find MacVidia 1.0.7 or NVInject Go. I believe those work.

As for my integrated nForce 4 6150, they will never have QE/CI.

/usr/misc/script.sh Leopard

I get a file not found error. What am I doing wrong. I think this is my last step before I get Leopard to boot. This is on a fresh install of Leopard only.

yazyazoo J had the same problem as You and it is easy to do... Look at http://osx86.wikidot.com/known-issues#toc5

<h2 id="toc3">Making Mac partition bootable</h2> Issue: After passing various installation obstacles, the bootload hangs at a blinking cursor "_" .

Solution:

Boot with the DVD and use -s at boot load.

sudo -s

fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX --->(X is the number of your HD, if you have only on its 0)

update

f X --->(X is the number of the partition where you installed Leopard)

w

q

reboot

.................................................

But I'm having diffirent problem......How to obligate My Gforce 6800 GT (AGP) to work.....I downloaded and installed NVidia Universal Installer.mpkg but still didn't work properly

--delete---Sound works,inet and gpu doesnt.[3850GPU,Nfroce4]

€ : i did the fidks -e /dev/rdisk 0 too, but without sudo-s.

€ : What is the recommend "playsize" for any MacOSX Partition ? I want to use Vista + Leopard...are 15Gb for Leo/Tiger sufficient ?

:guitar: a bit hidden, but i found disk util. What is better first Vista than Leo or the other Way ?

Any news about 3850[only 2d, no need for 3d or games] ?

A good size for Leo will be about 10Gb at least:the extra space that you would like to give depends on what do you think to do on Leo. About the Vista or Leo thing:I kept Leo first and did not give me any problem. Make a research first...

Hi, i'm totally new here, but i have a quick question: I have a 2.0Ghz AMD Athalon 64 3000+ and an ATI AIW radeon 9800

does anyone know if i can put leopard on my comp?

I do not know what is your Motherboard or chipset (you must begin from that). But if your video card is supported,I do not see why it could not work (post your spec:very important)...

Yes,there are some places where you can check if your spec are compatible (among other very important things). Check my sig and make some research. Greetings...
