1. I'm posting here because I've almost forgotten a lot about the OSx86 scene since two years ago when I gave up trying to get sleep and hibernate to work on my old desktop (10.5.2). Okay, so I installed Snow Leopard 10.6.3 retail on my Gateway laptop dualbooted with Windows 7 (GPT). Worked alright. WiFi worked, sound worked, webcam worked out of the box So I wanted to get my graphics card working so I tried following checco's guide to get my ATi 5650m working. Said I had to combo update to 10.6.6. So I did that, first without bootflags (using ##### legacy) and later in safe mode (-x flag). Got a kernel panic near the end of the update when I booted with both methods. Bunch of black highlighted lines with white text showed up on top of the GUI. It was repeated lines kernel panic and I saw some kext at the top called IOPlatformFamily. Why would that kext cause a kernel panic during the combo update? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Do I need to use some kind of boot flag on ##### legacy disk or should I install Chameleon first from #####/manually on an EFI partition and use a boot flag from there?
2. Mobility Radeon HD 5650 QE/CI WORK! (26/2 Update!)

I'm gonna try it tomorrow after my midterm. Let's see how much of a headache this is going to be trying to get this to work.
3. Mobility Radeon HD 5650 QE/CI WORK! (26/2 Update!)

Awesome! I want to try this! I've been holding out installing OSX again until there's a way to get 5650m working! Looks like the Chinese board is right! :censored2:
4. Can't see the screenshot. What's the hint thing to register? Sorry, I'm not Chinese. If it really does work, then I can finally try installing OSX on my laptop. : D Does, QE/CI work? Resolution? EDIT: It does work! Screenshots at this thread.
5. ALC883 finally 5.1 sound !

Installing CHUD gives me a kernel panic..
6. Vista Problem after Leopard Install

Nope... I just tried it. Didn't work.
7. I tried a new dual boot with Leopard today after using Vista for a while and not having Leopard installed. However, when I finished installed Leopard and I wanted to go back to Vista, I got some kind of winload file missing error... think it was.. \Windows\System32\Winload.exe missing. Is there a way where I can get my Vista operating system back? If there isn't, is there a way for me to access my registry through OSX because I can't find my Call of Duty 4 serial.
8. Shutdown/Poweroff Fix

I'm guessing this is an only-Intel fix right?
9. ALC883 finally 5.1 sound !

I was afraid of that >.>
10. ALC883 finally 5.1 sound !

I hope I get shutdown/reboot with this driver. *prays*
11. I'm guessing its Tiger-only driver then.
12. shotdown-ERROR already exists

huh? i thought the thread was calling me... guess not lol
13. restart/shutdown/sleep capable?
14. AppleHDA ALC268 Shutdown Issues [SOLVED!]

Meh, same issues as well... I wonder if installing a new kernel work? I'm going to try it if it works.
